Everyone's eyes widened to see a creature sitting at five meters inside that dungeon room. The giant monster has a human-like figure that wears a knight's armor all around its body. The only difference is that this giant knight-looking monster is seemingly made of molten rocks and was sitting on a giant throne-like chair. Below the monster are its underlings, who looked exactly like the other but smaller and looks a bit weaker. All of them are holding a sword that they occasionally slam on the ground while marching in a circular motion.
They all stared fixedly at the sitting molten knight, who seemed to be the source of the immense pressure in the atmosphere.
"That large thing seems to be the boss." Edward whispered at them, sneakily pointing at the sitting molten knight while hiding his body behind one of the pillars.
A dungeon boss is the monsters that leads an entire group of monsters of his kind. Boss is the term used to identify the strongest monster among every creatures inside a dungeon. And in this case, the largest strong-looking molten knight appears to be the boss according to Edward.
'So that's the reason of my uneasiness.' Grey figured out something was on just before they entered the tunnel. 'This is all because Bernard said that they heard blades clashing with each other before the bombats attacked them. The fact that those bats are flying only means that Ryner and the others aren't fighting against the bats but rather a monster with a sword.' Grey's assumptions seems right. Ryner indeed fought against this humanoid monsters until they got captured.
"We're going to fight those things?" Mira whispered to Bernard as she gazed up at Ryner who's struggling to undo the ropes tied around him while Rose and Jagger were unconscious. "Shouldn't we help them first?" She whispered her suggestion.
"Yeah, but we wouldn't be able to reach them unless we get closer to them." Jurgen stated, pointing at the underling knights. "Seems like everyone is fine, so let's fight this rocky monsters first." He said before chanting, "Freeze and pierce from below!", casting his strongest ice spell, 'Glacier spikes'.
"Swishhhh!"
The spell turned the ground below into a thick sheet of ice followed by several sharp spikes emerging from the ground, stabbing everything above it and taking care of several molten knights at once, turning them to pieces. But the wide range spell caught the attention of every underlings present in that room, causing them to momentarily stop and then suddenly charged towards them.
"Get ready to fight!" Jurgen yelled at everyone before jumping off to face three slightly larger knight using his sword. "Come at me." He provocatively shouted, before jumping and swinging his lightweight sword to successfully decapitate the monsters without any signs of resistance. With highly condensed mana on the tip of his blade, he sure could cut this monsters easily. And the movement was too fast for the monster's eyes to follow so evading is impossible.
This caught the attention of the man hanging on the rope. "What are you doing here old man?!" Ryner who's seemingly and surprisingly awake wildly shouted from above them, catching the attention of Jurgen.
"Shut up!" Jurgen annoyingly replied and slashed the monster in front of him and surprisingly stared at it's corpse. 'No core?' He tried stabbing its chest but the monster doesn't seem to possess any magical core which is strange since every monster should have one.
On the other side of the room, Reynold and Edward also engaged in combat, unhesitatingly activating their spirit marks and slashing the two enemies near them using their swords.
"Take care of my left and I'll–"
Before Edward could even finish talking a monster caught him off guard and sneaked behind him, lifting its sword and ready to swing. He was slow to react due to distractions and was about to get sliced. But Grey quickly noticed the sneaky monster and threw a fireball at its head, causing an explosion on its face and blowing it's head into bits, killing it in the process.
"I got you dad." Grey pridefully said, watching the perimeters around everyone.
Edward didn't reply, instead, he ran passed his son and slashed another molten knight who also tried to sneak behind Grey. He firmly planted his boots on the ground and said, "I got you first.", with a grin, followed by another swing of his sword to kill two more knights that came at him. Soon after, Edward also noticed the absence of their core and also find it strange. "This monsters have no core."
"Yeah, we know we know." Jurgen replied, violently slashing every enemy that come closer to him while calmly looking around.
Grey threw another fireball near his dad's direction before shifting his gaze back to the boss monster. And before he could even lay his eyes on it, a few monsters are already coming on his way, all carrying a sword. He calmly looked at each of them and mowed them down using a wind spell called 'Wind arc' that literally fires an arc-shaped wind that pushes through multiple enemies at once.
Soon, the monsters started attacking in groups, coming from left and right, front to back, surrounding them. Bernard stayed behind and supported Reynold and Edward with his healing spell to heal the slight stinging scratches on their arms.
Meanwhile, Jurgen who's surrounded by a great number of troops casted another 'Glacier spikes' to kill them in an instant before hopping towards another group of monster and used 'calamitous wind' to blow them into bits.

Mira on the other side quickly casted her 'Wind scythe' to kill the remaining enemies that were spared by Jurgen's ice. She was cautiously watching the monsters moving in masses and act accordingly.
"Good job old geezer! Hahaha, now untie me!" Ryner was wildly screaming and laughing from above them while begging to be put down.
This caused the old man to stop for a brief second to look at him. "Shut up for a moment!" Jurgen shouted at him. He looked in front of him just to see an entire army of those monsters coming at them. He looked at Edward and said, "Fuck, we can't take them all at once."
"You're a dual-caster, you're not the one to talk." Edward who's a short range berserker whined as he struggled to slash the group of monsters surrounding him but he managed somehow and now another group is coming on his way.
"I won't last longer in this exhausting battle. Must be good to be young?" The old man was complaining because he knew that he's limit was approaching after consecutively using ice magic earlier and that sparring match with Grey this afternoon.
