POV. Looker

The faller, Nicholas Frost, was strange. He seemed extremely wary of Pokémon, almost like he didn't know what they were. Believable, just because Pokémon are everywhere here, doesn't mean they are everywhere Everywhere. He is still suspicious.

"What do you think?" I asked the man next to me.

"He reminds me of an old friend." He replies.

"Come on now Nanu, we both have plenty of old friends."

"Giovanni." That got my attention. Nanu rarely brings up old wounds.

"How so?" I reply wearily. Nothing good comes from bringing up the International Police's Most Wanted.

"Cold. Logical. Ruthless. After all the books we have been giving him, he immediately focused on finding out where he was, and how to survive. I think he knows how he got here. You missed some glaring questions, Looker." Nanu glared at me. "Questions like, what do you do for a living? Have you ever killed anyone? If given a set of guidelines, would you follow them? Just because its a crime here, doesn't mean its a crime where ever the United States is."

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

"It's not like we are going to let him loose. You remember what happened the last time a Nihilego got a hold on a faller? We're lucky it wasn't there long or we might have had some problems with removing the poison. Either or, I want you to train him. Your Absol saved him, you can take care of him while he is on Ula'ula."

"No way!" he growled. "I'm retired, I'm not a member of the I.P. or the League. If Tapu Balu wasn't so lazy and picked another Kahuna, I could retire fully to be with my Meowth and play kendama. Speaking of, my kendama is missing. I should go find it."

"You're just as lazy Nanu." I rebuke. "At least find someone to keep an eye on him and keep him alive. If we can keep him on our side, that would be great. I don't like seeing dead children, the Ultra War incident was bad enough."

"The kid looks to be in his 20's, I'd hardly consider that a child. I'll find him a Veteran to apprentice him, what do you think of Jada?"

"The Tutor's grandkid? I suppose she is ready for the promotion. I'm leaving for Kanto. Lance wants me back for something." I state. "Take care of the kid. Fallers are problems in the early days."
