When Louie’s clock went off he got up and after making sure everything was squared away and ready to march out, he went to the vendor and looked at what it had as armour and weapons.
Ok, I’m looking for something like Samurai armour, but not so bulky, and maybe something like a Katana or a naginata, something that I can
Maybe use all that bones that I got as loot from the Ratkin. Hmm . . Nope...Nope . . nothing? Ok, let’s look at the armour they do have.
Let’s start with Scout armour, hmm to soft, just cloth armour.
Maybe something in leather that has a bit of a +stealth?. Nope. .Nope. .Yes, that will do.
Pants, boots the whole caboodle.
Something to cover everything, a Hooded cloak, I can modify that to look like a long coat with a hood, jip.
Now looking for a face mask that would fit, Nope nothing?
I will make a plan.
Now weapons, that looks like a Katana but with a straight blade more like a ninjato, I can work with that.
No Naginatas?. . Get a good spear and that short scimitar and I will make myself one.
I must not forget to get some tools.
Better get Sher a better bow and arrows than that crappy Ratkin stuff I gave her, won’t do much good against the Golems but we are not going to be in here forever.
He placed everything, which cost him just over 6G Rounds, into his inventory and, after making sure they were still asleep, left the restroom and went into the starting area.
He took a seat in the middle of the road and spread everything out in front of him.
First, he looked through all the skulls and found one that looked like it might belong to a gorilla, but the
He carefully marked out and then cut out the frontal part of the skull.
Clearing out all the ridges and inner bones he took some thin metal pieces that he bends and fitted to the skull with copper wires that he threaded through small holes that he drilled with a small hand drill.
He took the plain leather helmet that he bought and covered it with glue before placing it in the bone skull.
He fit it over his head and made sure that it fit right before he uses his
There was a bright light and he removed the helmet that looked totally different now.
That was actually quite stupid, placing it on my head and doing the spell, it might have permanently bonded to my head, or fried my brains, I got to start using my brain more.
Next, he used the facepiece that he had cut from the skull and did the same with a piece of leather that he got from the leather hides he had in his inventory.
Then, he took the belt and the four rings that he bought, they each have 1sq that can stack ten of the same items, and fixed them together with the scabbards from the ninjato and a dagger to the belt and glueing small bone disc to keep with the Boney theme.
He worked through all the armour pieces he had, splitting long bones down the length and fixing them to the armour with glue and copper wire before using
Last he took the ninjato and removed the handle (Tsuka).
He was disappointed that this wasn’t a real ninjato but something that was produced by the system, there were no pegs in the handle and he had to unscrew the pommel.
Damn it’s a pity this isn’t a real Katana, I always wanted real Japanese weapons.
He took a couple of split long bones and glued them along the back of the blade, he replaced the round guard and wove some red insulated copper wire through the guard and around the tang over which he layered some small long lengths of bone.
Louie replaced the pommel and wound the handle in a nice pattern with the rest of the copper wire, he took a small bottle of the strongest alcohol the vendor had, and poured it over the blade and set it alight, he grinned.
Ha Ha, I hope this work.
“Damn!”
He opened his status and right-clicked on the skill.
Armourer A maker, supplier or repairer of armour and weapons
“Nice, very nice, last one.”
He took the spear and, after a great struggle with the saw - from the carpenter kit - that he bought from the vendor, he managed to cut through the shaft just below the spear blade.
Damn, that shaft is hard.
He stopped for a moment and reflect on what he had just thought, and then went back to work with a small smile.
He drilled a hole down the shaft and took the two hundred and thirty-centimetre scimitar blade that he bought, after removing its handle, forced the tang down the hole in the shaft and glued it in place and repeat the process that he used on the ninjato, except he ran the bone lengths halfway down the shaft before wrapping it in bright copper wire.
He took the finished naginata and took a stance.
Slowly he started twirling the weapon like a cheerleader does a batten in a parade, faster and faster till it was nothing but a blur he closed his eyes and concentrated on nothing but the feeling of the bladed staff and the wind it created.
