The New Roommates

The New Roommates

It’s a Friday. Everyone is at the lunch table at the Asphalt Café except for Tori.

“I’m really happy about you dating my sister!” Trina hugs Jade.

“I’ll give you three more seconds. One, two, three.”

Trina releases her hold of Jade. “That’s not gonna stop me from smiling!”

“Yay! Jade’s nicer! I want a hug!” Cat hugs Jade.

“One, two, three. Now stop.”

“Worth it!” Cat says.

Tori comes in. “I’m so tired!” She sits by Jade.

“I know, Baby. Sleep on my pillows.” Jade says in a soft voice. She kisses Tori on the forehead and holds her close. Tori’s face rests on Jade’s breasts.. Jade starts feeding Tori fries and everyone starts to laugh.

“What’s so funny? Is it because I’m tired?”

“Trina and I were only allowed three seconds and you got longer.”

“And seeing her kiss you like that is funny.” Trina says.

“And she called you ‘Baby’ in an adorable voice.” Robbie said.

Sinjin sneaks up on Tori and Jade hugging. “Can I have a turn, Jade?”

“NO!”

“One day.” He walks away.

Mabel walks by. “I’m so glad I got another couple to form!”

“Take a picture. It’ll last longer. I mean that. I want more followers for Tori and me.”

“Why are you tired?” Trina asks.

“I wanted to do something for Jade, so I decided to help get Clowns Don’t Bounce to happen. She never got it to go because of the Prome situation that Sikowitz ruined.”

“You didn’t have to.”

“I did.”

“I love you for that. Thank you, Tori.” Jade kisses Tori on the lips. Mabel takes a photo.

“Posted and tagged!”

“Thank you, Mabel.”

“I had to get Sikowitz to hear me out about letting your play happen. When we got everything done, I had to pass out fliers and do all sorts of stuff. I just want Jade to be happy. She deserved to have it run. So come to her play. Cat kept the fake blood. I know where to find it, Jade. I’m about to pass out more fliers. I love you.”

“I love you too, but you need to stay. Eat. I’ll feed you if you’re tired.”

“Please?”

“Okay, Baby.” Jade takes a spoonful of Tori’s food and feeds her. “Camera.”

Mabel takes another photo.

“Aw!” Everyone else says.

Jade looks at Mabel’s phone. “Yes. Good photos. Post them and tag us.”

“Will do! I just love love! Thank you for being a couple!”

“Thank you for pairing us together. Tori and I have never been better.”

“I also loved how you were posting hourly pictures of you two making out yesterday!” Mabel walks away.

“Is that why you barged in on our choir class to kiss Tori?” Robbie asks.

“Yes. It helped us gain followers.”

“Did we forget what Sinjin told us about how we shouldn’t care about that?” Tori asks.

“But you’re so pretty, Tori! I just wanted people to know I’m in love with a pretty girl like you!” Jade says in a soft voice. She then gives Tori a kiss.

Tori giggles.

“Works like a charm.” Jade says.

Time passes and school ends. Hours after the end of the school day, everyone is backstage. Tori and Jade enter through the backstage.

“Remind me what I need again?”

“Cat and I made sure everything is in the theater, Jade.”

“Clown costumes?”

“Got them, Jade.”

“Fake blood?”

“Got it. And Cat made sure it wasn’t the real blood.”

“I guess I’m good on everything.”

“Oh! Wait! I forgot something!”

“Oh no! What‽”

Tori kisses Jade on both cheeks. Jade smiles and does the same. Then, they do small kiss on the lips, then an open mouthed kiss with a hug.

“Thanks, Tori.”

“Everything is set up. We are good to go.” Tori says.

Cat walks up to Jade. “Tori made sure I didn’t get real blood.”

“Good.” Tori says.

Real blood would’ve been cool, but Tori wouldn’t allow it. I love her anyway. She makes me feel good.

“Your play will be great!” Trina hugs Jade.

“My turn!” Cat gets in on the hug.

“Group hug!” Tori joins in on the hug.

André, Beck, and Robbie walk in.

“Let them join!” Cat says.

“Bring it in, guys!” Jade says.

They all join in on the hug.

“Okay. I have to present the play. Then, Tori and I can do our Friday night shenanigans.”

Everyone else walks to their seats and Jade peaks out through the curtains.

“Good evening, everyone! My name is Jade West and you all will watch my play called Clowns Don’t Bounce tonight. You will be scared.”

As the play goes on, the audience watches in horror throughout the play. The play ends with a clown falling without a parachute and then there’s a splat of fake blood.

“That was something.” Trina says.

“I now see why clowns don’t bounce.” André said.

“I’m glad we’re not clowns.” Beck says.

“That reminds me of that trip to see Mona Patterson.” Cat says

“Don’t remind me, Cat. In my world, clowns don’t survive.” Jade turns to Tori. “Thank you so much, Tori.” They hug.

“Don’t kiss me yet.” Tori whispers.

David and Holly come by.

“Tori, why did you want your father and me to come see Jade’s play?”

“We thought you hated her. Also, there were no lines.”

Trina tenses up.

“Well, Jade and I aren’t arguing anymore. I thought it would be nice for you two to see her do something creative. I thought it could show you two that she’s a better person since I am a forgiving person. I hope that makes sense.” Please don’t question this!

Holly and David look at Tori and shrug. “Okay.” They say.

Trina, Tori, and Jade exhale.

“That was an interesting play, Jade.” David says.

“Yeah. Those clowns didn’t bounce.” Holly says.

“Your mother and I are going on a date, girls.”

“Is it okay if I take Tori and Trina home?”

“Yeah, Mom. You and Dad have the car. I can’t drive it when you two have it.”

“Okay.” Holly says.

“I’m sure Trina would hurt you if you did anything wrong.” David says.

“I’m staying to help Jade with the set.” Tori says..

“I’m going to try to get those clowns out of my head.” Trina says.

“Is it the clowns speaking to me? Or is Jade nicer to Tori?” Holly asks. They leave to go on their date.

“Beck’s gonna take us to Tori’s house to talk about Jade’s new play.” André says.

“I actually enjoyed the play, Jade.” Robbie says.

“Thank you. That was nice of you to say, Robbie.”

“I like this new Jade.” Beck says.

“Don’t push it!” Jade responds.

“Jade, chill. It was a joke.” André says. “We’re out.”

“Take my house key.” Tori gives André her key.

“Bye!” Cat gives Jade a hug. “I did it again!”

After cleaning the set, it’s just Tori, Trina, and Jade left.

“I can’t thank you enough, Tori!” Jade and Tori kiss. “Trina, I also appreciate your help.”

“I’m going to check on everything backstage.” Tori says. She leaves.

“I’ll help.” Trina follows Tori.

Jade turns around to leave. When she’s in the hallway she is shocked to see her parents, stepparents, and brother.

“You all came to watch?”

“You invited us.” Max says.

“Hello, Jade.” Roy says.

Jade freezes and then she runs back to the theater. She stops when she sees Tori.

“Tori, we need to leave and go somewhere!”

“I bet I know what that means!” She leans in to try to kiss Jade, but Jade stops Tori with her hand. “No kisses?”

“No Tori. We have a problem!”

“What? Is it the stage?”

“I’m your girlfriend!”

“That’s not a problem for me!” Tori tries to kiss her again and Jade stops her. “Come on! I want to kiss you!”

“This is a first.” Trina says.

“No. My parents are here and we’re a couple! They can’t know!”

“Shit!”

“What do we do?”

“Okay. Let’s regain our composure. Deep breaths. I got this.”

“Tori’s good at these things.” Trina says.

