Shopowner-
.
Rexford and Liadan had hit it off pretty well during the shopping. Not only did it take over 2 hours with the stopping and discussions of herbal mixtures but a stop at the liquor section had his interest shot down hard.
The law in terms of Supernatural alcohol was extremely strict and very weird. He could drink it if it was offered but couldn't purchase it himself unless he was 50 years old! Unless he was in an establishment then the rules varied on how worked there.
The Gorgon was very incessant that he doesn't drink and ruin his career before it starts. She definitely had mother vibes about her and it was quite humourous to him. But his thoughts were anything motherly toward her as she was quite the view for his eyes.
Even with the possible danger of getting turned to stone if he was too weak. Once she recovered of course.
"You are looking well, young man." The voice caused Rexford to stare with wide eyes as it was the shopkeeper from before. He just didn't look like it really. Considering his body was massive and the size of an SUV. "Glad you kept your word and purchased a few more cigars from me."
With the green tint around the temples and pale face, it was hard to determine what type of creature the shop owner was. And it was rude to ask in a public setting he found out from the Gorgon who elbowed him when starting at a Lamia.
"It was a Deal formed from an oral agreement, those are just as strong to me. Hopefully, everything continues to go well and I can place an order for about 25 cases each in two months." Everything he is trying to sell should be done by then and a few returns should start coming back by then. Receiving the tote bag and his receipt he smiled. 'Tote Bag's after a certain amount of purchases, not bad at all. Who knew the Supernatural community was so much like the normal ones.'
"That is good, I will make sure to give you a good deal. In fact, as a show of good faith, I will have those reserved in advance. So same day delivery the order is put in." Thinking it over, they were all brands that didn't sell and were part of a small deal to cover the cost difference. 'This kid is turning out well, and his strength is something to watch out for in the younger generation. Such raw magical energy contained in his breath, that was not there before.'
One other reason the Gorgon was talking to him so closely was because of this. As a type of defense for himself Rexford allowed his magical base to leak out but not his cultivation one. He needs to test the effect on others and how they react all the same.
The Gorgon definitely liked it and a few times he could swear her snake hairs moved a little.
The shop owner also gave him his card to call in the order. Rexford put it in his vest pocket with a few others he needed to go through and organize. Catching that the name on the card read as Lord Abraham Shelley.
"Excuse me," A man wearing a cloak and very heavy rags couldn't help himself any longer. "I really must have a word with you." He ignored the shop owner and a few others who gave an evil eye. "Lord Archdruid Archibald Cummings."
"That..is a strong name." Extending his hand out, Rexford just gave a simple introduction with a firm grip. "Master Rexford Maccebues, what could you possibly want to speak with me about."
The two's grip caused a few magical fluctuations that shocked those nearby. The black and gold discharges clashed against dark green waves from the Archdruid.
"Good show lad!" The Archdruid was happy from the handshake and didn't catch the Rexford was caught off guard when it first happened. "This is what I wanted to ask about, the others are too fearful to do so."
"More like polite you old treehumper." A woman snorted as she checked out.
"Don't worry about her, are you a Druid by chance?"
"I have no real title to myself besides that of a Master of a Martial Magical School." Playing it carefully he spoke his words carefully in a way he wouldn't give way to certain claims. "But I have nothing against any type as I myself have used the Earth itself to really help with.. my progress."
"I knew it!" He all but jumped in joy as he grasped the extended hand. "How about learning under me!"
"Leave the newcomer alone!" A man hanging from ballist shouted angrily. "He is to much for your School of Magic!"
It turned rowdy really quickly with no one really saying anything good.
"Settle down in my store!" Lord Abraham shouted with pressed lips. it was a very powerful and weird thing to feel. "Keep things civil!"
Rexford impressed them as he stood his ground and didn't look affected outwardly. Little did they know he was a complete wreck internally and was saved because of his strong body letting him resist.
"I don't plan on learning under anyone for the time being, but I have no issues with discussing." After pulling the blood back into his Internal Space from his teeth and throat he spoke carefully. 'I do not like this feeling at all, I knew it was dangerous after passing a few of them while shopping but not this dangerous!'
"Oh, an Academic! Even better!" The Archdruid finally let go of Rexford's hand and reached into his robes frantically. "Give me a minute I will have it somewhere inside these blasted things!"

It took a few minutes but he found what he was looking for. A seed no bigger than a thumb but withered as can be. No one really reacted to it but the man hanging from the Ballist glared a little.
If not for his position Rexford would not have seen it.
"If you can channel your mana into this in a few months I can definitely exchange some Druidic talks."
"I see." While the Archdruid searched Rexford made sure to find something to give the other. But the only thing he thought would suffice was one of the fruit plants he was growing. "Well if you can find out anything wrong with my fruits let me know."
*Plop!* Pulling the strawberry potted plant out of his Internal Space, he let smack onto his palm. To cover the secret of the Internal Space a Glyph had lit up on his sleeve at the same time.
"Very fragrant!" The Archdruid smiled while smelling them. "Good job at raising them, I can't wait to get started!"
After chatting a little more, Rexford and the Gorgon left. Quite a number of eyes were still on the duo than before. Especially on Rexford after that display.
"Hey!" One of the women that shouted at the Archdruid before plucking one of the strawberries. "You greedy thing!" He quickly stored it in his robes for safety. "Nefertiti, you are so quick to eat others' foods!"
