The last comment from the lady got my attention. Movies, series, and me being at the center of everything. Now that I didn't see coming. Well, I do know of the novels and fanfictions where usually a person reincarnates into a world that is exactly a book, movie, or series with certain or no perks. Now that's a compensation that nobody can refuse if it is what I think it will be.

"Well, I suppose you are content with the nature of compensation, dear. As you just guessed, the world that you will be passed on to will be an amalgam of different fictional worlds that used to exist as just movies, series, or literature. But the worlds that you will be going to will be devoid of magical realism. Well, I know that's a let-down, but sorry, there won't be an owl finding you when you are eleven or a passage in the wardrobe. But there will be near-supernatural stuff going on down there." 'Well, that's really a let-down for a big Harry Potter fan like me. But I guess one should always try to be what one can get, and it is a very good deal.'

I was still hung up on my sorrow from my life before, but now this seems unreal and way too exciting. The only question is now what's the catch in all this. I mean, she did say it was a compensation. But if it is really one, she could just send me to one of the worlds where everything was perfect or I will potentially have a very comfortable life. Even though living in a movie world seemed very jolly and exciting, it also depended on what world I am getting a pass to. Even though most of the 'non-supernatural' worlds may contain some real psychos or some evil mastermind who would like to see the world burn. I mean the last statement about how the world I would be traveling to will have near-supernatural elements to it made me wonder if it is really a very safe and happy world. For example, if I am traveling to a world with a Christopher Nolan's Batman or Inception doesn't seem to be a good idea as she already made it clear that I will be at the very center of everything that takes place in that universe. So, I really needed clarification on what is really the world I am passing into will have.

As usual reading into my doubts, she laughed. "I can see how that would have been a problem for you, dear. Let's just say, there won't be such scenarios for you to handle there. While there will be some badass villains that you may need to take care of but still it will be facilitated by a complete guide like an AI that can let you gain a specific set of skills that would have taken you years to comprehend within minutes." Hallelujah… now that's a compensation that I dig. A reincarnation with a system is basically the wet dream of any otaku, and here I am, receiving the honor of such a great magnitude.

"So, I would be able to learn anything anywhere within a click of a switch, can't I?" I asked with great expectations. "Well, it does work like that. But like most things in the majority of the multiverse, it does come with a price. First of all, you can utilize this system only once a month. It is made so because overusing it will put a toll on your body and nerves. Second of all gaining the skill and gaining the experience is two different things. Inherent skills will be easy to gain but will only be utilized to its maximum potential once you work it. For example, let us say you gained the skills of a violinist first. While you have the skill set of a master violinist, there are somethings you would have to gain as experience. The hand flexibility, the correct postures, the grooves on your fingers etc takes time to settle and acquire. While this process will take time, the time that you will have to spend will be accelerated to an inhuman level and will only take you a week to master it at the top levels in most cases."

Now if that is the price that would make me the most talented person perhaps in this entire universe, then I would be a fool if I whine about it. It takes decades for any person to be a true master in any field. For me, it would be a matter of days, weeks, and utmost months. "I am happy that you are optimistic about your next life kid. She looked at me and then got up from her seat which I mirrored. She then came close to me and put her hand around me and started walking towards a door that I didn't notice till now. "Now look, the world you are going to, even though will grant you happiness and satisfaction, it doesn't mean that it will be a cakewalk for you. There will be instances where you will have to make some decisions that will have an effect on the future of you and the people around you. Also, many things that will be taking place in that world may be novel to you because at times certain things may be happening at a time that is different from what you know from your world. After all, it is an alternate universe tailor-made for you. So, don't panic." By then we have reached the door and she opened it for me. On the other side of the door was a hallway with three rooms, and at the end of the hallway was an elevator. "You can walk to the elevator, and there will be only one button on it. Press it and you begin your next big journey when you reach the next floor. Oh, there is also one thing you should know about your personal AI that will assist you in your journey. It can be accessed by giving the AI activation command 'AI initiate' in your mind and access the interface by thinking about it. Now go on boy, your next life awaits you." She said with a smile and closed the door.

I walked through the corridor towards the elevator. I pressed the entry button of the elevator and waited for the elevator. The elevator doors opened. It looked like a normal elevator and as I entered it, the doors closed behind me automatically. As the lady said, there was only one button on the elevator and I pressed it. Suddenly the lift started to descend at a very fast pace. At some moment the walls of the elevator have changed transparent and I could see that the elevator was descending through a tunnel that looked like a hole in the universe. Suddenly everything turned black and I heard a 'ding' sound that usually indicated that you have reached your destination. The doors of the elevator opened. As I stepped out of the elevator to what looked like a completely blank and nauseatingly bright area, I felt my surroundings blur, and suddenly everything went dark.
