Chapter 10.5: Call
“Anything?”
Within a dimly lit room a room messy with machinery parts lying about, food wrappers, and files of paperwork a young male’s voice can be heard among a shadow of figures hovering over the only source of light in the room.
“Nothing as of yet, we have to give it some time I told you this already.”
“Yeah we already been giving this Thing “some time” already for the past few weeks we’re at our limit here man, make something out of it already.”
“Well what do you want me to do? It’s not like just because I fixed the damn radio that helps going to be here instantly you know that’s not how it works.”
Several voices echoed in the dark space their faces barley visible in the shadow of the light as they began to bicker with one another; the volume was intensifying as the argument worsened until -

“Enough, Wei did his job let’s just be thankful that at least we have a functioning radio to even call for help.”
A low stern voice echoed in the air behind them though the owner of the voice spoke in a low tone the authority it carried in its tone towered over everyone else’s voices reaching each of their ears silencing them, no one spoke they’ve even seem to forget breathe as they waited for the figure in the shadows behind to speak again.
But no words came from the visible male’s lips yet still they waited only seconds have passed since he spoke yet it felt like hours has passed, their ears strained to hear anything coming from his mouth but all they could hear was the faint thumps of their beating hearts in their chest.
The light in room looming over his figure due to the party slightly moving aside from the light sourceshowing his form though it was visually just slightly, it was a male aside from the voice. The figure’s face still couldn’t be seen but the dim light revealed a bare upper body of a fine tone muscular body, specks of shining reflecting light shined on parts of the body. This speck being small droplets of sweat trailing down his body a heavy scent of body order hung over the air.
“Ok boss so, what do we do now?” one of the few souls within the room unable to bear the silence spoke up, before suddenly -
Ding, buzz, beep, clang~! (Alarm Noises)
The blaring noise of an alarm rang out inside the room causing all the souls within the room to jolt slightly, they knew what the alarm meant and unanimously subconsciously or not all shadows turned towards one direction in the dark room.
Along with the booming alarm in their ears a bright flash of red light blared in sync with each beat of the alarm, revealing more content of the room just for a brief moment.
The figure they all turned towards simply said one statement while turning his back towards them his figure disappearing further into the darkness around them heading towards a door on the other side as his rang out low but the tone still resonated enough and reverberated for all to hear his words.
“We fight.”
