Chapter 15:

“So, you are really leaving?” his voice echoed into my ear as I turned to face him. There he stood Liang Lì, still leaving his upper body exposed to the elements but with a coat over his shoulders. Out of all the things he consistently wore were his uniform pants that part never changed. Looking over him right now I couldn’t help but feel a strange sensation that was slowly starting to build up within me.

He was a tall, handsome man with short black hair with white highlights and amber eyes. Despite possibly being in his twilight years, he has the appearance of a young man in his peek prime, having a muscular physique without a hint of excess. Shit, I hate to admitted it but his frame puts my original body to shame and this guy wasn’t even a military student either like me either.

However, that wasn’t the only thing that seemed to irk me another unfamiliar feeling was surging within me, I don’t know how to explain it. Just being near this guy smelling his scent off of his body made me feel…. tingly I can’t even find the word for it.

“Yes, we’ve overstayed our welcome here. But don’t worry with the intercom that you’ve already established linked to our EM-Wave Frequency, we can communicate if you need us. Besides we have a ISAC Node up and running at our place so there shouldn’t be any problems with the connection.” Locking eyes with him, I tried with all my being to not seem so weird in front of him, if he had noticed my faltering completion, he didn’t show it. I just seriously hope that he just didn’t notice.

“No that’s not the -” He started but I did catch the rest of his sentence as my mind was unfocused on him but rather in the depths of my mind, reasoning thoughts of concerns playing a script in my head. What could cause him such distress? The latest creation of human communication the EM Wave communications, EM Wave basically means Electromagnetic Wave, which all EM technology is created by. Like all other electromagnetic waves, they travel at the speed of light. Operating on two different patterns the first being the Type-L; a short distance communication wave that is frequently used to facilitate direct audio and video communications between multiple parties. And the second being the Type-Q a more advanced quantum encryption communications protocol wavelength, much like the Type-L used to facilitate real time video conversations as well as to send messages. Albeit Aside from the fact that the Type-Q make use of quantum encryption methods, making this EM Wave more suited for long distance telecommunications.

Though I don’t really understand the full specifics of EM Waves but it works similar to using a light wavelength that is close to visible light, as visible light can't be easily disrupted. Besides the usual characteristics such as invisibility to naked human eyes and being harmlessness towards organic matters, what’s more the EM Waves differ greatly from the 21st century waves, as the technology is capable of storing and organizing them into specific traits with permanent stable forms, and without the generating process of energy mechanisms. How this works once again I don’t know the specifics; I couldn’t give anyone an answer if I knew. However, if something can interfere with the EM waves, the line will disappear though this situation is usually not that common. It can be said to be akin to a yarn phone, and by using EM Wave, long range communication is possible. Its communication range can also be extended with the use of LCS drones or towers nodes. We don’t have any tower nodes but lucky being a military academy we have a limited amount of LCS drones.

If we could set up an EM Wave Tower Node, we could use the WCS for the Type-Q waves. Then we wouldn’t have to worry too much about the connection.

Easier said that done however where are we just going to find a Tower Node here anyway? Forget it no point in worry about it now. Right now, let’s just get back home and set up the connection on our end to establish a stable communication line.

“Hey Yin we’re about ready to go you’ve got everything on board?” breaking out of my inner thoughts was Ailsa’s voice. Coming form the inner section of the Hornbill’s cargo hull came Ailsa Smith, her newly acquired high heels shoes clicking lightly against the steel panels of the aircraft floors. The female student uniform coat she wore hung loosely over her elbows, the t-shirt she wore did little to cover her well tone mid-section, her breast too large for the shirt lifting it revealing her stomach. The short pants she wore barely showed, revealing her long slim flawless legs.

“Yeah, we’re about done here, have we gotten everyone on board?” I asked back turning my attention away from Liang Lì, inwardly I was glad to redirected my attention somewhere else from him.

“Everyone but you stop flirting and get a move on already we still have work to do back home.”

“What makes you think……. I wasn’t……. uh never mind let’s go.”