He slowed down after he felt the weight of the Naginata shifted in his hands, he opened his eyes and came back to his stance.
He looked at the naginata and smiled.
He moved all the tools and armour-leftover pieces back into his inventory.
I should get myself a workbench.
He made sure that the workspace was clean before he arranged the armour out on the road.
Hmm, like a mix of pre-pulse leather pants and a long-sleeved shirt with an open face helmet and skull-like facemask.
The boots come up to the knees and the gloves will serve as bracers as it comes up to the elbows.
Then there was the long coat with the hood that can cover everything and keep out the rain.
The armour looks like snake eyes from GI Joe and Skeletor’s love child, Baddass.
All the armour pieces have what look like thin bonelike plates bonded to them. He silently laughs as he looked at the armour.

"WOW! Did you buy that from the Vendor?”
Louie spun around, he was so captivated by the armour that he didn’t even hear Joe and Sher approached.
“I definitely didn’t see anything like that in the catalogue.
“Nope, I made it. I was tinkering around with modifying some of the armour and I got a skill
“Nice so you got a crafting skill just from messing around with armour.”
He shook his head. “I’m sure it wasn’t that easy, but Ja, this is a two-hander but since I started putting my points into strength and constitution I have been practising with one hand and I’m doing pretty well, might want to get myself a one-handed war axe but I’m attached to this guy." he fondly stroked his axe.
Louie saw they were dressed in their armour and ready to go. “Let me just go put on this and then we can start, Here Sher I got you this. You can give that shity bow back now and Joe I made this for you."
He smiled as he took the Ratkin bow from Sher and gave her the one he bought, he also handed Joe the Shield he had made from the Beatle wing casing.
"Be right back.”
He sprinted towards the restroom to equip his armour.
As he came past the vendor he used the last of his coin to buy Bowls of food and a bunch of bottles of the Nectar drink.
They decided that Joe will attack the left because he had strapped the shield to his left forearm and Louie will work the right-hand side, Sher will bring up the rear and be the designated healer and will only take potshots with the bow, although they don’t know how effective the bow will be.
As they left the safe zone Louie noticed that all the dirt and rubble he dumped before they took a rest was missing.
Just to make sure he checked the Dungeon notification and saw that it still showed 001/103. So they have to kill 102 dungeon spawn.
They came up to the opening in the wall and after Louie made sure there was no Golem nearby they went through one of the holes in the sheet metal fence.
He pointed at the Rolls-Royce.
“This is what I told you guys about yesterday, for some reason that car did not turn into a golem and I think that they barricaded the road to keep that away from them, when that beetle came out here it practically crawled up the wall to get as far away from the wall as possible.”
After observing the car for a while they moved a bit closer for a sneak peek.
Suddenly there was a flashing icon in the top left-hand corner of his HUD.
Attention. Warning The mana flow in this area is chaotic due to the presence of anti mana material.
“What? Did you guys just get a warning?” Joe shook his head while Sher nodded.
“Yes. Something about anti magical material.”
They looked at Joe. “Maybe it’s because you don’t use any spells and stuff.”
“Maybe.” He agreed.
"So, let’s look around and see if we can find this anti-magic material.”
They searched the car from top to bottom, and couldn’t find anything weird, Louie wanted to kick himself for not using his skills.
Got to start thinking more Game-like.
He activated his
It looked like the people that were in the car were going on a holiday.
He felt a slight pull towards a suitcase, it appeared to be a boy’s luggage and in the bottom, they found a small box with labelled rock samples.
There was a small bottle with a shard of metal inside that was giving off weird waves and it was labelled Tswaing meteor fragment.
Louie could feel the effects of the fragment on his armour and his body, Sher looked positively green and even Joe looked a bit sick.
“I want this; this can come in pretty handy at some point. But how do we stop the anti-magic effect?”
“Lead.” Joe snapped his finger and stepped as far away from the car as possible before he took out the vendor tablet and start scrolling.

