Chapter 20: Competition of The Two Tower

For a moment, the two students locked eyes, then they leaped back into action, charging toward their respective opponents. Both still fought bare-handedly, being cautious not to cause fatal harm to each other. Master Frostfire had warned them explicitly against casualties in the competition; if such an incident occurred, the party responsible for the death would be disqualified from the contest. Moreover, the tower to which the offender belonged would face sanctions.

“Water Dragon Summoning Technique!” shouted the representative of the Water Dragon Tower.

The representative of the Water Dragon Tower performed a seal technique to summon a spiritual creature. Instantly, a blue dragon appeared. Despite being a junior student, he had been taught the art of summoning spiritual creatures. It was fortunate that the spiritual creature he summoned was a water dragon, which was abundant among those affiliated with the Water Dragon Tower.

“Elemental Manipulation Technique, Shadow Dragon Fire!” exclaimed the representative of the Fire Dragon Tower.

Not to be outdone by his opponent, the representative of the Fire Dragon Tower employed a seal technique to manipulate the element of fire. The fire element transformed into a crimson shadow dragon hovering above the heads of the two battling students. Many of the spectators admired the prowess of these two junior students from the Fire Dragon and Water Dragon Towers.

The skills demonstrated by these junior students representing their respective towers were beyond those of typical newcomers. They could easily rival the abilities of middle-grade senior students. It was a testament to the quality of education provided by the Masters in both towers, producing highly skilled students.

“Do you see the prowess of the junior students representing the Fire Dragon and Water Dragon Towers? It far surpasses the abilities of our tower’s junior representatives, the Earth Dragon Tower. I feel like going home; I don’t want to witness their inevitable defeat. If it weren’t for the luck of that kid named Julius, he would have been thoroughly beaten when facing either of them,” whispered Kael Frostborn to his two friends on his right and left.

Both of Kael Frostborn’s friends nodded in agreement. They, being on Kael Frostborn’s side, shared his sentiments. Occasionally, one of them forced Kael Frostborn, further fueling his displeasure towards Julius’s presence in the God Tower Academy.

In the arena, the clash between the two fire and water dragons began. The water dragon, controlled by the representative of the Water Dragon Tower, clashed fiercely with the fire dragon, a product of elemental manipulation wielded by the representative of the Fire Dragon Tower. The two dragons fought and exchanged powerful blows. Each collision between them produced a tremendous force, causing those nearby to stagger back.

Blammm!

A deafening explosion erupted as the two dragons collided mid-air. The fire and water dragons seemed to merge momentarily before disappearing. However, the explosion created a powerful shockwave, hurling many of the students backwards. The initial combatants were not spared from the force either. Both were thrown several yards from their positions.

Both representatives of the Fire Dragon and Water Dragon Towers lay sprawled on the ground. They struggled to rise, both suffering from severe internal injuries. However, soon after, the representative of the Water Dragon Tower managed to stand upright, while the representative of the Fire Dragon Tower remained incapacitated, clutching his chest in agony.

“This round is won by the Water Dragon Tower!” declared Master Kaelen Frostfire, concluding the match between the two towers.

Master Frostfire then ordered the senior students representing each tower to prepare themselves. With great agility, Alden Light and Asher Nightflame leaped onto the battlefield. Both of them paid their respects to Master Kaelen Frostfire and then stared at each other, attempting to influence each other’s mentality.

Upon receiving the signal from Master Kaelen Frostfire, they immediately launched attacks on each other. Just like the two junior students before them, they clashed their palms against each other. This time, the explosion resulting from the collision was even stronger than that of the junior members. The sound resembled thunder, deafening everyone around.

Remarkably, despite the powerful clash, neither of the senior students was thrown off balance. They remained firmly in their positions and resumed attacking each other. This time, they demonstrated unarmed combat techniques, each strike filled with powerful energy waves, creating gusts of wind and thunderous sounds.

Judging from the intensity of the battle, they were evenly matched. None of their strikes managed to injure their opponent; they either blocked or dodged each attack, avoiding any danger. The battle they displayed was truly a first-class warfare, rarely seen. It could even be said that their fight resembled the battles of the assistant Masters who taught in each tower.

“The sword element technique!” exclaimed Alden Light, using a sealing technique to summon a sword combined with his fire element manipulation technique.

Instantly, a sword emitting powerful flames appeared in Alden Light’s right hand. He then directed his spiritual energy and manipulated it into the fire element to strengthen the sword in his hand. Not to be outdone, Asher Nightflame then summoned a spiritual animal. Suddenly, before him stood a white bear, which he then fused with his martial spirit. This resulted in a white armor that he now wore. Asher Nightflame’s armor wasn’t just for protection; it also came with a white sword. Apparently, the sword emitted the water element, as droplets of water emanated from it, swirling around.
