"I believe Harvard has told you a thing or two about your true origins," said Robert with an unfathomable stare.
"yeah...." said Trevor.
"Well. You came from a lost civilization from a thousand years ago. It was called Altahoma. You were frozen with a spell along with many other children from both where you came from and across the planet."
'OH so now am a thousand years older than dad.' thought Trevor sarcastically.
" Wait, did you just say along with many others!"exclaimed Trevor surprised.
" Yes. All the realm protector villages were taken to the spirit realm by the spirit fire meteorites. You had to be frozen so there could still be protectors of the Realms.
The portals of the Realms open up in different Realms at different times.
And here on earth, they open up at the at the protector villages across the world. "said Robert.
" And yes, there are many other villages like Altahoma. "
Trevor took some time to suck it all in.
" And they aren't happy that the Akoha is from Altahoma. You gotta watch out for them. They will do anything to eliminate you. "said Robert.
" what is an Akoha?"asked Trevor.
" You'll find out when the time is right. "said Robert.
" But for now, you need training. " continued Robert.
" Alright which kind of training are we talking about here.? "asked Trevor excitedly.
" Follow me. "
Robert led Trevor upstairs into his room study and pushed a pushed a bookshelf in.
A white portal came into view. They both walked in and ended up in a gigantic white room.
Trevor's Jaws dropped at the sight of the miraculous white room.
" This here, is a pavilion. It is where all other protectors go for their training.
You'll be rated according to how much you've learned."
"So how does it work?" asked Trevor.
"You see that screen over there." said Robert pointing at a giant screen on a. Wall.
"yeah, what about it?" asked Trevor
"That's the training panel. It selects a training course for you and teleport you to the training dungeon." said Robert walking closer to the screen.
He tapped a button on the top of the screen and the screen lit up with a white light.
"So how does it work." asked Trevor.
"You have to initiate it with your blood.
Cut a small slit on your palm and touch the screen." said Robert.
Trevor wasn't sure about the blood initiation thing.
'Oh shit now I have to cut my self.' thought Trevor.
"Stretch out you hand." said Robert while pulling a pocket knife out of his pocket.
Trevor had all wild thoughts running in his mind. He could only stretch out his hand in panic.
"This is just nothing you'll face a lot worse than this. You gotta be a man." said Robert with a smirk on his face.
Robert cut Trevor's palm and Trevor hissed I'm pain.
He then told Trevor to place him hand in the middle of the screen.
Trevor did what he was told and in the next moment the screen started lighting in red as it absorbed Trevor's blood.
Once the corners of the screen tuned red too, the white light came back as fast as a blink of an eye like an explosion happened.
"welcome Trevor. V. Alphaman" said an emotionless voice.
"Trevor.V.Alphaman? What does the V stand for?" asked Trevor creasing his brows.
This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it
"Victor. That was your name before you were frozen." replied Robert.
Trevor then started exploring the screen, tapping there and here until he finally had an understanding of the screen.
Robert, who had stepped out some time back and let Trevor experiment the screen, returned and told him to activate a training dungeon.
Although Trevor had a better understanding of the Pavilion terminal, he still hadn't figured out how to set a training dungeon.
"Uhh. I still don't know how to do that." said Trevor.
"See that three dashed menu icon. Tap it and go to the dungeon option." said Robert pointing at the left upper corner of the screen.
"Alright." said Trevor.
He then saw a bunch of sub options after tapping dungeon.
He then navigated the menu board himself when he saw a training sub option.
Robert helped him with setting up the dungeon's background and information.
After that he then tapped the simulate button at the right middle fur end of the screen.
It took about 30 sec before it displayed a start trading button.
Trevor then tapped it and the screen displayed a forest.
"So, where are the Controls.?" asked Trevor curiously.
"Step in to the screen kid." said Robert with a bemused look.
There it was, another shocker in the same day.
First his told his from a lost civilization then he is teleported and after that is called a protector of the Realms, now he had to step into the screen.
Could it get any crazier?
Trevor walked into the screen but was still unsure about the whole step into the screen thing.
He put his right leg into the screen first, and to his surprise, it entered like there was nothing in front of him.
"Don't worry I'll explain how it works when you come back." said Robert re assuring him.
Trevor then walked into the displayed world freely.
"Trevor! Run! Run!" said a male voice came from behind Trevor.
The owner of the voice was being chased by a voice was being chased by 5 wolves.
Seeing this, Trevor followed the boy's instruction and ran as he could feel his heart escalate in fear.
"Take a right turn," said the boy again.
Trevor could only obey and branch off between some trees. After 5 minutes of running aimlessly with the wolve's growls almost giving him a heart attack, he suddenly felt no ground beneath him. And he was immediately affected by gravity. "Crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he shouted as though it would help with the situation. But the hard impact he had expected didn't come, instead, his surrounding went extremely quiet and replaced with the sound of water flowing into his ears and his vision turned blurry. His body felt weightless and wet!
Realizing that he had fallen into a slow river, he raised his arms above his head and pulled down while kicking his legs on the liquid matter repeatedly, slowly approaching the round source of light above him. Once he reached the surface, he gaped a mouthful of air and ran his hand down his face to clear the blurry vision from the water. His chest bobbed up and down, desperately gasping for air.. "Wait, where's that boy?" he asked himself after looking around the surface. Seeing nothing but tiny waves of radiating waves of calm water originating from where he fell. Suddenly, a large splash happened next to him as something fell into the water. Shortly after, the boy emerged and gasped for air just like him.
The wolves could only look down the cliff with saddened eyes as if they had lost their first meal in days.
"That was a close one, Trevor. Now we have to go finish our hunt." said the boy.