Grey fling another mass of fireballs at the enemies' head and said, "Let me take care of them." He eagerly stepped in front of everyone with all his courage, surprising them with his bravery.
"What are you doing?!" Mira doubtfully shouted at the kid. But she was soon stopped by Jurgen's gaze from talking.
"Let him be." The old man surely trusted his grandson and let him freely do his thing.
After receiving everyone's permission, Grey emitted a huge amount of mana from his body almost filling the entire atmosphere with his own magic. "I have some mana to spare." He excitedly grinned, followed by bolts of yellow lightning forming around his body and soon struck all the molten monsters in front of them, turning them into bits using 'Lightning streams'.
"Lightning magic? What the hell? That kid is scary. To think that I would met someone who can use arcane attribute and a lightning user at that!" Ryner was screaming while violently swinging the rope where they were hanging on. "Horaay, young great master!" He was struggling to scream on to of his lungs.
Everyone excluding the Grandfield and Crossford guys were shock to see Grey's lightning magic. For such a young age, a kid was able to harness an arcane magic. And more importantly, lightning magic, one of the rarest among the high level attributes.
"That's awesome." Mira who's doubting him just a while ago started to commend him. Even Bernard was left speechless after watching the kid wipe out an entire army of seemingly A-rank monster.
Even Jurgen could tell that the kid was stronger compared to when they sparred. Grey can definitely put himself above A-rank if he would measure his magic using the magical frequency reader once again.
'Is it done?' Grey wondered, cautiously staring around him, not letting his guard down.
"Hurry up and bring me down. You won't be able to... defeat them like that!" Ryner shouted on top of his lungs.
After hearing this, Grey quickly took another glance at the boss monster and saw it moved its hand. A strange hand gesture followed by a loud banging sound of a metal object that caused everyone to be more cautious.
"What was that for?" Jurgen hastily asked. He knew that something's coming, so he never let his guard down even though his spirit mark might approach it's limit any moment.
Soon, everyone found out what's going on after another army of the same kind emerged from the ground.
"A summon?" Grey blurted in surprise.
"Those monsters are all summon. They'll just keep coming at you endlessly!" Ryner shouted, wiggling his body from inside the rope.
"So that's why they don't have a core." Jurgen concluded, exhaling sharply. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?!" He was furiously shouting at his disciple.
Ryner only looked at him with pity and whispered, "Because you're a stubborn geezer who won't listen to anyone."
"The summoner must be that bigger one." Jurgen pointed his sword at the giant sitting molten knight.
"That's not– Huh?" Ryner attempted to let out another word but was suddenly stopped after the rope that hangs them down snapped, causing them to fall down.
Grey quickly lifted them up and glided them to the ground using his wind magic. This was followed by Jurgen swiftly slicing the rope and freeing them from it.
"Alright!" Ryner vigorously flipped over his own body to stand up. "Now, where's my excalibur?!" He said, almost screaming while looking around. And on the ceiling near the wall, he saw his sword and other weapons hanging with it. He quickly pointed at it and said, "Great craftsman Reynold, shoot it down."
Which is Reynold quickly obeyed, firing a crescent flames at it with one swing pf his sword, causing it to fall down.
After seeing it fall down, Ryner quickly jumped and used the molten knight's head as a stepping stone and caught his sword. "Alright!" He screamed upon landing before vigorously swinging his excalibur in a horizontal rotating motion, slicing the summoned knights around him and then leaped forward to slice a few more...
Jurgen held the unconscious Jagger and Rose and turned his head to Bernard and Mira. "Bernard wake them up, Mira cover Bernard."
"Yes." Mira quickly replied as Bernard also nodded his agreement and proceeded on waking up Jagger by lightly tapping his face.
Meanwhile, Jurgen left Jagger and Rose on their guidmates and focused on how to deal with the molten army. "Let's take down the summoner." He charged in and slashed every monster that came on his way.
Grey supported him using his fire and wind magic, wiping out the army that tries to sneak behind him with fireballs and 'wind arc'.
And after getting to a closer distance, Jurgen turned the ground into ice and fired an ice spear into the sitting molten knight. "Die!"
But the monster simply caught his attack with its bare hands and looked at him with pitying glare that annoyed Jurgen even more. The monster slowly lifted its giant feet and was closed to stepping onto Jurgen.
But Grey came on his aid and used 'Stone wall' in front of Jurgen to block the forceful attack. "Be careful gramps," He worriedly said.
Edward also came rushing through the frozen ground and jumped at the monster, "Blue fire edge!" His sword's blade contained the blue flames that he constantly channeled through the sword and successfully cut the boss monster's left leg.
After getting it's leg chopped, the boss furiously swung its arm and aimlessly hitting the giant seat behind it with its elbow. This caused the surroundings to shake violently and the wall behind the boss to crack. With all the monsters around them turning into dust and a strong scream left the boss monster's gaping mouth that caused everyone to cover their ears and duck on the ground.
The crack on the wall behind it widened and became a hole. From there, anyone would be able to see another room behind that wall through the crack. And soon, the screaming stopped and when Grey checked above him, the monster was no longer in his seat and the wall in front of him was wide open.
And before he could even think of any question in mind, a large hand filled with lava and flames emerged from the large crack and spread it even wider. This was quickly followed by a gigantic foot stepping inside the frozen ground and immediately melting the ice with its fiery flames.
Jurgen just stared up at it in awe and blurted a question on his breath, "Seriously?"
