I was absolutely rendered speechless by what I heard. There were a lot of responses that I expected from her, but I never predicted this.

"Penny, I know I am attractive and friendly, but I don't think that we know each other well enough that you should be caring that much....and you weren't talking about me, were you?", I knew something was wrong midway through my speech as she started looking at me like she was seeing a fool. She just stared at me and just confirmed my doubts by shaking her head.

'Oh wow...now that took a turn.' I thought while being obviously embarrassed about how I thought she was interested in me. "Sigh... Do you want to talk about this?", I just asked her and she just looked conflicted and finally just nodded.

We went to the same park that we met this morning and sat down. After a moment of silence, she started to talk. "You know, I've always been a bit of a loner when I was in high school. I had 'weird' hobbies and the only men I think I ever loved were my father and my brothers. I never really felt any attraction towards the other boys at my school. I thought maybe I just hadn't met the right guy yet, and that's why I was single. But then, one day, I saw Tanya. Everything became so weird from there. I knew that I was a lesbian and I realized that it wasn't the right guy I was waiting for; it was the right woman." She just paused and took another deep breath. "But reaching out to Tanya... that's been difficult. I've always admired her from afar, but I've never been able to express my feelings to her. I love her, you know? But it's hard when you're not sure how the other person will react. It's even harder when you're worried about how the world will react. But despite all that, I can't deny my feelings for her. That's why I was pissed when I saw her getting close with you." I could see her eyes glisten and all I could do was to comfort her.

"I didn't know Penny, and don't worry about Tanya being close with me. I just helped her out today and she was just being grateful. So, don't worry about that." She just hummed in response. "I know you are worried about getting a no as a response, and that's natural. Even though I can't claim to be a love expert, I can tell you this. Love is all about taking some chances. You keeping your love for Tanya a secret and not telling her this might be the worst decision that you will always regret. If you just tell her, what's the worst she could do? She might probably tell you off and Tanya doesn't seem the kind to humiliate you for being different. So just don't hold back."

Hearing this made Penny emotional. After what seemed to be an hour of sobbing and comforting, she finally looked relaxed.

"Thanks a lot Miguel. I really needed someone to talk to, I guess.", She just said with a smile.

"Well, Penny, I don't know if this will be of any use to you, this is her phone number.", I gave her my phone that had Tanya's number saved.

"Wow, now that's really comforting. She just gave her number to a guy.", she said with a crestfallen expression making me inwardly groan as I regretted showing it to her at all.

"But thanks, it is useful." She then proceeded to text it to her number from my phone." Well, I guess I really owe you one Miguel." She said after getting up and giving me a hug.

I looked at the retreating figure of the girl. 'Sigh, I guess it's not easy for everyone.' I got up and started to walk back home. When I got back, my parents were already there.

"How was the party, Miguel? Did you have fun.... meet someone cute?", she asked while nudging me. I just laughed at it and gave her the pouch that I had made for her.

"Well son, I really like the pouch but I really hope this isn't you coming out of the closet about something, is it?" Either my mom was just faking it or there was real anxiety on her face. 'What's wrong with all these people? It's just a damn pouch.'

"No mom... I don't bat for the other side, if that's what you meant." Hearing this, my mom just sighed in relief." I was just joking, son." She then walked away. I just shook my head helplessly.

As I got to my room, I finally had some time to think. Now, I really have some real issues here. Letty's funeral is going to be held tomorrow and it's really possible that dad might go there. I do have the choice of taking the backseat here, but I don't think 'fate' is going to let me have it my way. There is great chance that something might change and my dad or worse my family will be on the line of fire.

So, I will have to do something. After all, this life is just a gift and I really had some guilt for taking their son's body in this reality. The least I could do was to protect them from what will be coming.

There is also the fact that Owen Shaw actually comes as a package deal as his badass brother Deckard will also be after me and my family if something happens to his little brother. That would also mean that at some point there will be government attention on us.

While I was brainstorming some plans, I remembered about the AI. I mean it won't hurt to ask it if it really can help me in some ways here. After all it's created by some higher beings. I prompted the AI. 'AI, can you actually help me in finding some people?'.

Hearing my prompt AI spoke." Sir, actually I can help you." I was startled. 'How can you help AI?' I was really stoked to hear that the AI can help and if it can, that means I will have less work to do.

"Sir, I am actually able to connect to the internet and most other networks of your wish sir. I can indeed find people by using that." The AI said in its cold and emotionless tone.

' And you are telling me this now?' I really didn't know if I have to be happy that it can do that or be angry at it for not letting me know before. If the AI really has that strength to do that, I am really with the possession of the greatest power that anyone in this world would pay any price to have. Information. I have the biggest reconnaissance and intel gathering tool in my possession and I didn't know it.

"Well sir, you never wished to know what I can do and I am instructed to help you only if you wish to access my help sir. I have the ability to access any networks and I can access, monitor or modify any data within the network sir. But I have some limitations sir. For example, I cannot access heavily encrypted off-grid black-site networks such as those used by some high-end military establishments. These networks are simply too complex to be breached by me as the human brain is incapable of bearing the load of the process. Additionally, using this feature can cause physical exertion, headaches, and even coma stages if used for extended periods. For low level hacks there won't be such problems sir."

I wasn't bummed out by what I heard at all. I would have no big issues if I use it sparingly and most of the data that I might need belonged to the scope which the AI can access. If I ever unlock a hacking skill or learn it by myself in the future, I won't be needing it for much. I really was elated to know this.

' AI you said you can find people as well as data right. But are you able to transcribe it and send it to my PC so that I can take printouts?", I asked the AI.

"Yes, sir I am capable of doing that." The AIs answer was just as I wished and I decided to get down to work immediately.

'AI, access everything that you have on Braga and his backers. Can you do that and also find me Leticia Ortiz and get me any kind of evidence that can show that she's alive." I sat down in front of my computer and commanded the AI while powering my pc on.

"Your wish is my command sir." The AI replied. Suddenly I felt my head heat up a bit. First it was just a bit warm but it soon rose to feverishly hot and then my head felt like it was having a migraine. After what seemed like an eternity, it all ceased. I was sweating and damn that doesn't feel good at all. I really need to be careful while using this. And then my desktop just had an additional file.

I clicked it open and I was really surprised. There was the entire detail about Braga and his MO. Most of it came from some secure Interpol databases and some old reports from DEA. Sure enough, I couldn't find much about Owen Shaw's involvement in his cartel.

What was more disappointing, was that there was nothing on Letty's current situation except for the fact that the body was moved by some operatives whose trail ran cold. It was as if nothing after the crash existed.' Why is there no data on where Letty currently is AI?' I asked with a disappointed tone.

"Sir, Leticia Ortiz is currently off the grid and it seems that they managed to evade any form of surveillance. Additionally, their networks are really heavily encrypted. It is most likely she is in a black site sir. "

While I was expecting there to be security, I didn't expect this kind of sophistication. But the search was not in vain. I now have information on Braga and his men. Now him pretending as a Braga's employee won't be effective. All I now have to do is to find the right guy to give it to. After some considerations, I knew just the guy to whom I can pass on this information to.
