(Leon James PoV)
I didn't know how to feel while I parked the vehicle and got out of the vehicle with my wife. We walked towards the gathering. It seems that almost everyone dear to Letty was here. Almost. Dom was nowhere to be found. I guess with all the feds here, he can't even get near.
We paid our respects and prayers for my dear departed friend. Mia was present in the front row. When she saw us approach, she stood up. There was sorrow in her eyes but she still smiled as we approached.
"Leon, it's so nice to see you. It's been a long time. I just hoped we would meet again under other circumstances." She just gave me a hug and she hugged my wife too.
"It's been fifteen years Mia; you have all grown up. I can't believe Letty's gone; you have my condolences." I said to her with emotions surging inside me. "Where's Dom?" I asked while looking around to find him.
"I am not sure he will be here, Leon. I heard he is still on the run. The feds are all still looking for him." She just said while looking at the feds and her expression just turned sombre. "Excuse me, I got to go" she just smiled at us and bid farewell.
When I looked in the direction which Mia looked, I saw Brian O'Connor standing at a distance while talking to his co-worker. It seems that he got reinstated into the FBI even after he let us walk that day. And clearly Mia isn't too happy to see him.
'Sigh, some cuts run deep', while I hated Brian for being the reason why we had to be on the run for quite some time, I also knew that what we did was not exactly the morally right practices. Well I guess it was probably for the best that I didn't see Dom today, I don't know how he will act after seeing me after this long. After all I did ghost all of them. My wife just rubbed my arms, as if she knew what I was thinking. I just kissed her head and decided to head back after talking to some more friends and acquaintances around here. Sigh... I really needed a drink.
(Miguel James PoV);
I was praying with every fibre of faith I had in the god, to not to mess up the plot. And it seems that he had heard my prayers. My father didn't meet Dom and this was good news. Probably fate knew I was no longer taking the backseat in this world's matters.
The classes ended without any major incidents, and I saw my mother waiting for me outside. 'I really needed to get my license or a bicycle soon' I mentally added as I got in the car after greeting mom. As I sat in the backseat, I noticed that my mother was not her usual cheerful self. "Are you alright, mom? You look a bit sad.", I asked her.
"It's nothing, honey. We just attended a funeral of a friend.", my mother said, brushing me off. I did not press her further. As I watched the scenery pass by, I remembered something about the events that happened this morning. i had received 500 mission coins and I could exchange it for real money. I really forgot about that when I saw my Nano Armour.
'AI, can you please explain how exactly the mission coins can be exchanged?' I asked the AI in a bored tone.
The AI started to describe, "Sir, the mission coins can be exchanged for any form of currency except for the crypto currencies. The major advantage of this currency is that it has equal values in every currency."
If I was a bit uninterested before, the last statement got my undivided attention. If I heard it right, I now have a way to earn any form of currency through my missions and that was a loophole I can exploit in this reality. I just have to accept the reward in the currency with the best value at the time. If my memory served right, I just have to exchange it to Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD) that was priced at approximately 3 dollars per each KWD.

"What is the exchange rate AI?" I asked with a bit of an excitement.
"The rate of exchange is two human currencies per one Mission coin sir. Which currency do you want to exchange the mission coins for sir?" the AI asked.
Without any further delay I asked the AI to convert the entire coins to KWD and deposit it in my bank account.
"Sir, I have transferred the entire money to your account sir. I have already converted it to dollars via legitimate channels and your money trail is clean sir. On record it comes from legitimate source. Your current balance is 4000 USD sir."
Previously I had around seven hundred dollars in my account made for me by my parents. Now I had four grands. 'Whoever told money doesn't buy happiness is wrong.' Even though I belonged to a well-off family in my both lives, I never earned anything. Even though this was blood money, having something in my account that was earned by me felt good.
My mood was better when I reached home. My father was already at the house and by the looks of it, he had a drink or two. It was understandable considering he just attended the funeral of a friend. I left my parents alone and I just went upstairs.
I just completed some homework I had and decided to take a quick nap as i had to carry out the first part of my plan tonight. i woke up around dinner time and went downstairs to have dinner.
The dinner was not eventful. As night fell, I decided to carry out my plans. I had to meet Mia and hopefully Dominic too.
My parents went to bed early and I made sure they were sound asleep. I locked the door of my room from inside and got out of the window and slipped onto the terrace. I looked around and saw no one. The night was dark and quiet. I climbed down skillfully, using the drainpipe as a support. I landed softly on the ground and ran towards the street.
After a while I was near the main road. Even though it was near ten o'clock, there was enough rush. I entered a nearby ATM to withdraw some cash and I hailed a cab to Mia's location.
As I saw the iconic 722 E Kensington Rd house, I felt a mix of emotions. On any other day or occasion, I would have heard Danza Kuduro playing in my head. But now, the only music was the symphony of the crickets and the occasional cars passing by. The house was more than just a building. It was a symbol of family, loyalty, and adventure. It was the home of Dominic Toretto and his family.
I just walked towards the garage as I saw light in there. I walked towards the garage and sure enough, I heard the Toretto siblings having a conversation as I approached the garage. It seems I was in luck today.
Taking a deep breath, I just knocked the garage door.

Inside the garage, Mia and Dom was having a conversation. It was a long time since they met. But it seems that the happiness of reunion had an undertone of sadness and grief.
"I gotta find Letty's Killers Mia. I am gonna find them and make them pay for it." Dom said in his gruff voice with suppressed anger flaring inside him.
"You have to keep a low-profile Dom. I too want to see those bastards get their punishment, but it seems that every cop in the city is looking to get a piece of you Dom. You will walk straight into their trap Dom and you will not see the light of day for god knows how many years.", Mia said in an anxious manner.
" Don't worry Mia, I will be careful." Dom tried to calm his anxious sister down.
Unbeknownst to them there was a figure approaching the garage. The figure was none other than Miguel. He went near the garage and knocked the garage door.
Both Mia and Dom were startled. Dom took a wrench and hid in a corner while Mia opened the garage door. She was expecting a cop but in front of them was a boy who looked like a teenager.
"Who are you and how can I help you?" Mia asked in a cautious tone while still being on high alert.
"Relax, I am not with the cops or your enemy. My name is Miguel and I am here to talk about something important with both of you." He said with a smile and hearing that Dom just walked out of hiding while still holding the wrench. Miguel was amused seeing this.
"What important things do you have to say, kid?" Dom asked the boy in front of him.
"Mr. Dominic Toretto, as I said there is no reason to be alarmed, I am here because we both have the same goal. And as for what information do I have for you. It's about your wife Letty's death or shall I say murder."
With that statement, it was as though the entire surroundings fell into pin drop silence. Dominic and Mia had mixed expressions on their faces. But Dom soon recovered from his shock.
"Tell me kid. Tell me everything you know." He said in his gruff voice. He walked closer to Miguel, his eyes piercing through the boy's eyes as if he was looking into his soul.
