Chapter 9 - Bring Them Death

Chapter 9 - Bring Them Death

“You can do this, that’s what they deserve.” I say to myself as I walk out of the forest and into the farms around the city again.

As I walk calmly and steadily towards the gate, I can see confusion on the guards faces, not understanding why I am alone, and wondering what happened to the leader of the guards.

Only when I get to ten meters away from the gate do they act to stop me, and one of them tries closing the gate in precaution.

Immediately exploding my flame armor out, I stomp my way into the city, leaving burning corpses and houses in my path. Given my height, I can just walk over most of the houses.

This city is full of slaves, and one owner. Whenever the owner of slaves is killed, all the slaves die with him, so it doesn’t matter if I kill them now or when I get the owner.

This is a medium sized city, and has a population of almost a hundred thousand people.

~Mayor’s mansion~

As the round body of the mayor is sited on a couch, reading a book, a guard sprints into his office and says hurriedly. “Mayor, the durkan has returned alone, and is making its way through the city towards here!”

“Oh, what an amazing gift.” Says the mayor as he gets up from the sofa, walks to the balconi and look at the gate in the distance. “Everyone, capture him alive!”

As his voice echoes through the city, all of the one hundred thousand people stop what they are making immediately, and start sprinting in the direction of the durkan.

“Let's see if you are that powerful.” He says with a smile.

~Ragurr~

All the people in the streets start sprinting in my direction and sending their bodies into my flames as if they were a horde of zombies.

I take a deep breath, hold it, and turn the flame armor to the max as I sprint into a wave of a few thousand people. The skin on their bodies immediately start to bubble and melt, as my armored chest slams against the wall of people, and continue running in a straight line towards the center of the city.

Wave after wave of people send themselves to death, the few of them that use bows are not strong enough to go through my scales, and the ones using any close weapons, like spears, swords and axes just die from the heat. Not many of them are cultivators, and the few who are, aren't strong enough to last much more.

In less than five minutes I arrive at the main plaza, in front of the mayor’s mansion.

The plaza is full of slaves charging in my direction, and high in the balcony of the mansion is a fat and a slim lizardman, with purple robes, looking down on me.

As the horde of people doesn't stop, I just keep charging into the mansion, slamming my body on the walls and going right through.

I swing my sword up at the balcony, and send a maxed out tongue of fire from below to their back, to block their way. As the balcony collapses and the fire cinder their path backwards, they jump down, each to one side, sending a rope that goes over my back.

Not waiting to see what the robe will do, I jump to the side of the slim lizard man, and swing my sword at his chest.

As if stepping on air, he jumps out of the way of my swing, and throws a small knife into my face.

Bringing my head down a little, I make the knife hit my horn, and throw my arms from both sides to grab him.

He swings under one of my arms, but I manage to grab his leg with the other pulling him closer. I hold his chest in my hand, and increase the power of the fame to the maximum that I can.

Feeling a pulse of ki from my back, I look back and see the obese man using runes and creating an array in the air in front of him.

Not waiting to see the result, and moving quickly, for I see that the array is about to be completed, I take two jumps back and kick with both rear legs at his chest. The image of two legs, as big as he is tall, moving extremely quickly at him must have scared him, given that the array shattered as my hooves smash his big belly in, and send him flying some meters.

Not waiting to see if he is dead, I sprint in his direction, with one hand cleave my sword down, and the other send a maxed out flame. He manages to move out of the way of the sword, but the fire hits his body fully, storing the sword in the ring. Taking out my knife, as he is contorting on the ground, I cut open his abdomen, and tear out his dantian.

As the dantian comes out, and the fire cinders his body, all the slaves in the city fall dead to the ground.

Finally stopping to breathe, I look around me at the destruction that I made. The city has a line of corpses on fire from one gate to the center, the three story mansion in the center is now in ruins, and all around the city are collapsed corpses of dead slaves.

Taking the dantian out of the slimmer one, I use his dantian to get back to top condition, sit on my four knees, and start absorbing the ki from the fat lizardman.

The ki from the slimmer one was almost the same density as mine, but this one is totally above mine. The ki from the fat man is infinitely close to becoming liquid. The process of absorbing it takes me seven full days. At the end of the seventh day, the ki in my dantian is almost completely liquid. I push one last time, and all the ki from my body is compressed into a single drop of liquid inside my dantian.

Immediately all the impurities of my body start to be expelled, as the liquid ki moves through my body.

All my scales fall off, my bones and new scales grow harder and denser, my body increases two meters in height and three in width, my horns grow past a full circle now, and the points are now pointing forward, at the height of my eyebrows.

Coming out of my meditation state, I inscribe once again all the arrays in my scales, and activate them to incinerate the residues of the breakthrough. Also, after a little modification of an array I've used hundreds of times in shields, I inscribe hundreds of small toughness and durability arrays on the scales that I didn't inscribe the flame armor array.

Looking around the city, I see that the once lively city is now a pile of burning debris. The fire from my fights must have worked its way through the pile of corpses and woods of the city, tearing everything down.

Gathering some of the ash from the ground, I mix it with water to create an ink, and spend the whole day making a sign on each of the four gates to the city.

“This is the end that all enslavers shall have the day that i meet them!” I write with giant words on the walls of the city.
