Sikowitz is nearing the end of class for today.
“To finish off the rest of class today, we will do an exercise about story plot diagrams. Every television show and movie uses story plot diagrams. I’m sure you all know how it goes. We start with the exposition, or the introduction. Then, we go to the rising action where the main problem starts to build up. Third is the climax, or turning point which is where tensions are at the most high and the conflict is about to reach its tipping point. Fourth is the falling action, where the conflict usually dies down or gets solved. And then fifth is the resolution or conclusion and that may be a good ending or a bad ending. Who wants to act this out?”
André and Beck raise their hands.
“Do you want us to reach our tipping points today, Jade?”
“Look at me rubbing off on you.”

“Okay. Now set the scene.”
“We’re driving on a road trip?” Beck asks.
“Sure.” André says.
“Okay. Exposition!”

“We’re almost there, André!

“Tori and Jade, you two are up.”
“But we didn’t even raise our hands.”
“That is true, Jade. However, I want to see how you two interact since you two are basically enemies. Also, nobody else but you six say anything.”

“Why‽” The two, plus André, Beck, Cat, and Robbie say.
“Siblings can act any which way. Friends can also have certain dynamics. But two people who are in a romantic relationship act differently than the prior two. It takes a lot more dedication. There’s commitment to acting as brothers, commitment to friendships, and commitment to romance. Seeing as you two had troubles in the prior times being a romantic couple and friends in general, I want to see how well you two will be in a sudden exercise.”
The two girls whisper to each other.
“Tori and I are at a mall.”
“Okay! Exposition!”

“Let’s walk around and do some shopping.”

“Alright. We did our shopping. What’s next?”

“Conclusion.”
“I hope you felt better. I didn’t mean to make you scared, Baby.”
“It’s okay. The fact that you made me feel comfortable after getting scared shows how much you care!”
“And I loved cuddling with you and holding hands when we watched what you wanted.”

They kiss. Everyone goes silent.

They keep kissing.
He clears his throat loudly and the girls stop.
“Go back to your seats.”
They sit down.
“Does anyone else want to go?”

The class remains silent.
“Come on! This is an opportunity for you quiet background people to say something!”
The bell rings but nobody leaves because they’re stuck staring at Tori and Jade.
“Everyone leave! Tori and Jade stay.”
The girls leave. The boys stay for a while.
“I said leave.”
“We’re all waiting for something to leave.” Rex says.
The boys leave with their bags covering their fronts.
“What was that?”
“Jade and I were just … Um … Well …”
“We were just acting in the moment!”
“It was just a really good scene.”
“Okay.”
The two girls exhale.
“Well, at the very least, you two are getting along better. I almost forgot. Jade, you need to make up time for leaving class early several times because you missed a lot of work. Also, Tori, you don’t seem risky enough for certain scenes and roles from what I’m hearing from other teachers. I may reach out to those teachers and try to find some sort of extra credit. But otherwise, you two are doing well in my class. Jade, I’m proud of how you are being less mean to people. Tori, I’m proud of how you’re able to interact better with Jade. Maybe that play was helpful.”
Jade then steps on Tori’s foot.

Back at the Vega house, Tori waits for a text.
“Okay, she should text back any moment now.”
“I’ve never heard you sound so desperate before, Tori.”
“At least I have a girlfriend, Trina!”
“I support you and Jade, but I’m not into girls. That comeback doesn’t make me feel bad. You need to work on that.”
“Come on, Jade.”
“I’m sorry to say it, but desperation isn’t a good look on you, Tori.”
“Okay! She’s here! I’m going!”
“What’s with the blankets?”
“All I know is that we’re using blankets to cover the seats since she shares a car with her mom. And we’re both wearing nothing but bathrobes. I’m leaving.”
Tori enters the car and kisses Jade.
“We’re getting tacos before we do this so we have something to eat after.”
“You really did think this through, Jade. Where are we going? Also, don’t you drive a smaller car?”
“We’re going somewhere secluded again. I’m thinking an empty parking lot. Also, I borrowed the family car at my mom’s place.” They kiss again. “First, tacos.”
They kiss again and Jade drives off.
Back to Cat and Robbie
“How are you feeling back there, Cat?”
“This is nice! We should do this more often!”
“You want something to eat?”
“Tacos! It’s the first meat thing we ate together.”
“We should try more meats. We could call them meat dates and we try things like burgers and such.”
Cat giggles. “Such.”
“But we can’t forget our mission.”

“They’re getting tacos. Write that down, Burf.”
Burf writes on a notepad. “Why’s Sikowitz making us do this again?”
“To make sure they go on their date, Burf.”
“But why do you have a camera, Sinjin?”
“To have proof.”

“But I have a camera and I can record and take photos.”

“All of this peddling is making me hungry.” Robbie says.

“They sure have been in the closet for a while.”

“No. I meant the actual closet. This isn’t the first time they were in there. They also did things in the closets in their homes. Jade told me some naughty things.”

