After giving a look at the fabricator which is more like a 3d printer than a industrial furnace I sigh due to the forge leaving things to desire.

Taking my tricorder out I give a look at my research data on fabrication, remembering what I learned.

Today galaxy quality grade works with a three quality rating, it being.

Old tech quality- The standard quality on the galaxy due to the low production cost and easy of manufacture.

Modern Tech quality- Stronger, thinner and denser but with less weight yet more resistance, materials with this quality have double the capacity of the last one, that means a iron plate of modern quality have double the strength of the old quality one.

Neo tech quality- The top notch quality available, it’s the smaller, the most weightless, and the strongest quality available with double the capacity of modern ones, that means a iron plate made by a expert mechanic with calibrated fabricator can make the iron plate four times as strong than normal.

With my memory fresh again I get to work, activating the forge, it heats quickly in no time, but due to missing heating modules it can’t refine harder metals nor make steel yet, so I keep to the basic.

Taking the fibers while the forge heats up I place it on the fabricator slot and start handling it’s system, basic fabric in mind as I start working the fibers, the first two batches goes poorly giving me 4 old quality fabrics but the last three batches gives me 6 modern quality fabrics which I place on the item rack.

I sigh as the fabricator can only make modern quality materials at best if I don’t botch it.

Taking a look at the forge I see that it’s heated and ready for work so I get more than half of the fibers to refine into carbon, I almost botch the production but manage to make it.

Now with carbon on hand I decide to make ballistic fabric, so I take the recent made carbon along with giber and start weaving the ballistic fiber, so I think what do I need to make it...

Carbon weave and fabric, the better the quality the better the product...

So I get to making Carbon weave... and with the increasing familiarity I manage to make all the 20 units of carbon into modern grade carbon weave.

With the Fabrics and C weave done I start making the ballistic fiber at last.

I sigh in contentment as 20 units of Neo quality Ballistic fiber lies on the item rack, due to the quality of the catalyst materials I managed to get the most out of the materials and managed to make the best quality of ballistic weave out of it.

I smile as a idea of using the best materials to make my combat exoskeleton enters my head, and I don’t dismiss it as the idea is good, I already have the ballistic fiber, it’s airtight and strong anti cut and piercing, that already one third of the armor made, now just need the best metal and lastly the best impact weave...

Can’t forget the modular plates and RIG connector, which will use copper... as for the electronic circuit I'll have to buy it as I don’t have the science module yet, that means the poor part of my armor will be it’s circuit...

I shake my head and resume my work on the fabricator...

15 M grade bars of copper is made, it would be more if I did not botch hard the last batch.

Looking at the Ore rack I see two crates of Iron(Fe), one is full to the brim while the other is almost half full, a total of 136 ores, that’s 14 batches of iron bars if I don’t botch any... I give a grin while popping my hands...

Of the 14 batches, I was poor in one, so I had to remake the bars and managed to recycle the old quality batch into modern quality, a total of 74 M grade bars of iron.

With my work done here I give a sigh and activate the cooling module, the heat of the sealed room being rapidly dispersed and the residual heat left was transferred to the engine room so the radiator plates close to the slipstream ring can dissipate it into space.

Making sure that everything is shutdown properly and the items are in their respective racks I walk out of the forge module.

As soon as I left the forge module I see the lights flash red as the glaxon alarm in each module starts blaring, the white lights turning red, I hear the ship vents start sucking the air out of the module while my boots lock on the metallic floor as the sudden loss of gravity disorients me for a second.

I start running to the bridge as the trembling ship reacts, the thump of railguns along with the feeling of electricity discharge can be felt, Shy must have given a reactive fire.

Grabbing the side of the stair while letting my boots unlock itself from the floor I float fast into the middle deck, the moment I reach the middle deck I hit the stair with my body, the sudden shift of weight from the ship and the dull scream of metal behind me where the reactor module lies make me sweat as I get myself together and enter the double door to the bridge.

The sudden flow of air as the first door opens after the second one closes gives me the not so good reaction of my pack.

“Report Bystro!” I yell with a rough voice and everyone quiets down and look at me as I rush to my seat, the wound on my head leaving globules of floating blood as I reach my chair.

“Contact, enemy, Destroyer class, confirmed pirate!” Zu gives a fast response.

“Reactive fire sent but Middle deck M2 was hit, heavy damage to plating!” Shy said.

“Doing evasive maneuvers! We are hidden by the asteroid!” Cold said.

“Cold, full broadside, I want to punish the daring fella, Shy, wait for my words to open fire, barrage mode, all turrets, Zu, paint me a target!” I give a series of order which the girls start working.

The moment we where about to leave the asteroid a shot hit the asteroid breaking it into pieces, I watched as the railgun slug passed centimeters from module 3 of the upper deck.

Cold sweat was leaving me, they have a damn good shooter!

“Target painted!” Zu said making me grin.

“Ready to fire!” Shy said, murder in her eyes.

“Goddamn it! They are damn good at shooting!” Cold said while cursing like a sailor.

I grin as I get a perfect angle and mark it for Shy. “Open Fire!” I yell with a snarl and watch the heavy barrage fly their way.

