"-and then Surge said that Grassy Terrain is a move which uses grass TE or something and mossy rock is known to have grass TE, so what if the moss on Tabitha's body that day got filled with grass TE and led to Leaf evolving into a Leafeon?"
Samuel gently stroked his chin in thought. In all honesty, this was a more concrete hypothesis than anything else the professor might have thought of. If it were true, then humanity might have just accidently found out how to create an artificial evolution room for grass types who evolve from stones thereby turning the entire market of grass stones obsolete.
If, of course, because it wasn't guaranteed to be true.
"Hmm, I see where you might come to this conclusion so I will see what I can do about it, young Evandros, but do understand that it might take months of research to find any correlation between the two." It wasn't a no, Samuel made sure of that. "But to see if this is true, I will need Tabitha back in the lab for more moss collection, we used up most of our previous reserves with our testing."
The young trainer in the screen easily nods and a few moments later, Oak's ranch welcomes Tabitha once more and says goodbye to Woody once more. If Evandros ever enters a competition for most switching of team members, he would most likely achieve first place.
"Oh, by the way. Surge gave me a note which lets me have a pass into the safari zone, do you know why it would do that?" Dammit, what was Surge thinking giving a free pass to a child that didn't even have four badges. Doesn't he know that the whole point of the gym challenge was to train the damn trainers.
Samuel didn't let his frustration show, instead he smiled happily at the news and replied "My, my, it might seem like a prank but that note he gave has his signature so the safari zone security will be able to check the validity of the claim, though I do hope that you will spend some time with the egg instead of rushing into the safari zone. It will be any day now that it hatches so it would be best if you spend at least a month with simply taking care of the young Pokemon inside before adding any new catches."
Samuel internally sighs in relief when the kid on the screen nods to the reasoning.
They chat a bit more, talking about his young sponsee's progress and how he is doing with his online schoolwork while he spends his time travelling, before inevitably the call has to end as Evandros says he wishes to talk to his mother.
The call ends and Samuel Oak finally droops into his chair. He knows that he should be going to his aides and assistants and giving them orders, but he really wants a few moments of privacy, so sue him.
Still, he begins using the computer once more to send a few emails to the respective researchers, professors and Professors with the capital P before he opens poke.net to see what might be discussing on the online forums.
His headache, caused by Pokemon researchers around the world, probably already knows.

Guys. Guys! GUYS! I just cam out of the Vermilion Gym where this kid was just battling Srge and Surge said that he bumped him up a star level so Evandros was gonna batle him against Surge's four badge team. Everybody was waiting for the kid to lose his shit when Sruge started dissing his Leafeon but the kid kept his cool and set spikes and usign Disable and Confuseray and other status moves before sending out jhis Leafeon.
Tell me why this bruda sent out a grass type that used fuckign Flame Charge on a Magneton.
I probably explained it really shitty so I recorded the battle on my phone and it in this link right here but that probably wasn't the craziest thing there.

---Countrybumpkin007 Because a Leafeon just spontanousley combusted.

Pokepedia_3 And remember kids, if you see a Leafeon use Flame Charge that's probably a Zorua but if it is a Leafeon then get yourself off the crazy pills
---Pokepedia_3 Okay, I actually watched the video and wtf that's a Leafeon using Flame Charge
---BlazeingFireTypes116 Lol, wtch the sheeple get freaked out over a grass type (I'm five seconds away from getting my shotgun and praying to lord Mew)
---Serenitea33 @BlazeingFireTypes116 dude same, the people get a glimpse of truth and suddenly they can't handle it (I'm hugging my emotional support Munchlax rn)

Tired_Snorlax2 I dont know wats worse. The Leafeon using flame charge or the fact that the kid managed to teach his Leafeon flame charge
---Broskivillion I think everybody is freaking out over the Leafeon so much that they forget that this kid had a star advancement
---Hoennruler10 @Broskivillion sorry if this sounds dumb but what's a star advancement?
---Broskivillion It's alright. To answer your question, a star advancement is when a young trainer has shown themselves to be at a higher level of strength than they normally would be. So the gym leaders would challenge the opposing trainer at the higher level to help them become more used to battling people at their level instead of their Pokemon being stronger and it being a stompfest. Since Evandros beat Surge it means that he will now fight at the fifth badge level for his fourth badge and his sixth badge level at his fifth, so he would have to fight his last two gym leaders at the maximum power they can bring into a gym challenge short of bringing their true teams.
Most people would consider this a really big handicap but if you look here then you'll see that most the famous trainers around the world typically experience a star advancement during their early years so we can use predictive analysis to presume that Evandros has about a 40% chance of making into the league top 8 sometime in the next couple years.
---FelineFriend111 bd I aimt reding all that.

