Chapter 25: Useless Brat

Amara Gold realized that Julius was already awake. She approached the young man and sat beside him. She took a deep breath and exhaled it roughly.

“Ugh! Why are you just lazing around here? This training opportunity is very rare. It’s your chance to equip yourself so that you can participate and even win in the competition held by the chairman of the Tower of Gods Academy. Many people are competing to get direct training from Master Kaelen Frostfire, but you’re wasting it.” Amara Gold reprimanded Julius, staring into the distance.

Julius smiled blandly in response to Amara Gold’s words. It was impossible for him to recount the actual events he experienced there. Even if he were honest, people might not believe what he told them. That’s why Julius chose to remain silent and not respond to Rylan Amara Gold’s words.

After resting for quite some time sitting on the jade stone in front of the Mirror of the Gods, they both stood up. They intended to train together to hone their abilities. However, just as they were about to leave the jade stone where they were sitting, a bluish light appeared, transforming into the form of Master Kaelen Frostfire. The master came through the portal gate to the place.

“Master!” greeted Julius and Amara Gold simultaneously, bowing in respect.

“How is your training going?”

Master Kaelen Frostfire asked his two students about the progress of their training, although he already knew how they were doing. In terms of progress in cultivation strength and elemental control, Amara Gold seemed to excel. However, in terms of grasping the essence of all the lessons he had taught, Julius was far ahead of the girl. Nevertheless, Master Kaelen Frostfire didn’t disclose this to the two disciples.

“Thanks to the guidance of our master, both of us have made great progress from our training. We will always remember and keep your kindness in our hearts,” Amara Gold replied, bowing once again.

“Hahaha, you are indeed talented and have strengths in your own ways. I believe you will become proud cultivators of this Tower of Gods Academy in the future. Today is your last day here after a week of training in this place,” said Master Frostfire.

Master Frostfire paused for a moment. He reached for something behind his clothes. Then he handed a small box to Julius. The young man accepted it with great respect.

“Julius, inside this box are three god pills that can enhance someone’s abilities and physical endurance. Use them when your body is capable. You can only use these pills at most once a year. If you use them sooner, not only will your lifespan shorten, but you will also lose all your abilities,” the master explained to Julius about the purpose of the item inside the box and the taboos to avoid.

“Thank you, Master Frostfire, for the teachings and also for this gift you have given. I will remember and heed all your messages. I, Li Julius, am deeply indebted to you, who have been so attentive to me!” Julius said.

“Don’t think too much about it. It’s my duty as a Master and also as a reward for you, who have won the competition I held. Whatever happens in that competition, you are the winners. Now it’s time for you to return to your Tower and share the results of your training here with your friends there,” said Master Kaelen Frostfire.

“Yes, master!” Julius and Amara Goldn replied simultaneously.

Then they were escorted by the master from the Training Dimension room directly to the front of the Earth Dragon Tower. It happened that at that time in the Tower’s field, the students were practicing with Master Lin Duano. Seeing Master Frostfire’s arrival with Julius and Amara Goldn, the practice halted for a moment. All the students paid respect to Master Frostfire, including Master Lin Duano.

When Amara Goldn and Julius had joined the other students, they were immediately surrounded by the others except for the students who were in the same group as Kael Frostborn. The other students seemed so enthusiastic about Julius’s appearance and asked many questions to him. However, Julius chose to answer them vaguely as if he didn’t fully understand, disappointing many students. On the contrary, Amara Gold answered every question from the students well, making her even more admired.

“Useless brat, he wasted the opportunities given by Master Lin Duano and Master Kaelen Frostfire to cultivate even stronger and to acquire good techniques from the masters. But it seems that Master Lin Duano misjudged that arrogant brat. He instead wasted the chance to train with Master Kaelen Frostfire, who is famous for having many great techniques,” grumbled Kael Frostborn, who still seemed not to accept that Master Lin Duano chose Julius as the representative of the Earth Dragon Tower.

“Students, your representatives assigned to learn with Master Frostfire have now returned. Please train together with them to obtain information or lessons given by Master Frostfire to them,” said Master Lin Duano after Master Kaelen Frostfire left.

“Yes, master!” the students responded in unison, including Kael Frostborn and his followers.

Master Lin then left the place, allowing the students to interact. Almost all of the students crowded around Amara Gold and joined her in training. Only Galen Blackthorn and three less talented students approached Julius. They thought Julius lacked the ability and intelligence to absorb the teachings given by Master Kaelen Frostfire. That’s why they believed that being with Julius would be pointless.

Unlike the others, Kael Frostborn’s group didn’t follow any of the students representing the Earth Dragon Tower to train with Master Kaelen Frostfire. Kael Frostborn believed that his abilities were still far above Amara Gold’s, let alone Julius’s. He himself had received special training from Master Kaelen Frostfire when he was a junior student at the Tower of Gods Academy.

Knowing that not many students from the Earth Dragon Tower chose to train with him, Julius simply smiled, not feeling discouraged at all. He had no intention of teaching much to the students of the Earth Dragon Tower, most of whom were selective in their social interactions and training. The slow-progressing students would be marginalized, often leading them to feel uncomfortable and eventually withdraw from the Tower of Gods Academy.