I watch as the four burst from our Vulcan shred the ship engine plates before two high speed slugs pierce deep into the enemy ship engine dealing almost critical damage to their engines.

The return fire passed close to the lower deck as it hit the asteroid besides the Tenacity, it’s spray of point defense fire hitting Tenacity right at the middle, I felt the force of the impact as the bridge plates shrieked in protest, the girls and myself was jolted on our chairs as we tried to keep ourselves from flying and hitting the bridge wall.

“Damage! MD M1! Moderate damage! Plating only!” Shy yelled from her side as she managed to correct her posture.

“Can’t get a proper visual on the enemy ship! It just hid behind the asteroid!” Zu said while looking back at me for orders.

“Cold! Keep broadside and evasive maneuvers, Shy, ready the guns for a delayed barrage, railgun shot first from R1! Zu! Get us the asteroid they are hiding!” I give another set of orders.

“Roger!” They say in unison and get to work.

“White, I can’t get a proper reading!” Zu said.

“*Enemy ship location placed on radar. Full hostility mode engaged.*” Sigma said as she detected my increasing wrath.

“Thanks Sigma! We got their location!” Zu said after some adjustment on her console.

“Shy! Open fire at my mark, R1 first! Ogon’!” I said and stumbled on my translation due to rage.

“SIR!” She said and fired Railgun one.

The railgun slug dismantled the asteroid revealing the ship behind it but missed it by a large margin by passing bellow it.

“Second salvo! Ogon’!” I said in a rough and cold voice.

Before Shy opened fire at the ship Sigma started talking.

“*Initiating targeting link with Gunner ‘Shy’... Complete. Ship targeting and pre visualization online.*” Sigma said as I saw Shy’s console blackout and resume with a lot extra input.

“Woah! O- Opening fire!” Shy said after a stutter.

I watch as the burst fire from the point defense turrets of Tenacity shred the last remnant of armor on the enemy engine port and pierce deep into it’s innards, the resulting explosion as the enemy ship engine block goes in flames due to the erchius going volatile can be seen by all but the most deranged scanners as the ship starts rotating in a mad spin as it loses it’s thrusters.

Due to all that however the railgun slug that was fired pierced their reactor block but dealt almost no damage.

I watch with a grin as the enemy spin off into one of the asteroids, hitting it with force while not being able to lock it’s guns on us.

The impact was so bad that the asteroid exploded due to the force of the impact, the ship was almost mangled into unrecognizable pieces while it’s plating became part of it’s mangled mess, it’s now a derelict... with survivors.

I shake my head at the now mostly stopped derelict ship and give Cold the order to get us a better angle to it’s reactor, Cold just gave a nod and adjusted Tenacity position.

With my order Shy shot both railguns targeting their reactor.

I watch as the ship goes up in flames and radiation, pieces of it floating off into the surrounding asteroids with a good speed, the pirate ship was no more.

“*Hostility protocol deactivated. White, I'll be there to help you when you need it.*” Sigma said to me before going silent and the consoles blacking out before returning to normal soon after.

“Spacibo Sigma, and to you all too devushki.” I said with a smile before getting up, the fight took less than 30 minutes but my bleeding is still going strong as I take the formed blob of blood floating close by and drink it back so I won’t lose too much nutrition.

“You okay White? You seen a little out of it.” Zu said as she got up and looked at my bleeding head.

“Da, I just need to pinch the blood for a while before returning to our daily lives.” I said with a smile while taking care of the bleeding.

Managing to barely contain the bleeding before being able to use my hands again I heard Cold talking to me.

“Hey, boss, where to now?” Cold asked me.

“Back to our mining area, we need to get the battery full again and recharge the drones sooner or later.” I said with a grunt as I shake my hands, the rest of my blood dispersing from it.

“Sure thing.” She said and got to work while I walked off to the living quarters.

Zu gave me a bye while Shy and Cold resumed their posts, keeping guard for sudden attacks as we just got out of a fight.

Getting to the living quarters I seated and gave a sigh, thinking about the fight just now...

The ship was hit square on the reactor module, almost shot on the forge module, again shot on the command bridge before we managed to finish the fight, the reactor battery was running dangerously low with being able to give another 3 full burst fire with all weapons before running out...

That means I need to upgrade the center ship, get a plating upgrade to double the center ship damage resistance and while on it get some extra front armor, that will make the entire middle ship extra thick and the solar sails protecting the living quarters along with the front armors and the extra plating will make the area impervious to damage, that means no death while sleeping, or by food shortage, or by water shortage due to destroyed living quarters...

I’ll make a blueprint for the upgrade of Tenacity mid armor upgrade, it can be upgraded by hand later on zero G when I'm getting the herbs on the blockaded world.

I give a sigh as the ship finally pressurizes again, the oxygen and sound returning to this lively ship as I hear the girls talk, Peppy curse at the damage making me chuckle while I watch Nail helmet return back to it’s neck slot automatically while not waking her up...

I’m sure she woke up at the sound of the reactor module receiving damage but chose to return to sleep... Can’t ask her if she’s brave or foolish...

Getting to my bunker bed with a chuckle I too get some sleep too...