“I saw something in here last night before we went to sleep. Ah, there it is, a small lead-lined jewellery box, prevents thieves from using
“Damn I got no Coin left, can one of you buy it for me? I will return the coin as soon as we take down the next golem.”
Joe shook his head. “Nope, but I will buy it for you if you make me some armour like yours?”
“Deal, I will throw in modifying that axe of yours for free.”
“Deal.” They shook hands when all of a sudden a soft glow enveloped them both.”
“Bloody hell.” Louie opened his status.
Status inventory journal Quests Contracts Reports
"There is now a tab for contracts. And it states that I have agreed to make Joseph (Joe) Wilemse a set of armour and modify his axe in exchange for a jewellery box, and failure to do so within 2weeks will result in the confiscation of the box and its content and a reduction of 50% to all stats till the time I have resolved the issue. Damn that’s heavy.”
Joe and Sher looked on in horror.
“What, I think it’s a good thing that the system will enforce contracts, don’t worry I will make you a set of armour, as soon as possible.”
While Joe left for the vendor, Louie went through the contents of the car and inventoried everything.
He then decided that he would rather take the whole car before they leave the Dungeon.
There were just too many nice things in there to leave.
He got a nice Shakespeare Ugly Stik GX2 rod and reel, but the most surprising thing was when Sher took a slingshot that was on the floor in front of the back seat.
“Yes. Now, this I can use. Scrap the bow, give me this and I will kill stuff.”
She chuckled as Louie looked on in wonder at the maniacal glint in her eye.
“Sher are you ok? It’s just a slingshot.”
“Just a Slingshot? Just a slingshot you say? This is a Wisdom Tactical Slingshot. I loved these. Mine wasn’t this good but it was good enough.”
“I take it that you know about slingshots and how to use them.”
“This is Worcester, I grew up on a farm, you need a license for a firearm, but not for a slingshot, when I opened my shop, times were lean and I had to hunt Rabbits even Klipspringers on weekends to fill the fridge, so yea I know how to use a slingshot.”
Louie laughed.
“Good, use it, it can’t do worse than the bow that you are struggling to use. Here.” He handed her the box of steel balls that he found the first time he went into the Dungeon workshop.
Just then Joe appeared and Louie scooped the bottle with the metal fragment into the jewellery box and as he closed the lid the flashing icon in his HUD disappeared.
“Good the anti-magic effect are gone, anybody wants something from the car? If not. Then I think I’m going to take the car, there are some nice things here that I might want later, like the leather seats.”
Joe asked in astonishment. “How much inventory space have you got?”
“Well, I think that because the system was putting stuff in my inventory before I knew I had an inventory, and the stuff from the landslide, mine is quite large.”
“How large?” Sher wanted to know.
“Let’s first make a promise that we will keep all personal information that we share while we are in a Dungeon to ourselves and not share it with anybody outside of the Dungeon except with the consent of the person whose information you wanted to divulge.”
They looked at each other and shrugged. “We agree.”
A soft golden light enveloped them.
“Ok.” He scratched his head and looked slightly uncomfortable. “250sq”
“You got 250squares space in your inventory?” Joe shouted and Sher looked on in wonder.
“Wow.”
“Aaaa. . . It’s actually 250 X 250sq,” their jaws practically hit the floor.
“Damn, that’s not an inventory that’s a bloody warehouse, how?”
Louie shrugged.
“I think it’s all the dirt and rubble from the landslide, it looks like each square only took about a 1 cubic meters of dirt and due to the complexity of the material they didn’t stack so the system just kept on filling squares till I was pulled into the Dungeon, and I got rid of some of the rubble last night. So I have some space available.”
They just shook their heads, so he inventoried the car and started dumping more rubble, the heap was growing bigger and bigger and by the time they had exited the barricade, the space was practically filled with sand and rubble from the landslide.
He made sure that there were no Golems near the opening before he went back to the far wall and started dumping the rest of the rubble.
2hours later when he has finished the heap of the material was nearly halfway back to the safe zone.
