Few Days Later-
.
One morning, Blake Cross came to pick up Rexford and Luigi. Old Bo not wanting to wait until the evening to do the procedure.
Luigi spent the previous night just meditating to help work through his anger and get over the insanity of what he saw when diving into his old memories. Working for Boss Cosimo for the last few years proved he could follow orders really well. But also meant he accumulated a lot of stress and anxiety over the years.
A good soldier. A good bodyguard for the future. In the present, someone that helped supply Rexford with enough energy for refining the Tortured Mind Refining Arts.
'So this is Retire Military Sector.. how massive.' Rexford admired the architecture as they moved in this part of the city. 'Man Hector would kill to see this place, nothing like this exists back home. Need to get a tour later so I can sketch it for him. Good present for when I meet up with him in the future.'
"You like the place?" Luigi asked in a whisper.
"Yeah. Have a friend who got me into architecture a bit. Just the way things are built interests me as well. In fact, we all like landscapes and photos for some reason. Something about preserving an image beyond just our fading memories."
In the room they were heading to, Phan Bo and Cassandra Bo were waiting. Having a few discussions still about what happened at the eatery place and how Cassandra handled the situation with her family members.
"Greetings Rexford." Cassandra said calmly. She also gave a salute reciting one in return. "Everyone is doing fine and training has gotten better. Even Grandpa is breathing and moving better."
"That is good." Rexford pulled out a scroll he prepared this morning while training. It was a technique to complement the Bo Family's skill as well as fix the problems it had. "A show of good faith Cassandra for the funds."
Cassandra read it over understanding a good bit of it due to her new accomplishments. But all the same, she passes it to her grandfather who had a better understanding of the family's martial art.
"This..." Phan Bo felt his heart clench in joy. Looking at his granddaughter and then to Rexford he didn't know how to proceed. Just putting it away until he could speak with her alone as well as his son to make a final decision. "Thank you for your great kindness, Master Rexford. I will never forget it."
"We are allies, I can do this much." Rexford looked him over eyes glowing. The old man followed the orders well from what he could tell over the last few days. "Healthy eating habits to heal a broken body, your family technique hurt the lungs and kidneys too much and it only got worse over time. The pills should help make up for the lost training all these years from pushing yourself."
"The elders mention this but it was worth the risk. Any Martial Technique was worth the risk all these years. Surely you can understand?" Phan Bo wrapped up his parchment that was worked on before they entered. "Given time, we can figure out how to completely take care of it and make it a full legacy for our clan."
"With the other ingredients brought over, I have finished after working most of the night." Rexford raised his hand releasing two boxes. Inside were over a million Spirit Enhancing Pills. With five hundred of the Vortex Spirit Enhancing Pills. The volume matched what he thought was a good ratio. A portion left for himself and those he trained were kept of course. 'Little mini-me has gotten rid of at least 2/3 of it though. I wonder what those pills will taste like when done?'
A good portion of the pills he planned to put into a man-made lake to create a Qi spring. If he found a good place to make a lake that is. Zoning permits are quite the thing to get.
"This is a great boon to the Bo Family and the two countries as a whole. Please accept this." Phan Bo passed over a check. Rexford took it politely and stored it away, his eyes glanced at the number. This was a good deal to make for him. "The boxes.. can we keep them as well?"
"Yeah. But it'll only work for one who has taken the stronger Vortex Enhancing Pills so I suggest keeping it to yourself."
"I can hand this over with a good conscience." Phan Bo pulled out a set of keys. "This is a gift from me personally. The top-level house in the Long Beach area. It was a gift from the richest man of New York City given to me by my son."
"I thank you. I will use it well." Rexford wouldn't say no to a nice house. Plus the open place that surrounded the area would help even further. All that water definitely was what he was looking for considering the level of Heat and Light that came with his breakthroughs. "I will place it as the training location of the Sarvadevamandir. Have to make a dojo sign and a roster list later."

"Hmm?" Phan Bo hummed questioningly. "Who is this by the way?"
"He is the first student of mine." Rexford grinned. Then something came to mind. "Oh, since the arcane martial circles do not know of me, mind setting something up to help me qualify officially? Rather not have some arrogant fools overstep themselves."
"I will get that in order." Cassandra said quickly. "A few competitions and the like need to be done. That should be no problem. Just.. don't show off too much."
"No promises." Rexford could not promise that as he found a way to stop his qi flow for short moments. It was the best way to train those weaker than him as well as fight without causing trouble. "As long as no one throat punches me we won't have a problem."
"Haa, for the last time it was an accident." Cassandra rubbed her temple annoyed. "How was I supposed to know you touched me there by accident with the way you act?"
