Chapter 15: Awakening

One by one, the disciples began to wield their crafted swords. Various powers emerged in the place and overlapped each other. Judging from the energy emanating from the swords’ blades, the new disciples of the Tower of the God Academy in the Dragon Earth Tower group, the one who possessed the strongest martial spirit realm, also emitted formidable power.

What the disciples displayed earned praise from Master Lin, considering it a good achievement. However, in Julius’s view at that moment, what the disciples showed was still very low. He attempted to perform sealing techniques based on what he had learned from the book created by the universe’s god. Unfortunately, his estimation was off; the radiance of the sword produced was not as powerful as he had anticipated.

It could be said that the sword emitting power and light belonging to Julius was the weakest among all the disciples practicing the sealing technique. Julius himself realized what was happening. He was puzzled as to why such a thing could occur when his understanding of the technique was far superior to Master Lin Duano himself.

Actually, the hindrance to Julius’s cultivation ability was due to the weakness of the physical body he currently inhabited. Thus, the martial spirit and even the true power of the God of Light could not manifest. The true power of the God of Light was truly hindered by the physical ability that Julius currently possessed.

“You need to practice more, Julius. If you are to be sent by the academy to search for spiritual beasts or spiritual weapons in the future, the power you currently have is very lacking. What’s more dangerous is that you will become a victim of the ferocity of those spiritual beasts,” Master Lin said to Julius.

Julius only nodded in response to his Master’s words. He, who was currently in an unfavorable position due to his weak physical condition, could only pretend to be foolish to avoid too much suspicion. Moreover, his abilities in such a physical state seemed to demonstrate his lack of competence. Julius finally thought of ways to improve the quality of his coarse body.

After Master Lin’s lesson ended, Julius immediately approached him. He asked about medicines or training methods to strengthen his physical body. Julius admitted openly that his current physical body was very weak. He also said that every training he underwent would be very risky for him because of his weak physical condition when absorbing great energy that he had learned.

Master Lin stared sharply at Julius’s face. He seemed to want to investigate something that suddenly emerged in Julius. After all, information about the young man had been sent by both of their family heads. From what he knew from the family records, this young man could be called lazy. This was not unreasonable, as every time he trained, he always suffered injuries.

“If we don’t have a technique or potion like you mentioned, maybe even in this world there is no such thing. However, in the cultivation world, there is a kind of god fruit that has the effect of strengthening someone’s coarse body. It is said that this fruit can even drastically increase someone’s intelligence,” Master Lin replied.

“What fruit is that, Master? Where can I find it?” Julius asked after hearing Master Lin’s explanation.

“The place where the tree bearing the Divine Dragon Fruit grows is in an area controlled by the Black Seven Star Sect. This sect is infamous for the cruelty they inflict, especially on those outside their sect’s territory. No one will be spared if they visit their place,” Master Lin answered.

Julius fell silent. He was completely unaware of the sect mentioned by Master Lin earlier. Moreover, in the memory of the new body he possessed, he had never heard of the Black Seven Star Sect. Whether he liked it or not, he swallowed his disappointment because he had to accept the opportunity to have a strong body that could easily enhance his cultivation.

Julius and Master Lin then parted ways when they were back in the ordinary world. The young man headed towards the Dragon Earth Tower while Master Lin walked towards the Tower of the Gods. It seemed that the master would report on the progress of the disciples to the leader of the Tower of the Gods Academy. This was something he routinely did at least once a week.

“How was your training for seven days at Lin Duano’s training ground? Have you managed to awaken your Martial Spirit?” Galen Blackthorn asked when he saw Julius appearing at the Dragon Earth Tower.

Julius smiled as he saw his tower mate asking him. He was slightly pleased with Galen Blackthorn’s concern, the only person in the Dragon Earth Tower who showed friendship towards him. While the seniors often bullied him and the juniors from the same batch seemed indifferent to his presence.

Julius himself was actually somewhat surprised by the question posed by Galen Blackthorn. He didn’t expect the young man to know that Julius didn’t have a Martial Spirit before. Thus, it could be said that Galen Blackthorn had an uncanny ability. He also suspected that the young man actually had abilities beyond what he was showing now.

“Thanks to Master Lin, I can finally awaken my Martial Spirit within my body. However, I can only occupy the ninth level Earth Martial Spirit. It’s very different compared to you, who are already at the third level Heavenly Martial Spirit,” Julius replied.

Julius answered Galen Blackthorn’s question with a humble tone and attitude. He still didn’t know who his new friend truly was. Somehow, he suspected that Galen Blackthorn was not someone intending to study at the Tower of the Gods Academy. He felt the young man had hidden motives.

“You don’t need to be disappointed, Julius. There’s still plenty of time to train in this academy. I believe you’ll become a great cultivator in the future,” Galen Blackthorn tried to encourage Julius.

“Of course, I won’t despair or be disappointed! I will definitely continue to train to improve my abilities. As long as...”