Both Sher and Joe were impressed. “Damn that is a big pile of rubble.”
Louie received a notification.
Earth Manipulation For personally moving more than 40000 ton of earth, Gaea has granted you the spell Earth Manipulation. Shape the earth for 10meters around you any way that you wish, the structure is only limited to the amount of Mana and your imagination.
“About 40 000 ton of rubble and I got a spell from Gaea.”
“From Gaea? Really?”
“Jip.” He shared the description with them.
“Damn that’s totally OP.”
"Overpowered,” Joe replied to the questionable look Sher gave him.
“If there is anything that you see and you like while we clear the Dungeon, shout and I will see if I can inventory it, like that box of steel balls that I gave you Sher. This first part looks like a workshop and I need a workbench, I'm going to try and loot one. So just shout out if you see anything you like.”
They moved into the workshop space and hid behind the workbench.
The first group of monsters that they saw were three golems that looked like they came out of a steampunk era, there was a small one that was zipping around on two wheels with blades for hands.
Another one looked like a giant ball with spikes here and there on its body with four short thick legs, it looked like a walking WWII sea mine, the thing that was worrying about it was the bolts of electricity that were arching between the spikes.
The last one looked like the Iron Giant but human-sized and armed with a shield and spiked mace.
After observing the monsters for a while Louie came up with a plan and turned to Sher.
“Sher, how brave are you? Don’t get me wrong, I'm just asking because we need somebody to get Zippy’s attention, somebody that looks vulnerable. I was thinking that you can stand against the back wall and shoot Zippy. I will be over there behind that locker and Joe will hide here behind the workbench."
"The moment it rushes at you, Joe will sideswipe it with his shield and go to town on it with his axe. Zippy looks like it is more built like a rogue than a damage dealer. Joe, will you be able to hold the big tanky one with the shield and mace, till I can come and help? I will try and take out sparky the wizard over there and then come help smash the big one.”
Sher looked scared but agreed. She got up and moved towards the back wall as Louie sneaked away to go and hide behind one of the lockers.
Then everybody was in place.
It was showtime.
Sher equipped the slingshot, loaded it with one of the balls, pulled back, took aim, took a deep breath to steady her nerves and released at the same time as she exhaled.
They were shocked as the ball penetrated the back of Zippy’s head and out the front tearing away half its face.
It roared as it unsteadily spun around.
Bolstered by the damage that she dealt, she steadily took aimed again as it rushed at her.
The next shot punched through its chest.
They looked on in shock as it hit the ground and slit towards Sher, stopping right in front of Joe.
Joe quickly reached out and pulled it behind the workbench and turned it over, he saw that the ball has punched through its flimsy chest piece and destroyed its Core.
He indicated to Sher that she should try and hit the tank. She nodded and aimed for its head, the big guy was slow but not stupid and covered its face as it stomped towards her.
Joe rushed it as it walked past him but only managed to stagger it before he could get a solid hit in on the shoulder of its shield arm.
It staggered upright and turned to focus on Joe as it brought its shield up, it quickly turned into a two-way tank fight.
Each blocking the others strikes while trying to get their own hit in.
Sher moved away from them and turned her attention to Sparky just as it released a lightning bolt at Joe, taking away nearly half its health.
Joe staggered but kept his shield up as he felt Sher touch his back.
A warm glow spread through him as her
When Sher saw Louie sprinting towards Sparky she started shooting at it as fast as she could to try and keep its attention on her, but she delt no damage as the balls kept on hitting a static field of what looked like sparks and just drop to the floor. She saw Louie stagger back as his mace hit the shield.
“Shit it’s not working it’s got some kind of shield.”
Got to look for a weak spot. She pulled back till the ball was against her cheek and concentrating on finding that sweet spot after a couple of seconds she felt her mana stir.
Huh, what’s this?
She felt the mana build and thought of it flowing into her hand and then into the ball.
The mana rushed through her and into the slingshot.
Startled she released the ball that flew with a bright streak and smashed into sparky, destroying its shield.
