Chapter 26

"Did you make sure to pack your pokeballs?"

"Yes, Grandpa."

"And did you make sure to bring all your clothes from the laundromat?"

"Yes, Grandpa."

"Good, I remember when your father went on his journey, the poor feller forgot to pack his tent and came back home in the middle of the night."

I nodded along to what grandpa was saying, with Leaf and Dee-Dee out since Lupa had overexhausted himself trying to learn a move alongside his regular training while Ralts and Pearl just wanted some extra sleep since the two were working together to get Brine to do the thing we want it to do.

Grandpa patted me on the back... then began laughing after I stopped overcorrecting myself once I stopped nearly falling over; its not my fault that he's a construction worker.

Once I gave him a hug goodbye, me and my two Pokemon began walking away to the northern exit to head in a straight line to Vermillion. The only reason I hadn't used it before was because it wasn't an official route so typically it would get a ton of rangers patrolling and making sure that people are okay but due to the fact that its only a few days from Vermillion and the fact that there's a town means that it doesn't get as many patrols as a regular route would from the rangers, the authority meant to maintain it mainly being the police. But thats okay since its mainly used by workers and trucks so the odds of anyone trying to steal there would be non-existent.

In no time at all, we managed to go to the road that would take us straight to Vermillion. That was also when I had a pokeball wiggle, which meant that someone wanted to be let out.

Taking the pokeball off my belt, I pressed the button to release Ralts who immediately decided to take over my backpack. She also decided to wear a tiny cap with a slit for her horn that I had bought just for her, something which made Dee-Dee grumpy since when I was buying hats Pearl had 'advised' me to get the normal type a visor cap like the ones old people wear when they go to play bingo. Dee-Dee was not amused by our choice but she easily accepted it after a day or two of having it around to block the sunlight from her eyes.

... Shoot, I forgot to buy my own hat again.

After half an hour of walking I had come to the same conclusion that I always did. That walking is super boring... and I forgot to download songs on my gear again. That meant that the only way to make it less boring would be to talk with the team.

And thats what I did.

Since Leaf would zip this way and that while we're walking and Dee-Dee was a bit too focused on the road- that meant I still wasn't out of the doghouse after that medical evaluation thing- I decide to chat with Ralts.

"So, think you're ready to face Surge?"

"Ra Ralts." She said, conveying to me her confidence and determination.

I then overextended my step and nearly fell; an action that made Ralts yelp as at the sudden displacement and Dee-Dee to forget about her anger with me as she started fussing over me. I waved the normal type away as I found my balance before I spoke again.

I took Ralts out of my backpack and held her, kinda getting why girls like having dolls "Ralts you just spoke to me."

She looked at me like I might have hit my head before tenatively nodding.

"No, I mean like you just spoke in my head. Well, more like you showed me your emotio-" "RAAA?!" Ah. There we go.

The loud exclamation from the little fairy type managed to bring Leaf back to us in a giffy as she looked around for any danger. Dee-Dee waved her off before telling her something- with kind of a shocked tone- but it didn't really interest the Leafeon who just shrugged and decided to walk near our vicinity instead of running off.

Anyway, back to Ralts.

She was still looking a bit surprised about what I said but it was mainly being overshadowed by excitement.

She looked so happy that I just couldn't resist a prank... Pearl was really rubbing off on me.

"Ralts, you do know what this means right?"

"Ra Ra aa lts a?" happiness and expectation bubbling in my head with each word spoken.

This time I didn't misstep and continued speaking. "This means you'll be the official taste tester of everything I make since you can tell me whats bad or whats good."

It was like flipping a switch with how the slightly pinkish body of the tiny empath turned into the white sheet that her non-shiny counterpart would regularly look like. Suddenly, the excitement in my head was replaced with dread and tiny hints of resignement as the psychic type looked at me as if I kicked a Growlithe.

Somehow, I managed to hold my laughter in until I took a picture of her looking like she found out that she had to plan a funeral. The other two Pokemon who were empathizing- or sympathizing in Leaf's case- began laughing at her misfortune of being pranked. It also somehow managed to summon Pearl from her ball since her sixth sense on pranks was tingling.

At some point, I managed to stop laughing long enough to say "But in all seriousness, thats pretty awesome. We'll probably start working on it after beating Surge but for now buying you the TM for Disable was definitely the right call."

Ralts wouldn't talk to me after that for at least a couple hours but I managed to get back on Dee-Dee's good side so I considered it a win.

That was how the majority of day one occurred, me walking with Leaf running around and Dee-Dee on my left holding the egg as Ralts took residency in my backpack while Pearl became the latest fashion trend of hats.

By the time we stopped for the night, I sent out Lupa to use Fire Fang on the sticks that we had gathered to make a small fire and the entire team decided to take turns throwing sticks into the campfire- it was something that I had been learning how to do when both Lupa and Chardon had been with the Professor.

