Chapter 4 The Fiction

I didn't expect to wake up in a bed. I didn't expect to wake up at all in fact. My biggest surprise, however, was waking up cuffed to the bed. They were nice cuffs, the kind that pad around the ankle. The room, however, was bland. The walls a blank canvas of cream, the door a metallic sheen of the same shade. A few machines stood by the bed, humming in the background. The only other thing in the room was an empty chair.

In the midst of gathering my thoughts, the door opens, and I realize that there isn't an interior handle on it before my attention is consumed by the creature that entered. A odd looking ape, draped in cloth, with a cardinal star on its head. Another creature entered behind the odd ape, this one more recognizable, and the recognition terrified me.

A Pokémon. A Pokémon. Those aren't real. Pokémon aren't real. There is a Pokémon right in front of me. I watched it walk into the room, so it HAS to be real. But Pokémon aren't real. There's TWO Pokémon right if front of me! The ape should be one as well! But Pokémon aren't real!

"Oranguru said you were awake. Looks like he was right." A man spoke from the door. Tall. The fedora on his head scraping the door frame, a dark suit masking his build, all surrounded by a trench coat that mantled him like a uniform. His piercing brown eyes gleaming with suspicion.

"What's your name." he said, not a question, a demand wrapped in politeness.

"You first." I shot back.

"No, I insist. After You." The apes eyes glowed.

"My name is -----