Jade’s parents and brother show up.

“Ah! Tori!” Roy says. “And this looks like your sister!”

“Trina!” They shake hands. “I’m also Jade’s friend.”

“Hi, Tori! Hi, Trina!” Max says.

“Hi, Max! Hello Jade’s parents.” Trina says.

“You’re allowed to call me Sapphire.”

“And I’m Ruby.”

“And I’m Steven.”

“I’m still Mr. West.”

“He’s Roy.” Sapphire says.

“Mr. West.” Roy says.

“Nice to meet you all!”

“Likewise.” Roy says.

Trina pulls Jade aside. “Your dad is tense.”

“Why didn’t the clowns bounce, Jade?” Max asks.

“I wrote for them to die, Max! I thought it would be really silly!” Then she playfully ruffles his hair.

“That was a great play! I really love your ability to put out things that you love, Jade.” Sapphire says.

“Thanks, Mom. I’m working on another.”

“That was a … very interesting play, Jade.” Ruby says.

“Yeah. We enjoyed it too. Clowns definitely don’t bounce, contrary to what others may think.” Steven says.

“I’m glad you can do what you do. Tori has definitely been able to help you blossom. Tori, a moment?” Roy takes Tori aside. “Jade has become happier lately and we all love that. Whatever you’re doing, keep it up.”

“Will do!”

“And she hasn’t been forcing anything on you? Do you remember what I mentioned last time?”

“We just became better friends. We’re closer now.” Skin-to-skin close!

“Okay. She definitely needs you.”

“We need each other more than you think, Mr. West.” I need her in her car after this!

“Bye.” Max hugs Jade.

“Thank you so much, Tori. Their relationship is so much better! Max used to be so afraid of her. Now they hug!”

“Thanks … Sapphire.”

“You can call me that. I’m no West.”

“Her mother and I couldn’t be happier!” Steven says.

“Even at our place, Jade and Max are happy together!” Ruby says.

“I’m going to her house with our friends to talk about the other play.” Jade says.

“Okay. Drive home safely, Jade.” Sapphire says. The rest of Jade’s parents leave with Max.

“See? I can handle this, Jade.”

“I’m just scared, Tori.”

“Don’t worry. I’m always going to help you. You’re stuck with me. That’s the deal.”

“What about my dad?”

“Wait. This isn’t the Jade West I know. Isn’t this the same Jade West that got a tattoo to piss off her parents? Isn’t this the same Jade West that says what she wants without fear?”

Jade laughs.

“Ha! I made you laugh and smile!”

“You’re bolder than you think. I’m actually not as brave as you. I’m just mean.”

“I don’t care. You are amazing!”

“Thanks, Tori.”

“I just have one more question. Who’s your girl?”

“You are.” Jade says quietly.

“I can’t hear you! Who’s your girl‽”

Jade giggles “You’re my girl!”

“Now give Tori a squeeze!”

“How is it that you can be this corny and cute at the same time?” She says while hugging Tori.

“She’s contagious.” Trina says.

“Now give Tori a kiss!” She whispers in Jade’s ear.

“You’re lucky this is my favorite part!” She whispers back to Tori’s ear.

Jade and Tori start kissing. They don’t stop kissing.

Max walks in. “Jade, I forgot to …” He stops and Jade’s parents come back and witness them kissing.

Trina turns around and sees Max. “Please tell me your parents aren’t here!”

“They were behind me.” Max says.

“Jade, Tori, I think you two should stop.”

“Trina, you see Tori and me kiss all the time.” They continue kissing.

“I really think you two should stop.” Trina says.

“Jade, Tori, what’s going on‽” Roy yells.

The three girls scream.

“Mr. West—“

“Tori, I’m so sorry. I told you this could happen.” Roy says.

“Leave them alone, Roy!” Sapphire says.

“This is what bringing her to this type of school does, Sapphire!”

“Stop!” Max yells.

“Why do you see this as a big deal, Roy‽ They just love each other!” Steven says.

“You may be Sapphire’s new husband, but that’s my daughter, Steven.”

“Roy, this is one of the reasons why we divorced! There’s nothing wrong with Jade. I’m happy for them.”

“You enabled this by letting her go to this school, Sapphire!”

“Stop!” Max yells again.

“Honey, Sapphire has a point. They love each other.”

“You should be on my side, Ruby. You’re my current wife. Jade, Max, we’re going. I’ll find a suitable punishment for you later, Jade!”

“You’ve done enough. I’m taking them with Steven.” Sapphire says.

“STOP IT! STOP FIGHTING!” Max yells.

“I’m taking Jade and having this discussion with her about her behavior!”

“NO!” Jade yells.

“NO‽” Roy asks.

“NO!” Jade yells back.

It gets quiet.

“Well, what are you two? Gay?” Roy asks.

“Yes!” Jade says.

“Well technically—“

“Don’t worry. I can handle this, Tori.” She then holds her and kisses her forehead. She turns to Roy. “You’re right, Dad. Your worst nightmare has come true. Not only am I not the daughter you wanted, but I’m also gay!”

“Gay is a strong word!” Tori says.

“That means we’re strong women!” Jade says.

“Um, well, I think technically bisexual or biromantic. Maybe lesbian?” Tori says. Why am I rambling‽

“Yeah! We’re a bunch of lesbian thespians!” Jade then faces Tori and smiles. “And I got a bad case of lovin’ Tori!”

Tori smiles back. “And I’m in love with Jade.” They hold hands.

Everyone except Roy smiles.

“Oh! You had a crush on her!”

“Yeah. I did and I still do.” Jade hugs Max.

“I think we still like boys Mr. West!”

“But we love each other right now!” Jade holds onto Tori.

“What’s gay, bi, and lesbian?” Max asks.

“Well, gay is when two boys love each other or two girls love each other. Lesbian is the same as gay but specifically when two girls love each other. Bi is when a boy likes a boy and a girl or a girl likes a boy and a girl.” Tori says.

“And now Tori’s corrupting Max!”

“Sorry!” Tori says.

“No. You were being educational.” Jade says.

“Roy, calm down.” Ruby says.

“What if he does end up a flaming boy fucker‽ What will you do about it, Dad‽”

“Jade, please stop.” Steven and Sapphire say.

“He’s not a teenager yet and you’re using harsh words.” Ruby says.

“Maybe one day he’ll be the ring bearer to our wedding.” Jade says.

“Tori, you really let her change you?” Roy says.

“Sorry!“

“No! Don’t apologize, Tori.” She hugs her and gives her a kiss on the forehead. Then she turns to her dad. “She changed me.”

“How do you two sleep at night knowing you live this life?” Roy asks.

“Sometimes we sleep naked with her face in my boobs while we hold each other’s asses! Other times we sleep naked while I hold her boobs from behind! Alternatively, she’s behind me and grabbing my boobs!”

“Hypothetically, if Jade and I did sleep like that, I prefer the prior two. Just hypothetically! It’s not like it happened!”

“It happened!”

“Jade’s right.” Tori looks down.

“We fuck! A lot! Your house and Mom’s house! Naked! We also do it in her bed!”

“How did this happen?” Roy asks.

“Who knows? I got the gay gene from someone! Maybe you’re gay! Maybe it’s Mom!”

Sapphire glances at Ruby. You know, Ruby looks … Wait! No! Don’t focus on the strawberry blonde with red accents and … Wait! Did I give my daughter a gay gene‽ And why is Ruby so cute all of a sudden‽

“Please dial down the vulgarity, Jade. I know he’s making you mad and all, but not in front of Max.” Steven says.

“If it makes you feel better, Jade and I also wear pajamas when we have our nap dates.”

