As I was about to start complaining, My eyes fell upon the ten new runes and i am captivated by their essence.

These ten runes are better than any runes I've seen so far.

If the runes that I know can be described as two or three word sentences, like ‘fire creation’ or ‘fire manipulation’, these are a whole paragraph.

Sitting on my four knees, I immediately enter a meditation state, and inspect every nook and cranny of each rune, feeling for their real meanings, and conjecturing the best ways to apply them.

After 40 minutes I remember that I have to create an array with them, taking the two easiest ones, a Force Manipulation rune, that has all the essence of what force is, and can be molded to create uncountable things, and a Link rune, that can link and connect separated things.

Using those two and a bunch that i already knew, i inscribe the same array in eight of my old scales, and after providing the right amount of ki, with a simple thought the eight scales float in front of me in a octagon, with a ten meters wide force field appearing in the inside, linking every scale.

“This array shall be called the Octagon Force Shield Array” I say with a happy smile.

Looking for Herbos, I call him to me with a hand, and gesture for him to attack the shield.

He gets close to the formation, still is his twelve meters tall form, and with a clean form, punches out extremely fast.

Boom!

The punch rocks the array, but is not enough to break through.

“What do you think?” I ask the red robed elder, and with a bright smile on my face I continue. “Also, thanks for the runes, I've never seen such deep, powerful runes.”

“Ok, you are alright for a ki condensation disciple, but far from a master, never call yourself that again.” the elders said as he sat back down.

“I’ve learned much today, I would like to ask for permission to become a member of this sect. I love learning, and I think this is the perfect place for it.” I say, as I look around at all the elders.

After some seconds of mumbling by some elders, the High Elder says. “Having in mind that he has grown to such power and knowledge in such a barren place, and has shown this expertise in runes, I vote for giving him a place in the outer sect, is anyone against?”

Given that it is the high elder speaking, and the subject has almost nothing to do with the other elders' plans, no one says anything.

“Herbos, take him to the outer sect, show him the place and how the sect works. You are dismissed.” Says the high elder, immediately looking to the side and changing subject.

“Let's go.” Says Herbos, walking out of the hall.

Walking down the mountain, he showed the location of all the major buildings in the sect. The library, the eating hall, the pill distribution hall, the missions hall, all the training grounds, and the dorms.

“Given your size, you'll need to build your own house, you won't fit in a room inside the dorm.” Herbos says as he shows me a clearing in the garden. “You can use this space, it should be enough.”

“Ok, see you tomorrow morning, use this night to get some rest, tomorrow we can go to the library and look for a cultivation manual.” Says Herbos as he waves his hand and walks away.

Taking out my forge, I melt some metals and forge four, twenty meters tall, thin poles. With a quick modification to the force shield array, and an ingenious use of the light manipulation array, I inscribe the new array on the poles, and fix them in the ground, making a square.

Activating the array makes four walls of forcefield link all the poles, and the light manipulation changes its shape into looking like an ordinary, but giant, sect dorm house.

“Hehehe, perfect.” I say to myself as I inspect the array formation for any imperfections.

Waking up the next morning, I cultivate in the garden for some minutes while waiting for Herbos to show up.

“Hey mate, wake-up. Let's go to the teaching hall, you need to choose your path of learning.” Says Herbos as he gets close to me, and rises his height to match mine.

Halfway up the mountain are a few dozen buildings. Herbos explains to me that each teaches a kind of knowledge, there's a weapons hall, an array hall, body cultivation hall, alchemy hall, and some others more.

“Each hall has some scheduled lessons, you just need to remember their time and create your own curriculum around them.” He finishes saying.

Choosing to focus on two things at the start, I choose to start the day with ten hours of body tempering cultivation, and the other ten hours learning about arrays.

The body cultivation hall has twelve teachers, separated in twelve classrooms built in a circle, leaving a wide open area in the middle.

Upon entering I receive a cultivation manual explaining the body tempering technique. This is not the main technique of the Divine Sky Sect, for only the inner disciples are able to have access to the important techniques of the sect, but is an extremely powerful technique nonetheless.

The technique is called Crimson Earth Body, an extremely powerful technique that changes your body to wield the power of earth ki and natural earth ki manipulation.

The manual describes a way to, by chanting a mantra, enter a meditation estate where you are easily able to differentiate the earth ki flowing around you, and pull it inside yourself.

After accumulating a little, you need to circulate the earth ki through a specific set of meridians, so that it will start to be absorbed by your cells, making them stronger.

This manual explains the three first steps of this technique, which are really similar to the way I used to cultivate. But after i get to the liquefied ki, i need to infuse the earth ki in the cells of my body.