“We’re not…”

Liang Lì and spoke at the same time even as I moved away from him, I didn’t hear the rest of his words as the engines came online. The wind began swimming over me causing my hair to fail around franticly, causing me to try fruitlessly to hold my hair back. maybe I should have tied my hair into some sort of braid or pony tail like Ailsa, but that’s just too much work ha~. Even the coat that I wore over my skin flapped violently I was also about to have my other free hand to hold it down but decide against it I was already showing a lot of skin it didn’t matter either way.

So, I just resorted to simply the cool breeze in the morning sun on my back and stomach, the jacket held just slight by the zipper over my breast flowed like the smooth cloth it was.

I then turned my head around to look upon the group of representative students of the Sun Leaf Academy. whom came to give their final thanks and pleasantries to us and goodbyes there are sources of other packs of student crowding around the area too each trying to get a us. All the more reason right now to get the heck out of here. Liang Lì stood there at the front of the group much the familiar faces I saw at the meeting were present all expect one. The one known as Ye Chen, not that it really mattered that one was irreverent.

Locking eyes with Liang Lì’s eyes once more I gave him a small wave. Turning my sights away before I bothered to see his response as the cargo bay door of the Hornbill’s cargo hull shifted. Its gears whirring and surging power forcing its slumbering hydraulic pumped to work as the door shifted and began to close. Before the door was even closed the craft was already in the air before the doors close shut with a soft click, and the seals hissed and engaged locking it in place.

Liang Lì’s point of view

“And there they go~, it truly is a pity isn’t it young master.” As the engine blare dimed over the air came Walter’s voice. The figure of the large aircraft slowly disappearing over the heavens, I didn’t miss the sarcastic tone his voice held. “What are you implying Walter?” I ask genuinely curious about what this oldest trust worthy servant, that has been with me since my birth was saying.

“Oh, nothing but the ramblings of an old fool young master, ho-ho, you seemed to really enjoy their company, no? Especially that young silver haired maiden Yue no I figure you to become quite fond of her ho-ho.” The old man’s lips lifted in a slight simile.

“What are you implying you old man?” I asked again though I had a slight impression of the truth of what was being said. Why was he asking about Yue? I had spoken with her the most during the last two days. However, those were strictly about business what was he insinuating?

“Ho-ho nothing much at all young master.” The old man laughed again softly. Then he said no more so I asked no more this old coop, there was no getting anything else out of him like this so I turned to Quon Ru (Bright Scholar) the student council president of Sun Leaf Academy of Technology. He wasn’t in the original meeting due to other urgent matters at hand but he got acquainted with the Yin Yue’s group shortly after the last two days.

“Speaking of which where is that guy?” I asked my student council president. He turned to me his brow slightly raised. “Who? Oh Ye Chen…...who knows……. probably off playing with the whore Zhao Yanyan or his other play things.” He finished his words with a scowl on his face and disgust, other among them in the assembly also had the same expressions. At the mere notion of the name Ye Chen.

“We’re going to need to deal with that guy one way or another soon.” Another voice came from my side I knew that voice to be Kuo’s. “He may act the play boy act well, but I’m sure, that you’ve already knew the under table deals and plans that guy been making right?” I turned my head to face him as he continued on. “I don’t really know what that guy is planning but he’s planning something.”

“Even if we know that what can we do that is a serious accusation you’re throwing out there.” I responded lightly trying to sooth Kuo’s mood. “Let that guy do as he wish for now but when he strikes, we will be ready for whatever he has planned. Just keep an eye on that guy and make sure he doesn’t do anything stupid there’s really not much he can do in our current predicament Afterall even he knows that, so its going to be a long wait.”

“Ho-ho, there is great wisdom in young Kuo’s words my master.” Walter reaffirmed Kuo’s point to me and I honestly couldn’t help but sigh out loud.

“I know I never advised against I simply said to make ready for that event should it happen, you all heard me there’s nothing he can do but that’s also true for us as well my words stand.”

“Of course, young master shall we continue with our side of things?”

“Is there a need to ask that?” I simply stated the obvious as I turned around back to the dorm building, my team following after me, I look back to the dorm I can see the small shadow silhouette in the windows. I know who that was, I didn’t need to be a genius to figure that out. I let out a slight smirk knowing he was looking at me you want to play then, let’s play this will be fun.

I mean there nothing else better to do.