“But it’s better when we’re naked!”

“She’s right.” Tori looks down.

Damn! Now that I see it, Ruby does have a similar body to Tori, except slightly with a bigger butt and slightly bigger breasts. And Jade has my figure! No! Stop! This is about them!

Why is Sapphire looking at me‽

“How did you two show love to each other?” Max asks.

Jade has an evil smirk. “Good question, Max.” She pats his head. “Tori made me a better person. In fact, I’ll show you all. You all already know I’m much happier and a better sister to Max, but I’m also a better lover too.”

“Where’s this going Jade?” Tori asks.

“Sometimes, we hug each other like this!” Jade forcefully grabs Tori’s butt with one hand and forces Tori’s face onto her breasts.

“Woah! I wasn’t prepared for that, but those feel nice on my face! You’re so warm! Those D cups are like warm pillows!” Tori says

Ruby glances at Sapphire. D cups. Stop it, Ruby! Focus. Sapphire. What‽

“Tori doesn’t have the best confidence in her cup size. Sometimes when she needs a confidence boost, she needs to be touched like this!” She gets behind Tori and grabs her breasts.

“Wow, Jade! Um, you’re grabbing my boobs and I can’t deny that I feel better!” Tori starts to blush. “I’m not as big as her or my sister. I’m even smaller than my mom. Jade makes me feel better about myself.” She says to the moms.

“Well, that’s oddly sweet! If I had a woman like Jade, I’d want that if I were you, Tori.” Ruby says. Wait. What did I just say?

“I always try to make sure she’s a good person. I’d want someone to feel good.” Now it sounds like I want to fondle Ruby!

Jade goes backstage to push a couch on center stage. “Sometimes, when she’s tired, I let her sleep on my lap like this!”

Jade sits down on the couch with her legs open and moves Tori’s head on her lap near her crotch.

“Oh! Wow! I wasn’t ready for that, but that feels good! Why are you always so warm?”

Jade and Tori now get up. “And sometimes, I kiss her like this!”

“Kiss me like how?”

“Like this!” Jade grabs Tori by the face and kisses her. Jade’s hands go to Tori’s waist and then she grabs Tori’s butt.

Okay! She’s grabbing my ass!

She then tackles Tori down onto the couch on the stage and continues to kiss her. Tori then holds on to Jade. Jade starts grinding for another ten seconds while kissing Tori.

Jade, please don’t! But please do! Jade! Oh! Yes! Right there!

Then, Jade picks Tori up from the couch and kisses her while grabbing her butt and rubbing her hands all over it for another ten seconds. Tori holds onto her again.

Fuck!

Jade then touches Tori’s neck and slips her hand down slowly until she grabs one of Tori’s breasts. Then she does the same with the other hand.

Yes, Jade!

She finally lets her go.

“Come on, Tori! I’m taking you home! Max, you’re name’s Jasper now and you’re coming with me!”

“Cool! We can both have gem names!”

Jade turns to Roy. “DON’T TALK TO ME OR MY SON EVER AGAIN!” She grabs Jasper’s hand and storms off.

“Jade, you’re his sister!” Roy says.

“SHUT UP!”

Tori gets up and touches her lips. “Wow! We’ve kissed many times, but Jade hasn’t kissed me like that before!” She touches her lips again and then touches her pants. “And now I need to go home and change!”

Roy gets angry.

“Um … thank you for … making Jade, Sapphire. We did have a lot of … sexual acts in her room in your house, her room in Ruby’s house, and my room.”

“I’m glad Jade’s nice to you.” Sapphire says.

“Um … I’m also glad Jade is nice to you.” Ruby says.

“Jade’s a better person because of you.” Steven says.

“Jade’s dads, Jade’s moms, it’s nice to see you all again.” She turns to Roy. “I know this might not be the right time for you to hear this, but Jade is such a good kisser! I mean really good! It’s like she got a kissing degree before she started school at Hollywood Arts!”

Roy glares.

Tori turns Sapphire. “Is this genetic or—”

“TORI, GET OVER HERE SO I CAN FUCK YOU!”

“I’m coming!”

“YOU BETTER CUM!”

Tori runs after Jade.

“I guess I’ll follow my sister.” Trina runs after them.

“This is why we got divorced, Roy. You never appreciated her.”

“We’re finding out where she took them.” Roy leaves.

“I’ll start the car.” Steven leaves.

Ruby and Sapphire look at each other.

“So, Jade did that.” Ruby says.

“Yeah.”

“Yep.”

“You know what’s funny? Tori reminds me of you, Ruby.”

“Jade reminds me of you, Sapphire.”

They get silent.

“Hypothetically, I’d want someone to make me feel better about my breasts. I used to feel envious.”

“They’re not that small, Ruby. If I held them, they’d fit in my hand the way Tori’s would for Jade’s hand—I mean … They’re fine the way they are. Also, they’re bigger than Tori’s. You’re just slightly smaller than me.”

“Um … Thank you. How do you know?”

“They’re just … noticeable.” Fuck!

“Yours are big.”

“Jade got hers from me.”

They quietly stare at each other.

Do I want Sapphire to fondle me?

Do I want to fuck Ruby? Great. I sound like Jade. “I like your hair, Ruby.”

“Somewhere in the line, there are redheads and blondes on my mom’s side. That’s why I’m named Ruby. I’m strawberry blonde with some redhead accents.”

“My eyes are blue. That’s why I’m named Sapphire. I like gems. I really like red ones.”

“What?”

“That’s why Jade’s Jade and Maxwell’s middle name is Jasper! Well, I wanted Jasper, but Roy thought it wouldn’t be that common, so Maxwell was a good first name.” I really like red ones‽ Really‽ I just said that‽

“You should’ve kept that idea. Especially since that’s what he wants to go by.”

“Thank you.”

They walk away.

Was I flirting with Sapphire‽ No! Her blue … delightfully blue eyes … Stop!

Was I flirting with Ruby‽ Damn that hair and those amber eyes! Dammit! I did give Jade her sexuality!

Later that night, everyone else is at the Vega house minus the parents. Jade, Tori, Trina, and Max enter the house.

“This is my younger brother. Tori and I have something to do in her room.”

“Jade?”

“Tori, I’m fine. I just need to release my stress all over your body. My dad can piss off! If he thinks he can tell us we shouldn’t love each other, then I’ll show him!” Jade grabs Tori’s hand and they walk to her room. Jade starts to strip.

“Wow! That’s fast! Should I—“

Jade removes Tori’s clothes.

“Um … okay!”

Jade slams the door. Seconds later, muffled sounds and bed shaking can be heard.

This is the fastest she’s done this to me!

“Hi, Cat. Hi, Beck.”

“Hi, Max.” They say.

He turns to the others. “I’m Max.”

“Trina. You met me earlier. I’m Tori’s sister.”

“Robbie.”

“André.”

“I’m sorry that you dated Jade, Beck.”

“She’s happier with Tori. We’re happy that Jade’s happy.”

Everyone else is silent as the bed shaking and moaning is still heard.

“My middle name is Jasper. Jade and I have gemstone names. You should call me that because Jade likes it. We’re gem buddies. I don’t care what you call me.”

“Cool.” They say.

The noises continue.

“My mom’s name is Sapphire and my stepmom’s name is Ruby.”

“What a coincidence.” They say.

“My dad’s Roy and my stepdad is Steven.”

“Cool.” They say.

“What are they doing upstairs in Tori’s room?”

“They’re playing a game!” Everyone blurts out.