Tori and Jade finally park at the empty parking lot.
“It’s a good thing we’re out pretty late.”

They get the seats flat.

“I got a visual on the car, Sinjin.”
“What’s going on?”
“Hang on.” Burf moves the binoculars to get a better look. He goes silent.
“Earth to Burf?”

Burf hands Sinjin the binoculars and Sinjin looks through them to see a naked Tori on top of a naked Jade. Now they’re tumbling and Jade is on top.
“Burf, activate the camera drone!”
“Do we send that to Sikowitz?”

Suddenly, Tori’s hand is seen on the window followed by Jade’s on top of it. They make a streak on the window.
“Now Jade’s on top of her, Sinjin. I’ll set up the drone.”
“I should be in there with them, Burf.”
Cat and Robbie leave Taco Guapo.
“Hey, is that Sinjin and Burf?”
“Good eye, Cat. They’re not too far. We have to pedal faster!”
They finally approach Sinjin and Burf.
“Sinjin! Burf!”
“Robbie! Get a look at this!”
He gives Robbie the camera to the drone. He and Cat gasp seeing Tori and Jade.
“They’re being naughty!” Cat says.
“You can’t record that and send it to Sikowitz!” Robbie says.
“You’re right.” Burf says.
“Thank you.” Cat and Robbie say.
“We’re keeping it for ourselves!” Sinjin says.

Robbie grabs at the controller and a struggle happens between the four of them. The drone then flies too far, crashes into a tree, and starts to catch on fire.

“Yeah. I hear voices, let’s wait until they die down. Hide under the blankets.”
“Get the drone, Burf!”
“Cat, we gotta stop them!”
“Okay, Jade. I think that was Cat, Robbie, Sinjin, and Burf.”

“Let’s just wipe off the fog from the windows.
Jade wipes her side. “I don’t see anyone here. How’s your side?”
Tori wipes her side. “The coast is clear.”
“Good!” Jade comes from behind and grabs Tori and they continue where they left off. The car starts to shake.
An hour passes and Cat, Robbie, Sinjin, and Burf are now by the car explaining the situation to Tori and Jade who are now in bathrobes and eating their food.
“Sikowitz didn’t believe you two were taking it seriously, so Burf and I were sent to watch you two without you two knowing.”
“But then we saw … everything.”
“And Sinjin wanted to keep it. Cat and I tried stopping their drone.”
“Yeah!”
“Why can’t Jade and I have sex without getting interrupted?”

It’s the next day of school. The girls and Sikowitz are in Lane’s office along with Mabel.
“We’re actually dating.” Tori says.
“But we were slowly working our way to tell people.” Jade says.
“Is this because of the play?” Mabel asks.
“No. I love Jade.”
“And I love Tori.”
“And I have proof. Jade, do you want to give Tori what you wrote to me the day you and Sikowitz were here.”
“Mr. Lane Alexander is right.”
He hands Jade the note and she reads it out loud.
“I’m afraid of being in the play with Tori because I think I might have a crush on her. I’m tired of always being with her because I hate her but I also want her in more ways than one.” The two girls hold hands and Tori smiles. “I already ended up telling Tori.”
“You liked me first?”
“Yeah. In the beginning, I was obsessed with you. I hated you. But you’re different. You didn’t back down like other girls and you even helped me a lot. Somehow, it turned into a crush.” She kisses Tori. “And I never wanted to say it out loud, so I wrote it down.”
“So this isn’t my fault. You two being a couple isn’t because of the play?”
“Technically, you and Sikowitz helped. But we’re better because of it.” Tori says.
“Alright! I made two couples happen!”
“I’m glad Tori and I were in your play.”
“Thank you, Jade.”
“Okay. I’m good here. Don’t be late to class, girls.”
“What about the extra credit?” Jade asks.
“Wait. All of this for extra credit? Fine. You two can have it. But get to my class soon before the bell rings.”
They go to the hallway. Jade drags Tori to the janitorial closet.
“Jade. I think we’re already out of the closet by now.”

“Okay.” Tori wipes away a tear and extends her pinky. They link pinkies and then kiss.
“Your body is amazing. Now we have to get out of here before we get in trouble.” Jade takes her hand and walks out of the janitorial closet. People stare at them.
“What? Can’t two girls come out of the closet together?”
A boy raises his hand.
“Yes. Boy who I recognize crying because Jade kissed me.”
“It’s Orville. Are you two really a couple?”
“Yes.” They say.
“Oh. Congratulations, Jade.” He and a group of boys start crying.

“Yes. I recognize you because I bullied you before.”

“Yes. I will. I’ll do anything for her.” They kiss. The crowd is now a mix of applause and crying.
“Alright. I’m not getting paid enough to make boys cry and get positive attention. Get to class!”
Everyone goes silent. Tori looks at Jade.
“I’ll rephrase that.” Jade clears her throat. “We don’t have time to continue showing our affection for each other in the hallway. Everyone, we should go to our respective classes to avoid being late.”