"Well training is training, personal preference is everything else." Rexford's eyebrow twitched. "I told you to be mindful of someone grabbing you there and flipping you on your ass. If you do it again.. I will break an arm."
His eyes slightly warning as he spoke. Not caring about their location as a factor.
"It won't happen again."Cassandra knew she was at fault. Especially considering she throat-punched him after the session ended and he was helping her up. "With that thick neck, I doubt you felt anything. Felt like punching steel!"
A small conversation on etiquette afterward before they moved onto more demanding work.
Rexford and Luigi made sure to solve things at the gate and register them before moving in and out of the nice place he now owned. After checking the rooms and selecting one for themselves each, it was about time to spar a little more.
*Bring! Bring!* Rexford's phone went off abruptly.
"Hold on." Answering it, he was surprised it was Cece. 'What could she possibly want right now?'
"My mom said you were alright but I had to check for myself." Cece was on her bed laid back feeling an odd sensation. Her thoughts drifted to Rexford the last few days over an over again. "I.. I want to invite you to dinner. Michelle and Page wanted to apologize for not helping the situation before."
"I don't really care. Since I was able to set up a business deal out of it, as well as get a great work out I am all good." Rexford moved towards the door checking some Glyphs over. The number of protection setups the "Butcher" knew was crazy. He just lacked the imagination to use them in different ways. "I will come if I am able to bring people. If not, tell them I am busy."
"That is not a problem." Cece wondered who he would bring. Was it the girl who her mother said the phone he used before, or was it someone else? "What are their names so.."
"Just put down three guests." Rexford cut her off. He had more important matters to attend to currently. "You caught me at a bad time, oh..." Picking a few of the pictures of the place he snapped earlier, he sent them to Mrs.Arabi ".. tell your mother to check her phone to."
*Boop!* The phone was hung up and put away. Luigi was waiting to start the spar. Only slightly nervous considering this was off-putting with the experience gap as cultivators and the overconfidence he felt from breaking through the last few days.
The spar was beneficial for Luigi more than Rexford in the physical sense. But A change in his cultivation was definitely worth it for Rexford. The two said goodnight and went to their separate rooms after a few hours.
.
Mini-Me-
.
Rexford was making pills with one hand and reading with another. Since he was in New York, it was a lot easier to find stuff online in the local vicinity.
The book was on Gold deposits, a gambling business for most but not someone with his eyes and growing senses.
"Huh!?" Rexford felt a pull into his Internal Space. The Mini version of him was shaking like a leaf. "Well, I don't feel a change so.."
As if his words were the trigger, Rexford was overcome with pain. He blacked out in an instant.
Sometime later, a voice called out to him. It sounded very much like his own. With a muddled brain, he was greeted by the mini him actually moving and talking in a language he could understand.
"Well.. that.. was unpleasant."
"Yeah.. it really sucked." The mini said. "So we should get our bearings so we can talk."
"Uh uh.." Rexford leaned back on the grass looking up. The golden black light from the Black Gold Vortex looked brighter but also further away somehow. Along to the side, revealed the internal space had increased to about a 150x150. "The grass feels so real."
"It is real." The mini floated in the air around him. "It is natural life produced from the qi refined by the vortex. We need to never let anyone know about this of course."
"Huh, who in the world would I possibly tell?" Rexford asked bothered. His face went to the grass sniffing it. "It smells so.. earthy. Is this because I ate the dirt and all that?"
"Yes. But if others knew you could do this, it would be a disaster." The mini was very serious and the feelings were transmitted to Rexford directly.
"When I had to compress and refined all the information when taking over.. it went into you I take it? All the excess I couldn't store right away and that was really discarded?"
"Yes. It was a good move and leaves us with such potential to grow. Enough that Destiny is more willing to let things be. Which is good considering our friends are very... volatile and in bad situations."
"So you are talking to it, Destiny.. that can not be good." Rexford was worried that the information regarding his friends would send him off the deep end. 'Ask about them later, no need to do so now. They should be in danger of going into a coma if I am not making progress.'
But the mini knew the fear he had and quickly solved it.
"It was only to inquire about plans for us. Nothing terrible. In fact news about the others as a gift." The mini passed the information over mentally. "Payment for what needs to change for the next Dimension. No, we are not leaving now, it is for later."
"Haa, Hector's picked setting place in his Dimension already. The Deity Tiamat has an eye on him. I have to stop this from occurring." Grim determination plastered his face at the thought of any of them getting shunted through Dimensions.
"Grow stronger and find out. That was very draining for us." The mini version didn't look bad off at all. "The process of blending the different Cultivations has finished. Without creating to much of a strain on our mind."