The bed squeaking, muffled words. and distant moaning continue. Minutes pass and the squeaking stops for a while and the others let out a sigh of relief. Then the squeaking, muffled words, and moaning of the two girls grows a little faster.

“Is that what people in love do?”

“Yeah.” They all say in unison.

“Robbie, Cat, you two are dating. Do you two do that?”

“Not yet.” They say.

“Are you sure Jade’s not killing her?”

“Tori’s fine.” Everyone says.

“Beck, did you do that with Jade when you two were in love?”

“Possibly.” Beck says.

The only sounds upstairs are moaning, muffled words, bed squeaking while everyone downstairs eats snacks and watches the television.

“So what’s Hollywood Arts like?”

“It’s fun.” Everyone says in unison.

“I’m 12. I’m in middle school.”

“That’s cool.” They say

The squeaking goes on a while longer and then stops. Everyone sighs again. Then it comes back faster. This time, only Tori’s moans and words are heard.

“What game are they playing?”

Cat: Tag!

Robbie: Pirates!

Beck: Wrestling!

Trina: The floor is lava!

André: Tickle fighting!

“Butternut!” Tori opens the door. She takes a few gulps from a sports drink bottle and takes a few breaths. “Okay. I got my electrolytes. Time in.” She then gets pulled back in by Jade. Then the sound of the bed shaking gets faster. “¡Dame mas dura! ¡Fóllame más fuerte, Jade!”

“I hear Spanish.”

“Yeah.” They say.

“What did Tori say, Trina?”

“That’s a good question.” She says.

“Do you know Spanish?”

“I do.”

“So what did she say in English?”

“Let’s just say she wants something.”

“Are they studying?”

“Sure.” They say.

After the show on the television ends, the noise upstairs stops.

“Is the game over?” Jasper asks.

“I hope.” They all say.

After a few minutes, Jade exits Tori’s room and goes downstairs with a towel on her neck and the drink Tori had earlier.

“How was the game, Jade?” Jasper asks.

“I broke my record.” Jade says.

Cat laughs, then looks at Jasper and clears her throat. “I’m a mature woman.”

“She’ll be down soon.”

Tori gets out of her room ten minutes later.

“How was the game, Tori? I heard a lot of screaming.”

“We didn’t play like that before!” Tori says with a blush and a smile. She goes to the kitchen.

“Why are there a bunch of kiss marks on your face? Was it a love game because you two are dating?”

“We, uh, played a game where Jade and I…needed to feel better.” She tears off some paper towels and dampens them to wipe her face.

“I marked my territory and she loved it.” Jade says.

“Terri-Tori” Cat says with a small laugh. “Wait. No. I’m mature. I have to set an example for you because you’re 12.”

“You said something in Spanish.”

“I shouldn’t repeat it.” Tori says.

"Now back to business. I have a play about coming out. Trina and Cat, you two are the girls in love for my play. If you two aren't comfortable, I'll get two girls who are interested."

“Get an actual couple.” Trina says.

"Fine. I need three boys and three girls to be parents to resemble mine and Tori's. I also need some bullies. Here are the lines in case anyone wants to be them. I'll find some other people if I need to change things. One of the girls has to die and the other kisses her back to life. Then, there's a moral to the story."

“Why do you two have messy hair?” Jasper asks.

“Uh … The game was really wild!” Tori says.

“Are you okay, Tori?” Cat asks.

“Yeah. We have a safe word. I yelled ‘butternut’ earlier.”

“What’s a safe word?”

“Nothing!” Tori says.

“Is there nothing to say?” Jade asks.

“Are you okay, Jade?” Cat asks.

“Yes, Cat. If anyone else has the same question, don’t ask.”

“Jade, I really think we need to find out how I’m going to tell my parents.”

“Okay. Fine. Does anyone have an idea?”

“I do! I’ll go to my room real quick!” Trina goes to her room and comes back with a fake moustache on.

“Where did you get a fake moustache? Wait. Why am I asking that? Trina’s my crazy sister.”

“Alright. Ready to practice?” Trina asks.

“Yes.” Jade and Tori say.

“Pretend I’m Mom and Dad.” Trina says.

Tori takes a deep breath. “Mom, Dad, Jade is my girlfriend.”

“Yes. Tori is my girlfriend.”

“How could you‽” She then takes the fake moustache off to impersonate her mom. “Not our daughter!” She puts the moustache back on. “Is this what you want your mother to look like‽” She takes it off. “¡Dios mío! ¡No me hija! ⸘Por qué está enamorada de una chica‽” She puts it back on. “¡No puedo creer que tenga una hija lesbiana! ¡No toleraré esto!”

“This isn’t a telenovela, Trina!” Tori yells.

“Okay! But seriously, they’re not going to be that upset. I think. I hope. Maybe.”

“That’s not helping, Trina!” Tori says.

“Don’t let Dad stop us from hanging out with her, Jade!”

David and Holly enter the house.

“What’s going on?” Holly asks.

“And why is Trina wearing a moustache?” David asks.

“We’re going over lines for Jade’s play.” Tori says.

“Also, congratulations. It’s a boy and a girl. We’ll be staying here. This is Max, my younger brother; except he’s going by Jasper because he’s my son now and we have gem names.”

Tori and Trina look at their parents.

“I never had a son before!” David goes up to him.

“Hello, everyone.” Holly says.

“Can I help you with your homework? We can go to a park one of these days.” David asks.

“Jade’s friends helped me. Jade, can we? Tomorrow?”

“Whatever. Just remind him where you go to school and what time to get you, Jasper.” She replies

David and Jasper high five. “I’ll pick you up after school! Wait. What do we call you?”

“Whatever you want!”

“Okay, Son!”

“Can I say it?” Holly asks.

“Sure, Mom!” Jasper says.

“Son!”

“Yay! We have new parents, Jade!”

“Alright. If no other questions, everyone can leave and practice their lines.”

Cat, Robbie, André, and Beck leave.

“Are you two friends now?” Holly asks.

“Yeah. Tori asked us to go to your play and now you’re in our house.” David says.

“Yeah. Jade became a good friend of mine.”

“Thank you for being a better person, Jade; but why are you two living here with us and how long will this be?” David asks.

“My dad disowned me and the other three parents are busy fighting with him. So now, it’s us in your house. Also, a bunny will be here as well.” She brings out her pet rabbit.

“What did you do?” Holly asks.

“She ki—“ Jade covers Jasper’s mouth.

“Huh?” The parents say.

“I ki… I kicked my dad. Yeah. He got me really angry and I kicked him because he doesn’t appreciate me going to Hollywood Arts and … other things. So I kicked him. Pow.” She does a kick in the air.

“Alright.” They say.

Jade whispers into Jasper’s ear. “Don’t do that again!”

“Uh … Tori and Trina helped me with my middle school homework.”

“You two raised good daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Vega.” Jade says.

“Where do you two want to sleep? We have a guest bedroom for two. It used to be a room for when our daughters were kids.” Holly says.

“I’ll sleep with her! No! I meant to say I’ll show Jade where I can take her to bed! Wait! No! What I meant to say is … um …“

“Tori and I will share a room. I don’t know if Jasper wants to be with a girl, and we don’t have another brother, so the logical thing to do is to let him have a room to himself.” Please take it.

“Okay. That makes sense.” David says.

Jade and Tori sigh.

“I’ll make more for dinner for everyone. David, can you help?”

“Holly, I can just order something.”

Holly pulls David into the kitchen.

“No. I want them to think I’m a good mom, David.”

“But you don’t normally cook.”

She gives him a look.

“Alright. Fine. ¡Cálmate, chica!”

⸘Qué me dijiste, David‽

“Nothing! Uh, Max … or Jasper?”

