Chapter 58: Legendary Black Phoenix

Julius, witnessing his friend’s death right before his eyes, was overcome with grief. Despite his efforts to rise, his attempts were futile. His body seemed to be stuck to the ground, unable to move due to the severity of his wounds.

Caspian Hond, consumed by anger, immediately directed his palm towards Julius. His palm began to emit a reddish glow, which then shot towards Julius. This time, there was no chance for the young man to evade it.

In his helplessness, anger, and sorrow, Julius attempted to rise. However, those feelings only shook his soul deeply, and he eventually lost consciousness. Suddenly, the sky, once blood-red, turned dark, and Julius’s body was lifted into the air.

Out of nowhere, above Julius’s head as he soared, appeared a black bird emitting black flames. The place became intensely hot. Meanwhile, Julius remained unconscious.

“The Black Po-Phoenix,” Caspian Hond stammered.

Indeed, what appeared above Julius’s head was none other than the legendary Eternal Black Phoenix. It seemed that the creature hadn’t perished as previously thought when the light god sacrificed himself. The legendary creature emerged from the soul of the light god, furious with the circumstances it faced. In other words, the soul of the Light God possessed another aspect, one of which was the Black Phoenix.

How could this happen? It’s highly likely that when the light god and the two Eternal Birds merged into one with the light gods, who then vanished, they remained fused until the god emperor rose again within Julius’s body. The immortality of these legendary creatures may be what prevented the Light God from disappearing from the universe. Legend has it that the legendary fire creature and the black firebird were created from the eternal fire of the universe.

“What is that? Does the young man have a spiritual animal in the form of that black firebird?” Master Rylan said, looking very weak.

The Legendary Bird then placed a seal on Julius’s back. A seal similar to the one made by Master Frostfire, a seal connecting powers. Then, the black flames emitted by the firebird emitted an extremely strong black light. It then entered Julius’s body through the seal it created.

Suddenly, Julius opened his eyes. His eyes turned into dark black orbs, looking very frightening. Julius’s body emitted an intense black light. He then stretched out his hands to the side.

The Four-Element Divine Sword, which was originally on the ground, flew into Julius’s left hand. Even more surprisingly, the light sword that was in Caspian Hond’s hand also flew towards Julius and was now in his right hand. The light sword, which originally emitted bright white light, now emitted black light.

“Wh-who is this young man really? Is he the reincarnation of the light god emperor...”

Before he could finish his bewildered speech, his body was already sliced by the light sword, now emitting black light. Caspian Hond’s body, split in half, was now engulfed in eternal black flames until nothing remained. Now the Bloody Demon King from Hell had been completely obliterated, unable to reincarnate again. Because anyone touched by the eternal black flames would disappear without a trace, not even their soul remnants.

Shortly after the death of the Right-Wing Commander of the Demon Sect, Julius finally lost consciousness again and fell to the ground. The masters then approached the young man and examined his condition. There seemed to be no wounds on Julius’s body whatsoever. Yet previously, the young man had suffered severe injuries both physically and internally.

“What exactly happened just now? What creature aided the young man? I never imagined there would be such a powerful creature, even the Bloody Demon King, who had reached perfect form, perished in just one attack. At least the historical demon king was in the realm of the God Spirit,” Master Rylan said, puzzled.

“Master Rylan, the light sword has disappeared! In the hands of this young man, there’s only the Four-Element Divine Sword,” Master Duano whispered to Master Rylan, giving a report.

“Hmmm... Whatever happened, let’s report it to the Head of the Tower of the Gods Academy later. It’s dangerous if the sword falls into the hands of someone irresponsible,” Master Rylan replied.

Master Rylan then ordered everyone to tidy up. He also instructed them to bury all the casualties from the earlier battle. He further ordered the Masters to guide their students in repairing some of the damaged buildings in the Academy. Meanwhile, he himself contacted the head of the Tower of the Gods, who was now in another dimension created by Master Frostfire.

Before he could even begin the telepathic meditation technique to contact the head of the Tower of the Gods Academy, suddenly a portal to another dimension appeared. A few moments later, the Head of the Tower of the Gods Academy and several other Masters emerged from the portal. Shortly after, the students also emerged from the same portal.

It turned out that everything that had happened in the Tower of the Gods Academy was already known to them. Master Magnus Raven used the God’s Eye technique to observe every event in that place and depicted it with his technique, allowing those in Master Frostfire’s dimension to see all those events. Their faces showed expressions of sadness. Some of the dead Masters were deeply loved by both the students and the Masters at the Tower of the Gods Academy.

“Chairman...” Master Rylan couldn’t continue his speech.

“I already know everything. Let’s pray that the fallen Masters will reincarnate into noble and better lives. It’s all fate; we cannot defy it. We’re fortunate that the Tower of the Gods Academy didn’t perish because of this incident.”

After hearing Master Magnus Raven’s words, they dispersed. Julius, who was still unconscious, was taken to the medical hall. Several times they tried to awaken the young man, but Julius remained unconscious.

A week later, after the attack by the Right-Wing Commander of the Demon Sect, the situation at the Tower of the Gods Academy returned to normal, although a sense of sadness still lingered. On the other hand, despite a week passing since the incident, Julius still hadn’t regained consciousness and remained in the medical ward of the Tower of the Gods Academy. At that time, the senior Masters, along with Master Lin Duano, gathered in the ward where Julius was being cared for.

“Chairman, what should be our next step regarding this child once he wakes up? Many Masters and even students demand his expulsion from the Academy because of his involvement and causing the deaths of Master Frostfire and other Masters. It feels like if he stays here, it will be difficult for us to move past the sorrow caused by those events,” Master Thalion, Head of the Tower of the Fire Dragon, said.