"This is really good, even better than yours in richness!" The glow of her eyes could not be missed as well as the predatory gaze she unleashed. "And the younone is not a Druid... I wonder what he can be?"
"Who knows, he bought a lot of different stuff but I am more interested in how strong he is."
"At least in the Qi Condensation Realm." A new voice said from the shadows. "That's what my spies have told me anyway. Quite the little rabble-rouser as he killed a Warlock recently in another state."
"Humph, one of them Cultivators noising in our City, what do we owe this displeasure?" Nefertiti did not hide her disgust at all. 'This old bastard has gotten stronger, won't be able to play around if this turns ugly.'
"None of that, all are welcome in my store." Lord Abraham's voice cut through the shop for all to hear. "If you are ready to check out, just come on up. Don't incite any trouble Great Thunderfist."
Of course, it was just the old man's cultivator name and not his real one. Most in the supernatural community went by title and the Martial artist went by another name.
"Not yet, just couldn't help but get involved." His very tone was snaky and oily. If that was even possible to do with a few words. "As a show of goodwill, I want to share what it seems you all do not know."
"You shitty bug, just spit it out already!" Nefertiti was starting to get angry and it showed by her skin turning from a beautiful bronze to having hair on it. "What Warlock did he kill?!"
She all but demanded as it was not good for her to play around with a Warlock killer. Considering she was one for several years she really hoped that was not the case.
A few frowned at hearing Rexford had killed someone. They already mentally crossed it off to not get involved with him easily.
"Why The Great Warlock Cidolfus, by completely messing up his ritual." The Great Thunderfist enjoyed the few shocked faces. "Unfortunately it was hard to learn what really went done but I hear he has several Spirits under him. I am sure they can be persuaded to speak up."
*Woom! Woom!* Two powerful waves of magic put pressure down on the old man. One from the upper floors and one from the man formerly on the Ballist.
The situation inside was turning increasingly different than what the duo left it. But that didn't mean it was sunshine and roses for them.

Getting involved in a feud??-
.
Instead of going somewhere really appropriate for the talk they just shot the shit a little in the parking lot. He was not under any impression that the Gorgon was interested in him sexually but more of trying to really get the remedies she needed and any other cure herself.
She was also waiting for more of her people to arrive after getting a tip about an ambush. She warned Rexford trouble might occur but he didn't act overly concerned since his enemies were not that many as far as he knew.
'I smell a change in the wind!' The Wolf Spirit thought to him. 'Several of them are coming from the east!'
" Hmm?" Folding his arms he pulled the repaired pistol out for safety. "I can see them at least." Staring up and looking at the various figures coming in hot, he was not overly worried because of the parking lot itself. 'This still counts as the property of the shopowner so we should be safe.'
Various women with different stages of change close to that of a bird came down. Some had wings for arms, some had wings out of their backside with large wingspans, and some had bird feet instead of regular ones.
The worse had entire chickenheads and lack of intelligence by the way others held chains that restrained them. It was an unusual sight that might have made the would-be Champion laugh if not for the wave of mental torment that wafted off of them all.
"Hello there, I hope you have some business with me that is lucrative just like my new friend here?" Rexford smiled as he bluffed his way to at least disarming them a little. 'I have a few escape paths ready but that wouldn't be good to just leave the Gorgon Liadan behind.'
"Oh by the goddess you are a crazy one." Liadan mumbled as she expected him to book it just like that. 'Where are they ?! I need some backup to at least make it out of here safely!'
Worrying about those in her tribe was foolish at this current time. She was after all possibly about to be ripped apart by all these birdbrains.
"Like you can help us, don't be foolish human!" A member of the.. flock said in anger. By her simple admission, Rexford assumed now that they were not human and actually some type of bird monster. "Just get out of the way and you get to live!"
'Rexford, these are under the effects of Qi Deviation!' The Mini version of himself shouted quickly. He was trying to earn some goodwill to get him to start talking to him again. 'It won't be hard to cure the weaker affected ones but for the strong ones you can at least slow the progress down!'
"Just Qi Deviation?" He said out loud while cocking his head to the side. "So... if you are cured from screwing yourself over this can be over?" Running his mind through QI Deviation and it's effects he remembered they should be going crazy.
"Cawww!Caw!" The sounds of the heavily changed ones caught the attention of the would-be Champion. That counted as going crazy as far ash e was concerned.
"Don't speak as if it is that easy human!" The same loudmouth from before spoke. Even gripping some daggers tightly. The fluctuations of a Body Tempering Cultivator trying to break into the Condensation Realm could be felt.
"You are really bad for your tribe?? if they wish to keep living." It was low-key a threat but he was trying to point out the little weakling should keep quiet. "How about I treat her first and then we set up a time for the rest of you?"
"You can't do that!" The Gordon shouted as a few of her snakes came alive.
"Yeah, we are not dumb enough to trust you." The same loudmouth shouted louder than anyone else. She smiled as an idea came to her little brain. "If you kill her first we might consider it!"
A few gave her weird looks with an older one still in control getting out a collar and chanins. Just in case she went crazy like the rest of them.
"Yeah, but I made a business deal with her already." Rexford smirked as he let his cultivation out some to apply pressure. "There is enough to go around for everyone when making some deals, don't you think?"
