Hunkered down behind the concealment of walls, Miguel silently surveilled his targets. The two vigilant guards keeping watch were on high alert, a clear indication that the house was not empty, and he needed to act swiftly. His AI timer diligently reminded him that he had approximately two hours remaining—a sufficient window to execute a 'hit and run' mission.
'AI, identify those individuals on guard and hack into their systems,' Miguel instructed, his gaze never leaving the vigilant guards. While it might be relatively straightforward to deal with these individuals individually, the presence of the guard dog, capable of sensing intruders and alerting the guards, complicated matters. Miguel felt the all-too-familiar headache creeping in as the AI worked its digital magic. "Ugh, every time. I should really learn some hacking skills myself," he thought with a hint of weariness, his mind accustomed to the discomfort of the process.
"Sir, I've identified the individuals and their affiliations," the AI reported in its emotionless tone. "Their cell phones are tapped into, and I've analysed their call records and current cell locations. There are at least ten assailants with known affiliations to Russian and Ukrainian gangs, based on my calculations." 'AI, can you hack into one of their phones and create a distraction for the dog? I need to take the guys out after taking that dog down. Also check for surveillance.'
"Sir the house has surveillance set up for perimeters. I am hacking into it and creating the loop for the video output." The AI said and Miguel's head buzzed for a second. "Sir, we have access to their cameras. Accessing visuals now." The AI played the live footage from the cctvs installed around and inside the house.
That gave Miguel enough data to scout the area and formulate plans for them. There were two people at the front with the dog, two at the back entrance. Inside the house, there six people one guarding a room, two at the hall, one at a room with surveillance and other two were putting on some kind of plastic wrap in the basement room. Except for the last two the rest had semis and automatics and hand guns. The ones in the basement looked like some medical professionals and they had the lowest threat level.
There were three people sedated lying on the beds arranged. Two of them were male and one was a female but they all were minors. 'Damn, these monsters.' Miguel was angry and now had a newfound motivation to eliminate his enemies.
'This is going to be a long day,' Miguel mentally noted with a sigh. He knew the mission ahead was filled with challenges. To gain the upper hand, he instructed his AI, 'Distract the dog with some irritating noise from the phone of the guy on my right.'
The AI promptly executed his command. The phones of the targeted guards began emitting a high-frequency noise, causing the dog to become visibly distracted. The canine, in a frenzy, pounced on the other guard, barking and biting at the phone, which left the guard struggling to manage the situation.
"What the fuck is going on… stop doing that you stupid dog." He said with great irritation and tried to take out the phone. That was my cue. There was at least ten meters between the guy on the left and right and the latter had his back turned towards the former. And both were distracted with one just watching the other calm the dog down.
Miguel moved stealthily towards the two distracted guards; his footsteps soundless as a shadow. When he closed in on the first guard, he acted with lightning speed, grabbing the man and swiftly covering his mouth to stifle any potential outcry. In a matter of seconds, Miguel silently instructed his AI to store the guard in the digital void. The man disappeared into the storage space, meeting his demise without uttering a sound.
With one threat eliminated, Miguel turned his attention to the other guard who was grappling with the agitated dog.
The man took the phone out of his pocket and as he couldn't stop the noise just throwed it away as he was very annoyed by the dog and his lack of capability to stop the high-pitched beep from it. 'Bad choice' Miguel thought as the dog went to fetch it. Seizing the opportune moment, Miguel moved with precision, swiftly grabbing the guard and consigning him to the same digital void that had claimed the first guard. In a matter of moments, the second guard met his silent demise.
The guard dog, now left to its own devices, appeared content with the discarded phone, unaware of the fates that had befallen its handlers. Miguel just didn't have the heart to kill the canine, but it will become a trouble if it alerts the others. So, he just went towards the dog and just hit it in a nerve point that it just fainted. 'Don't worry my canine friend, I will take you to an animal shelter later.' Miguel just carried the dog of the road and just laid him on the lawn of the house.