“Either’s fine.”

“We’re gem buds, so call him Jasper.”

“Let’s go to a park tomorrow!”

“Cool!”

“If this is what having a son is like, please come over more often!” David says.

“He is a cute boy. You boys have fun tomorrow!” Holly says.

“We will, Holly!”

It’s now dinner time.

“Jade, Max I mean, Jasper, how’s the food?” Holly asks.

“It’s really good!” They say.

“Wait. Really‽”

“Holly, don’t be silly!” David nervously laughs. “You make excellent dinners! How was everyone’s day? Jade, you go first.”

“Good. I really liked the fact that you both came to see my play.”

“I was glad to be of assistance for Jade’s play.” Trina says.

“I love Jade’s … play. Jade’s play. Yes.” Tori says.

“I had fun today at school! And you all can call me what you want.”

“That’s great!” The parents say.

“Jade’s writing another play. Maybe you two could come to that one as well. I’m helping her again.” Tori says.

“We’d love to. Jade, Max or Jasper, you two can come over for dinners more often. I don’t mind cooking again.”

“We could even order food next time. I can afford it with my salary as a cop.”

“We’d love to have you both around more. It’s like having a son that we wish we had and a daughter with a new flavor for the family. Jade, you’re being so much nicer to Tori and Trina. We really appreciate you.”

They finish their food. “Thank you.” Jade and Jasper say.

“I’ll get that for you two.” Holly says.

“Oh. Wait. How do we get them clothes and stuff for the bathroom in the morning, Holly?”

“We’ll buy some tonight. I guess we’ll treat them like they’re our children.”

Jade and Jasper start crying and head to different bedrooms. Jade in Tori’s and Jaspers in Trina’s.

“Was it the food? I tried to follow the recipe.”

“Mom, you’re fine. They aren’t used to having family meals or family time.” Tori says.

“Tori, you’ve been to her house. How was it?” Trina asks.

“Houses. Her parents are divorced and remarried. Jade has issues with her family. I never stayed long to find out. I know her dad doesn’t like her much. She talks about them badly on TheSlap. I don’t think she hates her other parents. Just her dad.”

“Maybe we can talk to their parents.” David suggests.

“We’re going to go check on them.” Tori says.

The girls go upstairs to see Jade and Jasper hugging and crying in the hallway between rooms. They join in.

“Jade, Max … or Jasper, we can talk to your parents.” David says

“Um. Actually, I think we’re going to go for a ride to clear our minds. I’ll drive.” Trina says.

“Be safe.” Holly says.

“Um … I have a question.”

“Yes, Jade?” Holly asks.

“Hypothetically speaking, if you two didn’t appreciate your daughters for what they do or didn’t accept them for who they were, what would you do to them?”

“Her father doesn’t appreciate the fine arts. He also doesn’t like … certain people.” Tori says.

“Goths?” David asks.

“Thespians?” Holly asks.

“Uh. Yeah. Both. Especially one that sounds like the second one.” Trina says.

“There’s no way we could hate our daughters for anything.” Holly says.

“Here.” David gives the four of them some money. “In case you need it.”

They all go downstairs and leave. David and Holly hug Tori and Trina and then Jade and Jasper. Trina starts the car and drives off.

“Damn! That’s rough! David, how many runaways do you get?”

“A lot. It’s scary.”

They sit on the couch.

“Have you noticed how close Tori and Jade were, David? They wanted to share a room together.”

“Do you really think Tori could be in love with Jade?”

“Well if she is I’m sure we—“

Then there’s a knock. David opens the door.

“And you are?”

“We’re Max and Jade’s parents.” Roy says. They invite themselves in.

“Please, come in.” Holly says sarcastically.

“I’m Roy. “

“I’m Ruby, his current wife. Steven’s ex-wife. I brought my dog.”

“I’m Sapphire. I’m Roy’s ex-wife and Steven’s current wife.”

“Steven. I’m Sapphire’s husband.”

“David.”

“Holly. Wait. You two traded spouses?”

“And how did you know where we live?”

“We heard Tori’s sister, Trina, yell about you being a cop when we were at the play when some weird boys were hitting on her. It made sense that we went to the police department to ask where you live.” Roy said.

“The girls and I use that whenever people bother us.”

“I’m going to have a talk with someone at work tomorrow about sharing addresses.”

“Jade ran away with our son.” Sapphire says.

“We know. We had dinner with them.” Holly answers

“Hear that, Roy? A family dinner.” Sapphire says.

“We can’t even get her to come down to eat with us.” Ruby says.

“You have a nice house.” Steven says.

“I’m going to get to the point here. They ran away because I caught Jade kissing Tori. They say they’re a couple.” Roy says

“I knew it! We were right!” Holly says.

“I knew those juvenile girls were Tori's type when she was young.” David says.

“See, they get me!” Roy says.

“Get you?”

“Yes, Holly. It’s wrong. That’s why you answered like that. Right?”

“No. David and I are happy!”

“But I wonder why Tori didn’t tell us.”

“Maybe because we laughed at her.”

“We did mess up.”

“Aren’t you bothered? That school probably ruined them. What if your other daughter ends up like them?”

“We’re not perfect parents, but we would still love Trina and Tori.” Holly says.

“We joked about it earlier this semester when they were in that play. We always sort of knew Tori had an interest in girls.” David says.

“Come on, David. You’re a police officer. I respect the police. You’re supposed to stand for law and order.”

“There’s nothing wrong with what they’re doing. It’s legal for gay couples to marry in California. At first, I was scared because of what Tori said Jade did to her in the past, but your daughter has clearly changed.”

“Get your husband, Holly.”

“No, Roy. He’s right. As a woman, I can see that your daughter is a wonderful girl deep down. I think I see why Jade is this way.”

“This is why we divorced, Roy.”

“Roy, I’m staying with Sapphire and Steven tonight. Enjoy being alone.”

“We have some leftovers from dinner. Please, eat. Maybe we can have a conversation about this over food. Also, please tell me how I did with the cooking.” Holly says

“Roy, Holly and I don’t like you; however, we think you should eat with us. Maybe you can see how we function as a family and how we love our children and your children.”

“You know what, I’m changing his name on his birth certificate to what I wanted. No more compromising Maxwell sounds dignified, but Jasper is a precious gemstone. And you just lost four of them!”

The girls and Jasper are in the parking lot of a Freezy Queen.

“What if they tell your mom and dad?” Jasper asks.

“Don’t worry. Tori and Jade are fine.”

“Are you sure Mom and Dad won’t get mad, Trina?”

“Don’t you remember when you had to introduce Jade for the play? They think you like both boys and girls. Or at least girls like Jade. Come to think of it, you definitely have a type.”

“But they know I almost killed her and how I’m an awful person.”

“We all forgave you.”

“Jade, I’m scared.” Tori says.

“Me too.” Jade kisses her.

“What’s to be scared of, Tori? Mom and Dad will laugh it off.”

“Yeah! Mom and Dad are probably gonna laugh at me and make me cry and then say something like ‘Tori, you’re so soft. We’ll order a pizza you baby!’ And then I’m gonna keep crying and … and …” Tori starts to cry.

“Hey. It’ll be okay.” Jade holds onto Tori. “That’s oddly specific. Trina, are you two okay at home?”

“Tori exaggerates a lot. It makes her cry because she gets stressed.”

Sapphire, Ruby, and Steven end up in Sapphire and Steven’s home.

“I’ll make dinner, girls.” Steven goes to the kitchen.

Sapphire walks upstairs. Ruby follows.