CallingAllSteelix So is everybody going to ignore the Clamperl that overpowered that Luxio?
DudeAwsome I don't really see the big deal, Leaf's always been ablr to use multiple moves at the same time so I tried mixing Sunny Day with Quick Attack with Trailblaze. The fact we managed to make Fla,e Charge with a weather move means we can probably do the sane thing with Rain Dance.
---VoltageSupremo Holy Shit, it's Evandros's account. Major fan dude, also ahhhhh water type flame charge.
---PrettyPonyta24 Hello, I am a breeder wondering if it might be possible to discuss about attempting to breed the move onto Eevee's. My Flareon is more than willing to do so.
---MahoganyTownResearchStation Hello, this is the Mahogany Town Research Station wondering if you might be okay with temporarily loaning your Leafeon to study its genetic structure. Further details may be hashed out with your legal guardian and your sponsor.
---MossDeepTownResearchStation Hello, this is the MossDeep Town Research Station wondering if you might be okay with temporarily loaning your Leafeon to study its move usage. Further details may be hashed out with your legal guardian and your sponsor.
---FairlyFairFairy lol, watching the breeders and research stations coming out of the woodworks while eating. Also, I will eat every single one of my pokeballs if this kid manages to make a water type Trailblaze.

ChaosReigning I subscribed to the kids account, it used to be pictures of his Eevee and her brother and some drawings of Pokemon, now its pictures of him and his Pokemon hanging out like that one where he went to an arcade in Fushcia. My brother was in that pic in the background. Evandros's handle is DudeAwsome.
---OptimumAnalysis why is his account called dudeawsome
---DudeAwsome I was seven
----------------------------------------
DudeAwsome: Okay so Officer Jenny says that I can release this picture now that the news kinda talked about it. Also, I guess this is the official reveal of my latest teammate
[The picture Evandros talks about is a selfie with his Leafeon, Rockruff, Ralts, Indeedee, and Clamperl. Next to him and his Pokemon is a small blue axolotl known as a Wooper while taking up the majority of the background is menacingly bruised and bloody Tyranitar. In a corner of the background, a group of four men and their Pokemon are being arrested. Worryingly, Evandros's head had a red liquid going down from the side of his head onto his cheek.]

---Poli_nap24 If you'll look closely you can see that that same tyranitar has a ultra ball in its hand. HE CAUGHT A MEW DAMNED TYRANITAR
---Gravellerstan53 Nah the kid caught the Wooper. He's currently trying to teach the water type how to use bulldoze and its the cutest thing ever. That said, HOLY BIRDS HE TOOK A PICTURE WITH A TYRANITAR.
---PlasticHAter707 I'm glad that were all ignoring the fact that HES FUCJING BLEEDING.
---TerrifyingGhoul So my brother showed me a news article about how some trainer basically stopped a group of four Pokemon poachers from stealing wild and rare Pokemon like Tyranitar. Um guys, those four in the background looking really freaking similar.
---PowerUpPrincess Excuse me what.

PowerUpPrincess Evandros what the heck It's barely been two months
---DudeAwsome what Ames
---PowerUpPrincess Don't what Ames me. How did this even happen.
---DudeAwsome Nothing really happened. I was just heading from Fuschia to Gringey city and then I saw those four dudes were jumping tyranitar. I made Dee-Dee heal him and then basically fought em off until Dee-Dee and Lupa ended up breaking their cages with Pokemon or smthn and then the rangers came and then officer jenny came and then I went to the hospital and found out that Ive got a hairline fracture that should heal by tomorrow or smthn. Wooper liked me so I named him Marshmallow and caught him.
---PowerUpPrincess ...dude your moms gonna ground you sooo hard when you get back home.
---FairlyFairFairy I am loving this interaction