'Two down, eight to go.' He thought mentally while keeping his cool and suppressing his surging emotions about killing people. But strangely enough, if the emotions that he had during his first kills were panic and anxiety, now it was some kind of euphoria and he had to make sure that he wasn't addicted to this feeling.
He checked the CCTV footage and saw one of the men circling towards the front, probably to see why the dog was barking. Miguel quickly took cover behind the wooden fence of the house, out of sight. He had to act fast before the man alerted his comrades.
He heard the footsteps stop outside the fence. He peeked and saw the man looking around, confused. Before he could react, Miguel lunged at him and stabbed his neck with the blade. The man gasped and tried to resist, but Miguel was faster. He just hit the mans wind pipe and just put him into the space like his other compatriots.
Miguel moved to the back entrance to eliminate the last guard outside. Miguel just again spammed his ability of using his space as a murder means.
He used the old trick of calling him, distracting him, and grabbing him. The man answered the phone, and then felt a hand on his neck. That was his last memory. The guards were all take care of. All he had to do was to take care of the rest of the targets inside. There were at least four of them who were heavily armed and the only one isolated was the surveillance room guy.
Miguel knew that he had to be quick and silent if he wanted to take out the rest of the targets without being detected. He moved stealthily through the corridors, his nano armour giving him the confidence to take on any threat.
He came to the surveillance room and peered inside. The guard was sitting at his desk, his back to the door. Miguel opened the door and just pounced on the guy and put him into the space making the dead bodies in his space total up to five.
The easy part about the confrontations were over. Now he had only one choice. Take the others out by force. He had three more assailants and the guys in the basement were still prepping the room for the procedure. He took out an AK 47 that was in the possession of one of the guards and checked it for functionality. The tv was blaring and that gave him a breathing space and possible element of surprise. I checked the footage again the third guy was returning to his post while the other two were watching the TV. They were so sure that nobody would infiltrate and were relaxed.
Miguel just crouched and walked towards the hall without making any sound. He was like an apex predator hunting its preys. Miguel had a clean shot and he took it. Bang. There was chaos. The first shot was like a thousand-volt shock for them. The first shot hit the center mass of the first guy and he soon slumped dead. Miguel was too fast in operating the gun that the second guy too was dead in the next second. But the guy who went back to his post was soon to take cover. He returned fire with his Ak. But the nano armour was too good that none of them penetrated Miguel. Miguel just rolled over and took cover behind the couch. The guy was out of sight. 'AI, block every signal going out of this apartment.' He said to his AI to make sure that nobody was calling for reinforcements. His head ached.
He got out of the cover and moved towards the room that the third guy was using as hideout. there was no surveillance in that room and that meant he had to move blindly. But things don't go according to plans every time. The man was quite experienced and stormed out of the room by crashing the door. Miguel was caught off guard by the man storming out of the room and pinning him against the wall. He tried to break free, but the man was much stronger than he expected. The assailant tried to stab Miguel with a knife but his nano armour was not for decoration. The knife just deflected off and Miguel just took this opportunity and grabbed his face and chanted in his mind. 'Store'
The assailant vanished instantly. The fight was finally over. Miguel just stood up with some difficulty. The man had rammed him to the wall with great strength that, it nearly took the air out of him. He just took some deep breaths and decided to go down the basements to free the captured kids and get out of here before anyone else arrives.
He entered the basement and saw the medical operatives with terrified expressions upon seeing him. They had headphones on and were working in a soundproof room, isolated from the gunshots upstairs. He pointed his gun at them and they dropped to their knees, too scared to move or speak. From analyzing the entire setup, it was evident that this house was not a temporary setup and this was not their first time doing this. Even though they surrendered, in the books of Miguel they didn't deserve to live. He just put them out by hitting their heads with the Ak 47 and just killed them by sending them to the same place as their friends. His AI chimed indicating that the mission was a success. But he chose to ignore it for now as he had more pressing matters at hand.
He went up to the kids to check them. All of them were breathing and they were only sedated. When he was about to take the kids upstairs, he saw a binder on a chair. It had a lot of pages. He decided to just take it and look at it later. He just put it into his space and just decided to take the kids outside. He carried all the three children upstairs.