Louie saw the shield go down and threw two bottles of his Godly Nectar to smash against Sparky’s back.
Take that bitch, liquid and electricity don’t mix well.
Louie smashed down on the erratically twitching golem’s back while Sher’s next shot destroyed its head.
He rushed in to look for the Core when the spikes violently exploded from the Golem body, one pierced his left shoulder and hurled him into the lockers.
As he staggered to his feet he saw a spike with a small blue round crystal at the end sticking out of his shoulder he looked towards the golem just as another blue streak smashed into it and flipped it over on to its side, legs twitching.
Sher rushed towards him and started healing.
“Sorry,” she ripped the spike from his shoulder.
He screamed before the pain went away and he nodded at her and pointed at Sparky.
“Thanks, Can you keep an eye on that thing, if it moves shoot it again.” She nodded and he rushed over to help Joe.
He silently sprinted up behind the tank golem and with a jump and swing planted his mace between the shoulder blades.
It dropped its shield as it fell to its knees and Joe, not missing the opportunity, buried his axe in the back of its head nearly cleaving it in two.
He tore out his axe and with an underhanded swing smashed the back of it into what’s left of its face, hurling it over onto its back, where he and Louie smashed it a couple of times till it practically fell apart.
Louie shouted at Joe and pointed at the golem’s wrist just above the hand that was clutching the mace.
“Here”
Joe brought his axe down twice on the wrist before severing the hand.
He then reached down and removed the exposed Core.
They looked around for any more monsters, before moving towards the still twitching Sparky.
“Fucking lightning Golem.”
They examined it and found the core behind a metal plate just below where its head should be.
They removed it and suddenly they were flooded with notifications.

One person in a dungeon party can be designated as a pack mule he /she /it will receive all the loot, except the coin, to carry for the party.
Lewis (Louie) Poren
Sheralee (Sher) Van De Merve
Joseph (Joe) Wilemse
"Guys I got a BB asking to choose a designated pack mule, it’s a person that would carry all the loot for the party, but only the Loot, each person will still receive their own coin.”
“Can you do that for now? But I can see that becoming a problem in future Dungeon parties.”
Louie agreed with Sher while Joe held up his hand.
“I saw something in the vendor. Let's first clean up here then I will explain.”
Louie agreed.
“Joe, can we in the future also try and separate the golems from its weapons and whatever armour, like shields before we remove the Cores? Then we can inventory the weapons and stuff before we loot the body because I think that if we just loot the bodies then the weapons will also disappear, and there is a lot of fighting-fit outside the dungeon that can use some weapons to defend the rest of the people.”
They both nodded.
Louie looked at Sher. “Damn Sher, that was some fancy shooting, and what the hell was that blue streaks?”
They laughed as he lightly tapped her on the shoulder.
She shrugged. “I was always good with a slingshot and this one is much more powerful than my old one and also that rogue seemed to be made from tinfoil. I got a skill that let me power up a shot with mana, dealing extra explosive power. It’s called
“Nice.” Joe chuckled. “I also unlocked
“Me too.” Squealed Sher, before she giggled and blushed.
“Ok let’s clean up, then loot, then stats, then the next. Rinse and repeat.”
They agreed. So Louie started inventorying all the loose golem parts and weapons.
He made sure to pick up all the mage spikes that they could find and then he moved on to the workbench and everything that look handy, he opened a couple of lockers and when he found one full of gears and parts he took the whole locker and one or two empty ones as well.
Joe also found another two boxes with ball bearing balls that he gave to Sher.
Sher looked at the balls. “Hey, guys can we keep an eye out for parts that we can turn into slingshots? I’m sure some of the guys or girls outside will be happy to have a ranged weapon.”
“Good idea Sher, if we can find parts, I'm sure a lot of people had slingshots when they were kids.”
They turned towards the Golems and Louie looted them.