“I’m sorry about Roy. You two have a nice bedroom.

“I married him first. I should’ve apologized to you.”

“Is this what we get for coincidentally trading husbands.”

“At least your divorce wasn’t so bad. You and Owen are cool with each other. Yours was amicable. Roy just wasn’t that great of a father or husband and it caused Jade to end up this way. We fought a lot.”

“I just don’t get why he’s so upset about her being in love with a girl.”

“Well, he doesn’t care about Jade being in a fine arts school and he’s homophobic. That’s your answer.”

“I’m just so upset! Imagine if you and I were to kiss and he’d get upset about his wife kissing another woman.”

“Well. He would. Mainly because his new wife is kissing another person.”

“Wait! Did I just say that‽ I’m sorry, Sapphire!”

“No. Don’t be. I’m sorry you think bad about your breast size like Tori does. They’re fine. Bigger than hers. But maybe Jade had a conversation like that with Tori and that makes Tori feel good.”

They stare at each other.

“I like your eyes, Sapphire.”

“I like your hair, Ruby.”

They lean in. Steven opens the door and the two women scream.

“I wanted to ask you two—“

“We weren’t doing anything!” The two say.

“What did you two want for dinner?”

“We’ll come downstairs and talk about it as a group and make a group decision.” Sapphire says.

“Okay.” He turns around and stops. He faces them again. “I’d want Jade to be happy.”

“We both do as well.” Sapphire says.

“If you two were Jade, I’d also want you two to be happy.”

“Steven, I’m not trying to cheat. I just didn’t notice Ruby like this until Jade said those things.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. All I see is my wife and my ex-wife being close friends. This is good bonding.”

“What?” The two women say.

“As long as Sapphire loves me, I love her.”

“What?” They say again.

“I’m fine with you two having sex. Roy’s too pissed about his daughter being into girls, so he should feel the sting of losing his wife to one.”

“Oh.” They sigh.

“As long as you still love me, have fun.” He leaves.

“He’s so cool. Why did you two divorce?”

“We just didn’t work out. We weren’t attacking each other. We just didn’t mix.”

“What now?”

“Do you want to try kissing?”

They lean in and kiss.

“Well. That happened.” Sapphire says.

“Again?”

Sapphire shrugs and they kiss.

The girls plus Jasper return home. David and Holly are in the living room.

“How’s everything, children?” They say.

“Good.” The four reply.

“We’re going to bed.” David and Holly say.

“I’m going to help Jade with her script.”

“I can’t wait to see it, Jade. Thank you for being a good friend to Tori.” Holly says.

“Yeah. I know you two had a rough past, but things can change. I’ll make sure to bring Max, I mean, Jasper to your play after we go to a park.” David says.

“And I think this has taught us all a valuable lesson.” Holly says. They go to bed.

30 minutes pass. Tori and Jade are at the dinner table going over her play and Trina and Japser are watching TV.

“So why did you want to change your name?” Trina asks.

“I like both, but I want Jade to know that I love her as a sister now. Plus, this is what my mom wanted. Maybe I’ll ask her to do it legally.”

“Does the script look good, Tori?”

“Yes, Jade. If it were bad, I would’ve told you the last few times you asked.”

“I know. I just have to make sure this is perfect.”

“Jade, we all skimmed through it over and over. It looks fine. We all said it looks fine.”

“Well, I want to impress my parents and yours. This was supposed to be my way of coming out to them, but I ruined it.”

“You didn’t ruin anything.”

“I should’ve known my dad would act like that. He only just started being okay with me being a Hollywood Arts student.”

“Hey. I’m here.” Tori hugs Jade and kisses her on the cheek. “Take a bath and maybe it’ll help you relax. You can even use one of our bath bombs.”

“Yeah. I’ll do that.”

“I wanna do that too!”

“I think we all need a bath after today, Tori.” Trina says.

Everyone takes their own separate baths. Two hours pass. The four of them are now in the living room.

“Is everyone okay?” Tori asks.

“Yes.” Jade hugs Tori.

“I’m good.” Trina says. “Jasper?”

“Good.”

“Good. Trina, take Jasper and/or Maxwell somewhere.”

“Why?”

“I want to help Jade relax. I’m giving her a massage.”

“She just took a bath. Why do we need to leave for that?”

She pulls Trina aside and gives her $40. “Estoy dando este masaje.” She says with hand gestures. “This ‘massage’ if you know what I mean.”

“Oh! OH! Wow! Tori’s horny! Let’s go out and drive around, new brother.” Tori, what has she done to you?

“Okay! Jade, your friends are nice! The girl ones are pretty!”

“You’re right.” Jade says.

“You think I’m your friend?” Trina asks.

“Honestly, I do if you think I’m your friend.”

Trina smiles and hugs Jade. She takes Jasper out.

“You know, it’s your fault that I started liking hugs.”

“My room.” Tori takes Jade’s hand and they walk to her bedroom. Jade sits on Tori’s bed. “I’ll be back.” Tori goes down to the kitchen to get a bowl of fruit. She then comes back to her room. “I brought a bowl of fruit so you can have something sweet to eat.”

“Thanks.” She starts eating.

So, why do you stress yourself out for your dad’s approval? Is it because he hates the arts more than your other parents?”

“Jasper and I lived in a horrible family dynamic. The divorce ruined us even more. Deep down I feel bad that I treat both my mom and stepmom horribly. I even feel bad for being mean to our stepdad. I used to scare Jasper too much until you told me to be nicer to him. I started calling him Jasper because It made me feel a connection. We call each other ‘gem buds’ now.”

“That’s so sweet!”

“I just want all of them to be proud of me and he wants a happy family. But we can’t have what you two have. You have a crazy one in the house, but at least you all care about her. I’m the crazy one and I made things worse.” Jade pauses and sniffles. “I just want to feel special, but my dad doesn’t care. Even though my brother and the other three care, 80% isn’t 100%.” She starts to cry.

“Jade, it’s okay.”

“I’m jealous of your family! Sure, they’re not perfect like you said, but I’m jealous! You at least love your sibling and parents and they love you back. If I never met you I would still be the awful daughter and sister my family wishes they never had.”

“No.” Tori gives Jade a hug.

“I can’t even please my dad. I just started being a better sister and a better daughter to the other three, but I can’t get him to care. I needed your help for him to be okay with me going here, but all of this doesn’t help. And now I’m disowned by him.”

“You know what, fuck what your dad thinks!”

“What?”

“Would you like it in Spanish? A la mierda lo que piense tu padre.”

Jade laughs. “Don’t make me laugh. I’m crying.”

“See. I still know how to make you laugh.”

“You can always cheer me up.” Jade frowns again. “But I don’t know about tonight.”

“Jade, you are amazing. There is no way that this is the Jade West I know. My Jade West does what she wants.” Tori wipes away some of Jade’s tears.

“Well, maybe dating you changed me in a good way. Maybe being around you changed me all these years.”

“You are so talented, Jade.”

“But my dad doesn’t care. He doesn’t think I’m special.”

“Your other parents think you’re special. My parents think you’re special. Your friends think you’re special. Your brother thinks you’re special. You’re special to me. So please, let me help you. Your dad doesn’t matter right now. It’s just us two. Also, when you left after you kissed me, I knew it would piss your dad off to tell him you were a good kisser. So I told him. That’s one of your best talents aside from your bedroom talents, singing, being a playwright, and looking pretty.”

Jade laughs. “Okay then. Can I have a kiss, Tori? I need to know for sure if I’m a great kisser.”

Then they kiss for five seconds.

“Now take off your clothes!”