Topics / Trainers: Evandros Morgan posted by mods
This is the official Pokemon trainer analysis done by poke.net on the most intriguing trainers this side of the regions.
Official Trainer Info
Badges Obtained: Boulder Badge, Rainbow Badge, Thunder Badge
Age: 10
Home Region: Indigo
Pokemon Owned: 10
Licenses Obtained: Trainer License, Non-Battler License
Known Team: Chardon (Charmeleon)(M), Ralts (F), Tabitha (Pineco)(F), Leaf (Leafeon)(F), Beedrill (M), Lupa (Rockruff)(M), Woody (Sudowoodo)(M), Pearl (Clamperl)(F), Dee-Dee* (Indeedee)(F), Wooper (M)
A brief look into Evandros's account DudeAwsome shows that he's been taking care of his Leafeon for more than a couple years as a young Eevee. We also know from his numerous comments on the subject that he never once trained any Pokemon before his actual journey, saving the experience for his future team. He also seems to love giving his Pokemon nicknames, barring Beedrill and Ralts.
As a lab trainer Evandros had to pass rigorous tests of not only Pokemon care, but also survival training and general geology before he would ever be allowed a lab starter from the one and only Professor Oak. Please be aware that a regional Professor can gift up to 18 Pokemon to starting trainers around their region so Evandros might either be a one in four or a one in eighteen depending on how many people passed this year's application and the amount of Pokemon available to Oak. Furthermore, Evandros has stated that he and his friends had discussed the Pokemon available to them and had all agreed on their choice of Pokemon beforehand and were happy with their final choices.
Although he has given quite a controversial battling opinion with making his Pokemon fight opponents they are normally weak to, Evandros himself has shown plenty of good traits as a trainer; being flexible and creative with his team and their fighting styles when most young trainers would be more than willing to use the same strategy for all their Pokemon. e.g. making a clear physical attacker with limited special attacking moves focus on special attacking moves like its teammates or making a frail Pokemon like Sneasel into a defensive tank like a Snorlax.
He's quick on calling out attacks, occasionally abbreviating them, and has made his Pokemon throw a few feints to catch their opponents off guard. He's also more than willing to let his Pokemon do their own decisions which is a know double-edged blade but is, for now, working for the young trainer.
His official battle record trainer ID is a w-l-d of 237-48-19 meaning that he loses after once every 4.9 wins making his official win rate 81.667% which is a very high number but not a very unusual one for promising trainers. However, what is notable is the fact that this is a culmination of battles within two months which is a frankly rare phenomenon as starting trainers become reclusive and less likely to participate in trainer battles the more badges they win. Evandros has effectively done the exact opposite and the number of battles after every badge seem to be increasing instead of decreasing, though the young trainer openly only fights people after they are aware of the number of badges he has. One thing to note, is that a majority of the losses come from trainers who had more badges than him at the time.
Now onto his Pokemon:
Chardon (Species name: Charmeleon)
Ability: Blaze
Known Moves: Scratch, Ember, Growl, Tail Whip, Dragon Dance, Fire Punch, Beat Up, Fire Spin, Sunny Day, Dragon Rage, Metal Claw, Thunder Punch, Smokescreen, Flamethrower
As a starter Pokemon, Chardon holds vast potential to become a powerful contender against any opponent with his long- and short-range moves. Under his trainer, Chardon has shown the ability to think on his feet while simultaneously obeying any orders he might receive, the fact that this member of the Charizard line is so willing to follow his trainers' orders is a point for Evandros's capabilities as most young trainers find members of the pseudo-dragon line obstinate and more than willing to follow their natural instincts. Usual tactics of riling up the Kanto fire starter may be a fruitless endeavor and it is advised against using a water type to defeat this specific fire type.
Leaf (Species name: Leafeon)
Ability: Leaf Guard
Moves: Quick Attack, Growl, Baby-Doll Eyes, Tail Whip, Swift, Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Razor Leaf, Mud Slap, Iron Tail, Double Team, Agility, Trailblaze, Flame Charge(?), Leaf Blade(?)
As an eeveelution, Leaf has shown how the genetic instability of their species makes each and every one of them unique. Leaf is currently one of three known Pokemon that can use multiple moves at the same time with an equal or greater amount of power whereas most Pokemon need to be trained to be able to use combination moves without them losing their efficacy in any way. Unlike the other two, Leaf has managed to learn a previously unattainable move for anything that isn't a Smeargle or a fire type. Her natural strength from her species combined with the fact that she might be able to replicate moves such as Leaf Blade and turn them into the fairy type is what makes her such a dangerous opponent. It is noted however that she is a close ranged fighter who does not do well in a battle where she has to fight something far away from her.
Tabitha (Species name: Pineco)
Ability: Sturdy
Moves: Rollout, Swift, Struggle Bug, Lunge, Rapid Spin, Reflect, Self-Destruct, Spikes, Automize(?)
Evandros's first official wild catch, Tabitha sports speed and debuffing her opponents more than most caught Pineco. Willing to follow an order to blow herself up, this Pineco is a sneaky Pokemon that can catch opponents off guard with her traps and her attacks that cripple anything that relies on speed and special attacking power. Overall, an average member of her species that might shine brighter when she evolves but definitely should not be underestimated.
Ralts
Ability: Unknown
Moves: Confusion, Psychic, Thunder Punch, Grass Knot, Double Team, Confuse Ray, Reflect, Light Screen, Disarming Voice, Baton Pass, Calm Mind, Teleport