Loot Received 30S halves, 9G Rounds each
3 bags of tricks: bags with odds and ends
6 Iron bars: six plain iron bars
6 Golem piece: six pieces of the killed Golems.
"Ok, it looks like for every golem killed we will receive per party, 2 metal bars and two random Golem parts and the Coin, of course, we each get 10Silver halves and 3Gold Rounds per Golem, just what the hell are a bag of tricks?"
They looked through the bags and it is what the description says, it is a bag filled with odds and ends.
They found it odd and just wrote it off as just another strange thing.
Joe took out the Tablet. “I saw this at the vendor, but I thought it was useless as it was labelled Pack mule panniers, its two containers with limitless spatial capacity, but it can only be used while inside or within ten meters of the entrance of a Dungeon. If it leaves the ten meters radius all the contents will be emptied out of the panniers and the spatial ability will become inactive. The panniers can then be stored within an inventory, but the bloody thing cost 40G.”
They cringed at the price but after Sher thought for a while she spoke up.
“I will buy a set once we are finished with the Dungeon, I can lease it out to the next Dungeon teams till they can get their own. It will come in handy if the team put up a stall in front of the Dungeon and collected all the loot and stuff that the people wanted to sell at the vendor.”
She pointed at Joe.
“I heard you mumble last night, that the tablet can scan an item and give an estimated cost of what the vendor will give if it’s sold in the dungeon, they can keep a record and when the team clear the dungeon, the people can come and collect their money or vender bought stuff.”
They looked impressed. “Damn that’s a brilliant idea, Sher.”
"Ok that will work, we can see about that when we are finished with the dungeon. You guys should do your stats before we tackle the next set of monsters. This fight could have gone very wrong, luckily you unlocked that skill, Sher and you Joe, you kept your wits about you when you got hit by the lightning. If we can find another golem like Zippy, I would like its wheels before we kill it or any golem that has rubber or wheels on it. Luckily you still got your military boots with the rubber soles so that negated a lot of the lightning bolt's sting. If I can get rubber then I might be able to rubberize the inside of your shield.”
They nodded.
Joe spoke first. “I got three options for a class, its Reaver, Barbarian, and Gallowglass which are the same as the skill I got.”
“What information do you get if you right-click on the class?”
Joe just shook his head. “Nothing but if I click on Gallowglass in my skills, I get the info that it’s an elite axe warrior skill.”
“Ok, Do you intend to keep using just your axe?” when Joe indicated yes. “then I think you should go with gallowglass because if I remember correctly, the class Barbarian is prone to rage and berserk, and they usually don’t wear a lot of armour and like pain.”
Joe shuddered. “Jip, not a big fan of pain, and Reaver sounds more like somebody that revels in darkness, something like a Viking with a necromantic power, so I'm going to choose Gallowglass.”
He zoned out for a moment. “Nice, I took it and now I got info on the class.”
Gallowglass The Gallowglasses were a class of elite mercenary Norse-Gaelic clans from Ireland that were gifted with both axe and sword, they served primarily as bodyguards.
Louie slapped him on his shoulder.
“Damn nice, you already got the shield, now I must just make you some armour.”
They looked at Sher.
“I got the options of Cleric, Paladin or Druid, I don’t know these games you guys are talking about, but Cleric sound like a priest, and priests are usually, turn the other cheek, type of people. I like the slingshot and I never had much faith in religions, so that’s out, I don’t know what Paladins and Druids are.”
Louie indicated that Joe should explain.
“Well, all three have healing abilities. I think the big differences between them are that a Cleric are more a priestly type of healer and the Paladin are more of the Godly Warrior type of healer."
"He or she usually stands more in the front row taking on the enemies from behind a shield or big sword or axes, they usually get holy spells and later on they are even known to have a resurrection spell to bring people back to life soon after they die in combat.”
He saw Sher’s eyes grow big as she heard about the resurrection spell.
“But that is only in games, I don’t know if it will be so in real life, I don’t think so. Then the Druid is a damage dealer, like u and your slingshot.”
He smiled at her.
“They are more nature’s warriors, they have nature spells, like
She smiled.
“I will choose a Druid.”
