Week 1 Residential Part 8 Some people have to cause trouble for themselves

"Don't ignore me!" Chad snapped. Seeing how confused and dazed the guy who pissed his girl off and now was just ignoring him, well it just pissed him off to. "Grr! Hey!" Impulse wanted him to grab hold of Rexford and start shaking him.

"We should hurry up so we can go to dinner before partying. The karaoke food might not be good." Cecilia suggested.

His backup boys started hyping Chad up. Not wanting to disappoint them, Chad started thinking he was something else. One should never underestimate the various forms of peer pressure.

No matter the age.

As well as stupidity for picking a fight with someone you don't know to make someone else happy.

Rexford was trying to figure out what was going on with the miniature version of himself. In front of the little thing, was a small clear outline of a humanoid. Well, it looked like a person for the most part, but gender was undetermined.

The same type of silhouette type he saw when looking at Destiny.

*Ping!* A Spirit Enhancing Pill popped. The energy flew into the silhouette adding more of an outline to it. A golden hue shone intermittently.

"Kick his ass!" One of the lackeys yelled outside.

"Hmm?" As Rexford paid close attention to that, Chad made his move. A sloppy jab went out. The boy had no form and never looked to be in any real fight before. Always getting others to do it for him most likely. 'Not gonna let it take the pills!'

*Thump!* A small noise was made on impact. The teen's fist was bruised almost strained from the punch. Flesh against solid stone will kind of do that. It would have been close to hitting steel if he was not using Qi to suppress the Body Refining to be normalized.

"Did.. did you just try to punch me cupcake? You should let me teach you how to really fight." Rexford sneered leaning forward. Seeing the expression on Chad's face he figured it would be too soon to pull him over from the useless side. Best to build a bit of a good image with this one maybe. "I mean... it felt like a decent hit!" His voice was loud and carried well on the street.

Quite a few people were watching the altercation go down. Not only were they jeering and mocking the young rich boy, but they were also mocking Michelle as well. Some of them went to the same school as the two and even the same college during the summer.

"Oh, this is gonna get so many hits on Street Stars!" Someone cheered from the crowd on their phone.

"Tch! Was just messing with you is all!" Chad said embarrassed. By the looks of most of his group, they believed it. But not the crowd. "Just get in the car and let's go, Michelle!" It was best to get far from the situation as possible. 'Well.. at least he didn't try to embarrass me. My girl must have kept something from me.'

"Come and ride with us!" Page blurted out excited.

Cecilia next to her looked down out of sight. Just then, she wanted to shout the same thing. But with her friend doing it, she saved a little respect for herself. Especially with how she was just against Rexford coming with a few minutes ago.

"You sure he is just some loser Cece?"

"I.. don't really know him that well ok!" She pouted looking away. "We should just hurry and get something to eat!"

Rexford got in the passenger seat saying nothing really. His phone was already in hand as he made a few purchases after verifying the funds on the card. Oh did he spend money! A better phone, a laptop, a desktop, some clothes, High Protein Food, as well as a few subscription plans to help decompress.

The different media platforms were a must as well as some stock for it. Small Tech companies and Medical innovations that looked close to the ones he knew about back home were purchased.

Considering those were the only ones he could remember at that time, it was well worth it. The small notion and a conversation he had with Leroy popped up when looking at the Medical innovations.

Leroy was talking him into taking a few more medical classes back home. Not just keeping the Medical & Life Insurance license he had for add-ons business-wise but ones that would allow training to be a doctor in a few years.

But Rexford the same as them could only learn so much in their life. But now, his mind was fresher than ever with memory increasing at a noticeable rate. It would be a disservice to not branch out.

The Medical Field was one of the biggest businesses no matter where you go. Plus when he went back to his Dimension, everything that he learned would be quite beneficial.

"Really need to unwind..." Rexford put the phone away after purchasing essential M.D. books to read. The cost was high for quick delivery of so many. But it was a start. Closing his eyes, he went over the various cultivation available to learn and to distribute to those who were close to him in the future. "...need more people."

Page and Cecilia gave each other a look not really knowing what he was talking about. The person who drove the car they were in said nothing as well.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

In the opposite car, Michelle was grumbling and barely kept herself from getting into an argument with Chad. Chad was rubbing his hand tenderly dealing with her voice. He almost miss stepped when provoking Rexford.

.

Restaurant-

.

Pulling up to the gaudy gold exterior restaurant, Rexford just received a message from the Bo Family. They were wanting to meet sooner than later to discuss some matters. Giving the address of the place after getting there, he stepped out of the car with the others.

"Welcome!" The staff greeted them. A bunch of young women bowed in synch. A lot of training had to have gone into getting that downright. "Please, enjoy your stay!"

The smile and octave of the voice were that of cheerleaders. Most of them were ex-cheerleaders by the looks of it.

'Hmm, all women but quite a few of the young rich people are females wasting money. Why don't they have another group that is all attractive men? What a waste of marketing potential!' Money was the only thing on his mind currently. 'Maybe I should go to some caves right quick and run qi to find mineral deposits? Oh, there has to be a good pawn shop looking for gold nearby. Not to forget I can probably find lost people with the darker techniques.'

Smiling to himself, Rexford pulled out his phone to check for stuff on the housing market in the area. Two were nearby with a third one just a jog away in terms of decent size storefront.