“Um … I know I’m a great kisser, but I didn’t expect that.” She takes off her bathrobe and pajamas.

“I’m going to give you a massage, silly! Lie on your stomach. I’m spraying this calming scent in the air.”

“This smells nice, Tori.”

“It’s a mix of flowers and vanilla. This body oil is cocoa butter scented.”

Tori takes the body oil and rubs circles on Jade’s back. She gives her small kisses on her neck. She goes lower with every hand movement and then goes back up to her shoulders.

“You’re surprisingly good at this.”

“I looked this stuff up.” Tori continues with her massage. She’s working on Jade’s shoulders and then down to her lower back. She goes down to her thighs, her legs, and to her thighs again.”

“Thank you, Tori.”

“Lift your left leg a little.”

Jade does so and Tori rubs more firmly. Jade makes soft moans when Tori rubs the inner thigh.

“Now the right.”

Jade lifts her right leg and Tori does the same. Jade moans again with the rubbing of her left inner thigh.

“Flip, please.”

Jade is now on her back. Tori starts rubbing Jade’s feet and ankles. She goes back to the jar to get more of the oil and rubs Jade’s legs. Then she goes to her belly and it makes Jade laugh.

“I brought the tickle bunny twins.” She then tickles her and they both laugh.

“My own move used against me? How dare you!” Jade says playfully.

She rubs her way up and rubs Jade’s breasts. “I really enjoy these huge and precious gems of yours.”

“I love yours as well.”

She then comes up to Jade’s face. She massages her cheeks and neck. She then gives her a kiss.

“Done?”

“Not yet, Jade. I want to feed you like you’re a goddess.” She then grabs the bowl of fruit.

“I will not argue against that.”

Tori feeds Jade some fruit.

“You know, not even Beck would do something like this.”

She keeps feeding her. When finished, she kisses Jade’s forehead. “Now you’re fed and kissable. She kisses Jade’s lips, then she makes a trail of kisses downward. She kisses both of her breasts and sucks on her nipples and continues downward.

“Tori?”

“You deserve this, Jade. I’ll stop if you want me to.” She says in a calm voice.

The trail of kisses stop and Tori sucks on Jade’s clitoris.

“Oh fuck!” Jade moans.

“Relax, Jade. Tori’s here. This part needs the massage the most.” She says softly. She alternates from rubbing, fingering, and sucking and goes slightly faster. Jade continues to sigh and moan.

After some time with that Jade squirts.

“Yum, Jade!” Tori then sticks her tongue inside.

“Oh my god!”

“Jade, God’s not in this bed with us right now.”

“Oh fuck!”

“You taste really great, by the way. If you’re afraid you’ll scream, yell into a pillow.”

Jade does as she says so that her screams are muffled.

“Tori! Tori! I’m…I’m!”

Jade grabs a pillow to muffle her moans.

“I know you’re wet, but I’m not done eating yet!”

“Oh fuck! That’s … that’s …”

Meanwhile, with Trina and Jasper.

“So. You like having a gem name?”

“Yeah. Jade and I are gem buds now. I’m glad Tori’s her girlfriend because now she’s nice!”

“Yeah.”

“Where are we going?”

“I don’t know. Wanna try a convenience store?”

“Sure! Let’s give Jade something, too.” She doesn’t want people to know, but she also likes sweet things.”

Tori, how long does it take to fuck your girlfriend?

Back in Tori’s room, Tori finishes working on Jade.

“So, how do you feel?”

Jade mumbles.

“What was that?”

“Relaxed.”

“I know I couldn’t help myself. Massages are important. Especially tongue ones.”

“I’m wet.”

“Good night, Jade. I love you.”

Tori goes to the bathroom to freshen up. She then goes back to kiss Jade on the forehead. Now she goes back to the kitchen table to go over Jade’s play. Jade starts to snore.

She then texts Trina that she’s finished and can come back home.

“Alright. Tori says the coast is clear.” Trina drives back to the house and opens the door. “Come on Jasper, we’re going to my room.”

“Here’s a snack, Tori.” He gives a snack to Tori.

“I already ate.”

“What did you eat?” He asks.

“I mean … Thank you!”

“Give one to Jade, too.”

“Oh. I gave her something.”

“Tori!”

“I’m sorry, Trina!”

“Calm your hormones!”

It’s now late at night and Tori is up on the dinner table going over Jade’s play and making sure that there’s no mistakes. Jade, with messy hair and kiss marks on her face, comes out in a shirt and shorts.

“How long was I out?”

“You were out for a really long time. You were really stressed. You definitely needed that and I hope you enjoyed it. I enjoyed you getting your stress out on me earlier before my parents came home.”

“You wear glasses?”

“Yeah. You’ve seen me in them. Sometimes I need them to read. I’m going over your play. I’m almost finished.”

“Oh. You look hot.”

It gets quiet again with the exception of Tori typing on her laptop.

“I love you, Tori.”

“I love you too, Jade. I showed you how much I love you in my room.”

“I’m going to bed. Goodnight.”

“I just finished. I’m saving this and sending it to your e-mail.”

“Tori, can I hold you while we sleep?”

“Sure. First, a kiss. Speaking of, you got a lot of kiss marks on your face.”

After their kiss, Jade grabs some paper towels and dampens them to wipe her face. They then go to bed with Jade being the big spoon.

“I won’t ever let go, Tori.”

“I don’t want you to let go.”

“I need you.”

“Goodnight, Jade.”

“Goodnight, Tori.”

It’s a Saturday afternoon and everyone is at a park. Jasper is playing catch with David.

“Your dad really likes having a son.” Holly says to Tori and Trina.

“Yeah.” They say.

“Thank you for having a younger brother, Jade.”

“Thank my parents.”

“Imagine if I popped out a brother for you two.” Holly says.

“Mom?” Trina and Tori ask.

“No. I’m not pregnant right now. But seeing your dad with that boy acting like a dad again …”

“Mom?” They ask again.

“It just does something to me!”

“Hey, Tori, let’s go somewhere.”

“I’d love to, Jade.” They hold each other’s hands and walk away. They start kissing. “I don’t think they saw.” They walk back.

“You two went out quick. Any secrets you two want to talk about?” Holly asks.

“None!” They say.

David and I really did mess up. “Just know we’re always here to talk.”

“Okay.”

“Right now would be a good example.”

They walk away.

We failed our daughter again.

They go over to David.

“Hey, Jade, I just want to thank you for being a better person to Tori.”

“Of course.”

“You know, you’re almost like family.”

“That’s nice.”

“You two seem really close. Imagine if you two were—“

“Dad, Jasper wants you to catch.” Tori walks away with Jade.

Trina sits on a bench. David and Holly sit with her.

“Are we bad parents?” They ask.

“Well, you two leave us at home to fend for ourselves. I needed you two when I had my wisdom teeth removed and you went to Santa Barbara. Tori had to take care of me.”

“Would you trust us with a secret if you had one?” Holly asks.

”For example: if you had a crush on someone.” David asks.

Do they know about Tori and Jade‽ “I’m already bold about my crush on Beck.”

“What would you do if you liked girls? I’m your mother. Trust me.”

“I … I wouldn’t tell either of you.”

“What about Tori?” They say.

“Gotta run!” Trina leaves.

“Wait. Your father and I are going on a date. Go back home in Jade’s car.”

“Will do!” Trina leaves.

“We are bad parents.” They say.

Trina meets with the others. “Alright. Whenever we’re ready to head home, we’re going in Jade’s car. Tori, Mom and Dad are going on a date.”

“Let’s just go now. I’m tired of the tension.”

“I can help relieve that for you, Tori.”

“Get a room.”

