Beginning’s mayhaps

Pokémon

Pretty self explanatory, one word and you know that Shaymins gonna hit the fan.

In a world where your dog can turn into some type of omega god if you don’t have an eviolite, or that evolution prevention stone some of the adults say is necessary to have, it makes one wonder about life.

Is it worth living in such a dangerous and unpredictable world?

The answer is… HECK YEAH!

Being a Pokémon trainer’s the coolest thing to ever happen even more so since people found out about evo stones, mega evolution, z-moves, dynamaxing, teracrystalization, need I go on.

Tomorrow marks the day I, Evandros, get my Pokémon license, become a Pokémon trainer and the first step to becoming a Champion with a capital C. A dream many wish for but few succeed, even my dad really wanted to be one once upon a time.

Of course there's a lot to consider before becoming a trainer like your typings on your team (to mono or not to mono), the national stats of a Pokemon (created for a basline on a Pokémons’ potential), what type of moves to train (tale of Goldilocks and the three ursarings), a theme, which gym to take first, which region to go next circuit, how many Pokémon you’re even allowed, etc etc etc etc. Its all neat stuff like picking the team comp on an mmorpg or a moba game, its all about experience and reading about the gameplay and such.

Its just unfortunate that I’m not a reincarnated Pokémon trainer or some rando from another world, those library books fueled many little kids into finding Solagleo or Lunala; too bad staying up all day and night doesn’t summon those particular Legendary Pokémon, only Darkrai or Cresselia. But considering that Professor Oak is going to give me a Pokedex as well as Pokeballs and a starter, I think I’ll be able to get all the information I need from the little mechanic encyclopedia on all things Pokémon.

I mean, I've already started reading up on a bunch of cool Pokemon like Heracross and Salamence, plus we had to do a lot of tests and studying to get ready for our journey just to make sure we don't do anything dumb on our journey like not taking care of our Pokemon or heading over to areas we aren't supposed to be traveling at like Victory Road which trainers with five badges or more allowed to travel through. That's actually the very first hurdle to becoming a champion, tests... it honestly makes sense now that I think about it.

Most people just give up being serious trainers after their first battle and just accept their fate as a mediocre trainer or go and try other professions like rangers or coordinators, some just give up outright. Have I been saying trainer too much?

Not me, hehe, since I’m plannin to be the cream of the crop; stronger than heavyweights like Lance Blackthorn, Cynthia Shirona, Steven Stone, and last but definitely not least Leon. Having people like these help set goals to others and is a good marketing scheme for stores to overprice stuff like pokéballs, evo stones, and held items; for that there is no doubt. Thankfully, poke balls and a lot of the standard stuff doesn't really increase in price since the league keeps a really tight leash on that sorta stuff.

And certainly scum like Pokémon hunters, gangs (like the one in Alola or Indigo’s very own Raikou Raiders) and evil organizations like team plasma which for some reason no one believes me when I say their evil little nasty plotting Togepi with tiny little- … its just mean telling people to ditch their close friends just cuz Pokémon seem a bit scary in their eyes, plus the hypocrites all seem to have a pokéball on their person with one creature or another.

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

I’m glad they only stay in Unova otherwise I woulda noped myself right into Galadia or Alola like any normal citizen that hates evil old mens’ guts. Why, if I got my partner tomorrow I might just be tempted to just run and kick team plasmas’ lapras and maybe their ekans right at it.

Before my imagination can even begin to imagine using Lugia themself on those bunch of bozzos (my greatest dream which I never forgot for some reason or another, still hella cool) a duo of Eevee’s jump onto my bed and snuggle with me.

These two cute fluff balls are two perfect examples of what happens when idiots listen to that Arceus awful organization, I found the brother and sister 3 days after their trainer left them in the wild when they were visiting from Unova and since the two were bred to perfection it meant that they had virtually zero survival skills. We ended up checking and they did previously belong to a ranch and the trainer who released them got a black mark on his account for unlawful releasing of Pokemon or something.

If my mom, the elementary school teacher of our class in Pallet town, hadn’t taken us out for a field trip I never would’ve snuck away (3 years ago and still my nickname is ‘immature’) and found these two mere moments from just giving up. It’s always a little gut-wrenching every time I remember how skinny they were or how thick their fur was with dirt and mud from attack moves by the nearby inhabitants, the worst part was their eyes…

Leaf, the younger sister of the two licked my nose to take me out of my thoughts again, she always knew when I would remember that day and how I always started crying whenever my thoughts completed their cycle on that event. And ever since that day she always stuck by my side even when I went to school much to my mothers amusement and annoyance, all the kids would think I did it on purpose because my mom was the teach and I was gonna keep my cutie Eevee once I got my license.

The other one, Shadow, looked up but kept his cool look like always, as the older of the two he remembered that event to full detail and his tail always stiffens whenever Leaf licks my nose, she doesn’t remember much except she was hungry and I came and helped unlike him. He actually thought that seven year old me was a dangerous Pokemon and his first thought was to punch me in the shins, it probably also didn't help for the two of them that Shadow was an off color Pokemon so his white fur stood out in the forest; it was actually how I found them.

Shadow is always looking at me whenever Leaf isn’t around as if thinking I’ll ditch the two of them the first second I can... probably. He isn't very open about feelings, especially his.

He stays at home all the time except whenever it’s midnight. Then he goes Giratina knows where doing Mew knows what, if I didn’t know any better I would assume that he’s finding escape routes and safe locations for the 2 of them to stay. But I know better, he’s just learning proper survival skills from the local Rattata and Nidoran.

It took two years for him to start letting the duo Eevee snuggle hug which just meant they crashed on my bed instead of their pet beds only because of one cold night where a local Snorunt decided to start making mischief.

I honestly don’t know what I’m gonna do with him since when I asked he refused to join my journey but he still mooches off the household just cuz he’s cute. He’ll probably end up staying with mom, unless one of my friends ends up catching him to take him along but that seems like a stretch since he doesn't really like other people.

Tomorrow.

Just need to sleep and my story begins. Close my eyes; snuggle with Leaf and leave an arm open for Shadow as always, the little stinker decides to sleep at my feet instead but I know he’ll snuggle as well. He can’t stand the smell of feet and is just waiting for me to sleep first.

“Tomorrow our journey begins Leaf just wait you’ll see” I yawn out as my goodnight.

Blinding light, Legends know and unknown all converge at one spot, villains… villains… villains at large causing mayhem, a hero that doesn’t exist, a hero yet to exist, Lugia blasting team plasma buildings left and right with a righteous fury, trials of the island combined with the pokémon league to make the greatest conference to ever exist.

Yeah... that's a pretty goofy dream.