As he stood to the side just thinking of ways to make more money and what to not do when opening a restaurant/hotel in this city, Chad was making a ruckus.

"I want your biggest and best hall."

The followers stand back smug and ready to enjoy the ride of a free meal as usual.

"Hey, why not go down to something a little lower?" Rexford interrupted. "Think of the size we have. Not that large of a group. We would just take up staff for no reason and since this looks to be all who are coming that is just overkill. Don't you want to talk to those who are here at the table instead of yelling all around the room?"

"Tch!" Michelle was wanting the best since that is what she was accustomed to. 'This prick is ruining my birthday!'

"Your friend brings up a good point." The Host said. He leaned forward a little more to whisper with a relieved expression since he didn't want to disappoint the young rich group. "The King's Hall is currently occupied by a very important man for entertaining his distinguished guests."

"You know what, you are right. The Queen's Hall would fit just right." Chad said. He looked over his shoulders not seeing any indicator the others heard. "It is your birthday after all Michelle, perfect for my young Queen."

"Honey the King's Hall is so much better though." Michelle whined. "I want the King's Hall! It's my birthday!" The brat was starting to be a real pain.

"Yeah man, it's her birthday!" His lackeys shouted. They were not helping the situation at all. "No way you don't have the pull to get the best place, bro! Chad's got this!"

"Honey...." Michelle rubbed his chest giving him a look. Her hip rubbed his leg to entice him further.

"Ye..yeah!" Having his ego stroke, despite himself, he missed the chance to not have a problem. "Do me a favor man, my father runs a five-star hotel. I'll owe you one in the future if you help out."

The Host looked at Rexford to see if he could talk some sense into the young socialite.

Rexford walked over placing a hand on Chad getting his full attention. The others were unable to really hear as he talked. His phone was set to record for certain matters later.

"What is it?" Chad felt Michelle pull away in a huff. Cecilia and Page talking to her.

"Bruh, the pussy that good she can talk to you like that and get you in trouble?" Rexford looked on disappointed. Barely holding back a look of disgust at the whipped guy. "Man.. are you even getting head at least?"

"Shh! Watch your mouth man!" Chad looked at the Host who had a pleading look still.

"She is not worth it.. and you know it. Shit, your homies are about to cause an issue if they don't cool it too." Thumb hiked back, Rexford pointed at the shit friends. "You have the money she has money, well your parents do really. Can't enjoy it if she gets you in trouble. Or they get you fucked up. Think really hard about the fact he said an important person was eating with guests."

"What the hell is he whispering about?" The blonde-haired lackey asked the others. They shrugged not really caring either way. They just wanted to go eat for free. "I'll take care of this shitty host!"

He moved to pass Rexford and Chad. Bumping into the latter a little. Design to get his boss's attention.

"Ahh.. guest.." The Host looked up.

"Cut the crap! Get your boss out here!" He struck the Host harshly. "Get someone who can make a decision out here to do the talking!"

"Forget it, let's go somewhere else!" Cecilia was feeling really uncomfortable. Michelle was just now calming down a little. "Making trouble in a place like this is just a dumb move."

"It's okay, at the worst we can ask Chad's father for help." Michelle said while tossing her hair back. "He knows people, so it will work out if we need to do some payoffs."

"Well..." Cecilia was starting to get bothered as well. Despite the fact if she would have spoken more they would have definitely moved to a different venue. ".. we can just.." Seeing her BF"s face she wavered and kept quiet.

"Haaa, can't help with stupid." Rexford said mostly toward Michelle's direction. Making eye contact with the other two didn't really help the situation. "Cecilia, I am sure your mother wouldn't want you involved with a problem like this. You said you were going to a party not witness to an assault case. This little bit.. I mean brat is not worth getting in trouble with."

He walked over staring the girl down. A hand offered as he was quite clear. She should leave with him.

"I am not witnessed to an assault, I didn't see anything." Cecilia looked away from the Host. "My mother has nothing to worry about."

"You're trying to take Cecilia away before the party even begins!" Michelle stepped in front pulling her BFF away. Giving Chad a look to do something.

"You can leave if you want, but Cecelia wants to stay." Seeing the reluctant look she had to play her trump card. "Cece is my bestie, she won't leave on my birthday! Right?"

"Since you guys still want to hang out, of course, I'll stay." Cecilia said demurely. She looked at Page who shrugged not willing to leave the two either. "Go home yourself, and tell my mom not to worry."

"You hear her. Off you go!" Michelle said disdainfully.

"Hehe, ok." Rexford pulled his phone out stopping the recording. He sent the file to Mrs.Abari and turned to leave. "I tried, you can only blame yourself for what happens next. Chad, when you are done dealing with little girls, let me know. Might be hope for you yet."

Chad was easily controlled and would help learn a few places worth checking out. Plus the connection to the party scene was never bad.

Passing a few suits who were security, and a bald head man with a scar, Rexford wonder if he could get a table to get a nice meal before people from the Bo Family arrived.

*Shine!* Leaving them to their own devices, a gold light left from Page, Cecilia, Chad, and Michelle. It entered Rexford storing away in his Internal Space. Black light left from him and entered the four in return. This changes the course of what was originally meant to happen in regard to him.

'Now for this Agent stuff. Is it something like those I hired back home but on the spiritual level or something else?'