“That’s the point, Trina.”

“I’ll get your brother and tell him to come home.”

“Okay. I’m going to make out with your sister in the car.”

An hour passes and David and Holly are on their date.

“How’s your steak, David?”

“It’s good. How’s yours?”

“We’re bad parents!”

“Holly, it’s okay.”

“No. It’s not!”

“Look! The dessert’s coming!”

“No amount of dessert is going to change how I feel.”

The server places the dessert on the table and David hands the credit card to pay. Holly takes a bite.

“Well?”

“It tastes good.”

“Tori will trust us eventually.”

They leave and head home.

“Dammit. We’re bad parents, David.”

“We’ll regain their trust.”

They open the door. Jasper is on the couch

“Hey, Son.” David says.

“It’s late. Why are you still up?”

“I got scared.”

“Why?” Holly asks.

“Jade’s sounds like she and Tori are fighting.”

“Fighting?”

“Yeah, but her friends said it was other stuff like tag, pirates, wrestling, the floor is lava, and tickle fighting. Trina left and I don’t know when she’s coming back.”

They go upstairs. Trina comes in.

“Your parents just came home and went upstairs.”

Crap!

Holly and David are in their rooms. Trina enters.

“Um … hello?”

“Hello, Trina.” David says.

“We were just about to sleep.”

“I hope you didn’t hear anything suspicious! There’s no weird sounds coming from Tori’s room at all!”

“Not at all.” Holly says.

“Good.” Trina leaves.

“David, they were having sex.”

“I know.”

It gets quiet.

“Is it weird that I think it was adorable?”

“These are girls that hated each other. Now they do this? I don’t know how to feel.”

“They’re in love!”

“I know! I am happy, but … that’s our daughter having … I can’t say it.”

There’s a knock on the door.

“It’s open.”

Jasper enters. “I think Jade and Tori are still fighting. I’m scared.”

“Oh! Um … David, help!”

“How do we tell him, Holly?”

“Sometimes, when two people are in love, they play a game.”

“And … and … sometimes it sounds loud and violent.”

“But that doesn’t mean it is loud and violent.”

“They’re just really happy.”

“They’re doing a happy dance with lots of singing.”

“Oh. Okay.” Jasper walks away.

The weekend ends. It’s Monday night and the opening night of Jade’s play. Tori and Jade are watching from the side of the stage away from the actors.

“So far, everything is going well. I made sure we had all of your props and costumes early.”

“Thanks again, Tori. We’re near the end.”

“They got their lines down! They’re doing pretty well!”

“Oh! Wait! I forgot something!”

“Oh no! What‽”

Jade kisses Tori on both cheeks. Tori smiles and does the same. Then, they give each other a small kiss on the lips. Finally, an open-mouthed kiss with a hug.

"I'm a failure of a father. I let my hate get to me and now she's dying. How can I save her?"

“I know how. I'll give her a kiss."

"Anything to have her back."

After the kiss, the other actress wakes up.

“Dad! I’m sorry—“

“No. I was wrong about what I said. Go. Be happy together.”

The curtains close and the audience applauds. Jade’s parents go backstage to see Jade.

“Maybe I was wrong about what I said.” Roy says. He turns to face Jade’s other parents and they motion him to continue. “Jade, Tori, I’m sorry. If they accept your relationship, then I should accept your relationship. Keep being a good influence to our daughter, Tori.”

“Thanks.” The two girls say.

“Are you and Jasper coming home?” Sapphire asks.

“We’re having dinner with her parents. We’ll be with you when we get back.” Jade says.

“We loved the play.” Ruby and Steven say.

“Thank you so much, Tori.” Sapphire says.

Jade’s parents leave. They turn around hey see that the two are standing there together kissing and holding each other. They walk back out. Trina comes up to them holding Jasper’s hand.

“Tori, Jade, are you two ready to tell them?”

They nod their heads and David and Holly come up to them.

“Mom, Dad, I…” Tori chokes up and sheds some tears. “I can’t!”

“Mr. and Mrs. Vega, Tori and I are dating. This isn’t fake. I’m her girlfriend. I know what I did in the past is unforgivable, but I changed and I love her.” She holds Tori and wipes away one of Tori’s tears. “And no matter what you two think about two girls being together, I won’t tolerate mocking Tori.”

“Jade, your father told us.” David says.

“Also, we heard you two last night and some nights before.” Holly says.

“Your brother thought you two were fighting.”

Tori continues to cry.

“It’s okay, Tori. In hindsight, it’s pretty funny and adorable.” David says.

“All we want is you to be good to our daughter.” Holly says.

“You’ll be a good girlfriend to her?” David says

“Yes.”

“And no more attempting to kill her?” He asks

“I promise. You can shoot me yourself if it comes down to that Mr. Vega.”

“Why didn’t you tell your mother and me earlier? Did it happen after the play?”

Tori sniffles. “You two laughed when we were in that play, and I didn’t … ” Tori cries louder.

“She thought you two would laugh again.” Jade holds onto her and kisses her on the forehead.

“Tori, we’re sorry we laughed. If we knew you would end up her girlfriend, we wouldn’t have. I’m your mother. I should’ve done better. We should’ve done better.”

“We thought it was funny because we thought you’d get a girlfriend one day. But honestly, we shouldn’t have laughed that day.”

“Your father and I are sorry.”

“See. Mom and Dad aren’t upset, Tori.”

They all hug.

“Come eat dinner with us, Jade. We’re ordering something this time. Please, Holly?”

“I don’t feel like cooking today.” Holly says.

“Yes!”

“Jasper, you too. You two should come by more often. You’re like the son I never had”

“Sure.” He says.

“I’ll drive them home.” Jade says.

They go back to the Vega house.

“We couldn’t decide on Chinese food or pizza, so we got both.”

“And your father and I got you two a cake. It says ‘Congratulations on being lesbians! We’re sorry for laughing!’ on it!”

“And it’s in a rainbow tier.”

“Mom, Dad, Tori and Jade are okay.”

“Thank you.” Jade says.

“Did you two notice the rainbow sprinkles?” Holly asks.

“We get it, Mom. Jade and I are girlfriends. Just don’t mock us. Also, we’re bi.”

“Technicalities don’t matter. We’re still two girls in love with each other, Tori.”

“Cake is cake.” Jasper says as he eats.

“That’s my son!” David says.

“We’ll learn the terms for you two!” Holly says.

“You two can call us your parents if you want.” David says.

“Especially when you two get married.” Holly says.

“Trina, if you’re lesbian, we won’t laugh.”

“Still straight, Dad.”

After eating, they all sit on the couch.

“We can watch lesbian romance movies.” Holly says.

“You two are trying too hard.” Tori says.

“Mom just asked when we’re coming back, Jade.”

“Probably tonight. Jasper and I are gonna take our stuff and leave.”

“Please stay for the movie.” Holly asks.

“Sure.” Tori and Jade hold onto each other and kiss as Holly picks the movie.

"Do I take a picture of you two kissing?"

“Mom!” Tori begs.

“Yes!” Jade says.

"Jade!"

"TheSlap, Tori! We need more followers!"

Trina raises her hand. "I'll do it. If I take the picture it'll help my follower count."

Tori and Jade giggle and then kiss.

Trina takes the photo. "I'll send it to Jade."

“Thanks, Trina.” Jade posts. “Yes! We got more followers!”

"So did I." Tori says.

"I also did!" Trina says.

"Send that to me, Trina." Holly says.

“Jade, Mom wants me to change my name on my birth certificate so my first and middle name are switched.”

“Good. We can be gem buds.”

Holly starts the movie.