Ralts is a fairly uncommon Pokemon from the Hoenn region that has three different forms it can turn into if the species is a male. Similar to Combee and Salandit, being a gender affects the evolution pathways of this Pokemon. However, Ralts is known to be sporting an everstone on her left arm in a classic friendship bracelet so both the psychic type and its trainer have decided for the empath Pokemon to hold off on her evolution or potentially not evolve for the foreseeable future. This decrease in combat power is instead dealt with by Evandros teaching the psychic type moves that either inflict status conditions or empower her teammates. Overall, this Pokemon has a debilitating weakness to Taunt or Misty Terrain which prevents status conditions from happening but can still be a tricky long-range opponent to face for anything big, close-ranged, slow.
Beedrill
Ability: Swarm
Moves: Electroweb, Bug Bite, String Shot, Harden, Twinneedle, Double Team, Agility, Poison Sting
Beedrill is a fairly common bug type within Kanto and is known for being weak and frail when they have to battle individually. Evandros has understood this fact and instead has his Beedrill try to make itself hard to hit using a combination of Double Team and Agility. Due to the Beedrill line having abysmal special attack, the young trainer instead focuses completely on improving the bug types physical power and uses Electroweb as a defensive and locking mechanism so that the opponents Pokemon will have difficulty catching this elusive Pokemon. Overall, this frail Pokemon can become a dangerous threat to a team if left unchecked so make sure to have the regular counters for facing Beedrill's while also having a few moves like Shockwave or Swift.
Lupa (Species name: Rockruff)
Ability: Own Tempo(?)
Moves: Tackle, Rock Throw, Bite, Double Team, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Snarl, Trailblaze, Rocky Guard(?)
Another Pokemon from outside Indigo, Lupa is from the region of Alola. Received after defeating Team Rocket in Viridian, this rock type has shown itself as a scrappy little monster that won't back down until the very end. Creating an improvised move dubbed 'Rocky Guard' as both an offensive and defensive tool, this rock type is constantly aggressive within a battle and Evandros has complemented the canine's battle style with his current moveset. A very close-ranged fighter who sometimes ignores his trainers order for a couple extra hits on his opponents, this rock type might have difficulty facing off against tricky opponents.
Woody (Species name: Sudowoodo)
Ability: Rattled
Moves: Tearful Look, Defense Curl, Rollout, Copycat, Rock Throw, Rock Polish, Stomping Tantrum, Hidden Power (Ice), Dig, Mimic, Grass Knot, Hammer Arm, Thunder Punch, Rocky Guard(?)
Woody was caught as a Bonsly within Viridian Forrest and although he has less than stellar showings within both the Pewter and Celadon gyms, this rock type has always put a decent showing and has been showing decent growth due to its new evolution and the introduction of its new favorite move Mimic. This close range fighter has decent long range options for protecting himself while also being an absolute tank thanks to its evolution. Using grass, water, and steel types against this Pokemon may be a wrong choice as the latest clips of him have shown very swift defeats thanks to the new boost in power.
Pearl (Species name: Clamperl)
Ability: Shell Armor
Moves: Water Gun, Rapid Spin, Clamp, Iron Defense, Confuse Ray, Rain Dance, Shell Smash, Brine
Evandros' second Pokemon that originates from the Hoenn region, caught sometime between his gym battle in Pewter and his entry within Celadon, this water type has shown great utility as a defensive and offensive Pokemon due to its moves Iron Defense and latest move Shell Smash which it was speculated to have by @HappinyHater666. This water type gave a decent showing within the Vermillion gym and has a higher official win rate compared to its fellow teammates. A more straight forward long-range battler than Ralts, this water type simply needs a bit more variety in its moveset before it can become a dangerous threat.
Dee-Dee (Species name: Indeedee)
Ability: Unknown
Moves: Heal Pulse
This Pokemon is a non-battler and Evandros probably travels with this psychic type for personal reasons as Dee-Dee doesn't battle and wasn't with Evandros until he left HopHopHop town. As a non-battler, Evandros is not allowed to use her in an official and unofficial battles otherwise his trainer ID might be suspended. We moderators speculate that the young trainer simply travels with the psychic type more as a friend and less as a trainer.
Wooper
Ability: Unknown
Moves: Unknown
His newest catch. Not much is known about Wooper aside from his typing and gender.
----------------------------------------
Samuel stretched his back, sighing at the kricks that came from staying seated for too long.
He looked back at the screen, at how the world was slowly being shocked around the entire world by a new discovery. He idly wondered if this was Evandros's plan or if it was a happy accident.
He felt guilt that the young trainer didn't have a full battling team of six to defend himself against those poachers.
He often felt regret, from past failures and the pressure of being associated with himself might had caused.
Spending a bit more time to look at the rest of his new lab trainers, alongside some of the more notable new trainers, Oak stood up a sigh and headed over to his assistants to see what they've done so far with their current research.
He was starting to feel old. Older now thanks to his new grey hairs.
Another buzz from his personal cell caused him to sigh in exasperation, no doubt yet another one of his friends in the scientific community and he was pleasantly surprised to find it was his grandson Blue calling his phone.
Samuel answered and forgot all his worries for the next few minutes, feeling lighter than he ever had in years as he happily spent time with a family member that didn't hate him.