Then we did some nighttime training and took turns on keeping guard while the others slept. There was a complication when a group of Ekans tried attacking us at night but Ralts blew them all away with Psychic before I could even catch one of them. I definitely want a poison type like Koffing or Ekans and the town we were gonna pass has an abandoned factory which houses poison types and a few electric types near the generators. Ooh, or I could buy some shiny coins and toss them so that I could get a Murkrow.

I had that same Lugia dream again.

The morning had me pretty groggy which was kinda unusual but I chalked it up to staying up past midnight as a Watchog. The grogginess left once I started washing my face. This then led to me finding out that my Pokemon were starting to copy my wakeup ritual of freshening up, which was good because that meant that I only had to brush Lupa and Leaf's teeth, clean the egg, and brush Pearl's shell using a highly dense brush and a cleaning cloth.

After we had another round of finding sticks, we had breakfast ala stew before packing up and heading back onto the road. Oddly enough, there wasn't any trucks or cars but that was alright since Fushcia is pretty traditional so they might not have a lot places to store cars and stuff.

Alarm bells only began ringing when the route became quiet, and I don't mean like everybody on the team stopped talking, I mean there was no bird chirpings or grass rustling near us. The only sounds were my team and I walking on the dirt path.

Just to be safe I made sure to send a ping to the official ranger channel just incase before directing Lupa- who was out just like everyone else- to try and sniff out anything strange while directing Ralts and Dee-Dee to sense anything weird. Most likely it was a case of a Pokemon in a new territory or something dangerous happening nearby.

I was proven when Ralts and Dee-Dee directed everyone to look northwest, and since they had a clear range on how far they could sense stuff it was pretty obvious that whatever bad or weird was happening was a walking distance away.

It wasn't really a question about whether I'd check it out or not, I have five Pokemon and one of them is Ralts. Same number as against Team Rocket with the difference being that we were loads stronger, plus with the bonus of being a type generalist meant that I had a team that could adapt to any situation.

If we needed to of course.

We began walking off route towards the place that Ralts and Dee-Dee were pointing towards, since we were going for stealth while keeping the team energized enough for a battle I sent everyone aside from Ralts back into their pokeball's and was right now holding an unused pokeball incase I needed to chuck it at a rampaging Pokemon.

After a short walk where we didn't hear any noise at all, Ralts tugged at my hair to make me stop and thats when I noticed it.

A roar and sounds of fighting.

Since I wasn't worried about being heard just yet, I sent everybody back out and we slowly began sneaking our way to were the fighting was happening. The sounds were generally becoming louder the farther along we sneaked and at some point I was able to see who exactly was making that noise.

A bloody Tyranitar.

Like, an actual, currently bleeding a bit, Tyranitar who's trying to protect itself against four different Pokemon who probably belong to the humans there since there were four humans waiting around and shouting orders when needed. Two of them took out pokeballs and returned a Machoke and Scizor before sending out a Muk and Victreebel who fired two globs of poison that were blocked with haste by the Tyranitar who instead got hit by the Tropius and Cloyster.

Though the biggest evidence that these guys were hunters are the cages that they've got loaded on a couple, big four-by-four trucks and those loading thingees you can attach on the back of a truck.

So, the rangers are already getting my ping so I bump it up from potential danger to an S.O.S signal which immediately gets responded so thats good but that Tyranitar is still getting its ass kicked because it being quadrupal teamed on. Its never fun being in a one v four situation especially when the other team is using your counter picks. That definitely needs a supporter or a tank but these guys are probably way stronger than us and they've got numbers.

Numbers. Thats right.

"Dee-Dee and Lupa you two go around the guys to their trucks and free the Pokemon in those cages, any that want to fight heal them and send them along and heal any that don't and ask them to stay. Lupa'll handle any strong guards they've got on those trucks." I whisper. "Ralts, Leaf, Pearl we need to buy them time and keep those four's attention while making sure Tyranitar doesn't get caught by them so use your buff up moves. Leaf'll be mainly debuffing their Pokemon, Ralts'll be using Disable and Confuse Ray tons of times while using Life Dew to patch up Tyranitar, and Pearl will be mainly fighting." Game plan having been set we all started to move. Oh yeah.

"Dee-Dee wait a bit and then use Heal Pulse on Tyranitar and then go, I can just make it seem like Ralts did it." Nobody actually moved when I said my orders, instead they were transfixed with looking at the Tyranitar's in fear or looking at me like I was telling them that I wanted to rule a city.

Being careful not to arouse suspicion I make everyone move back a bit away from the fighting in the meadow as I adress what that was. They all got pretty upset once I told them that these guys are hunters and were relieved that we'd probably only have to delay the fighting for another ten or so minutes for rangers to arrive.

I restated my initial plan and the normal type nodded before beginning to glow slightly purple. Lupa stayed since Dee-Dee could sense where the Pokemon were.

Once the other three nodded that they buffed themselves enough I gave the signal to Dee-Dee that she could fire Heal Pulse. The light quickly went like a laser beam that connected with the unsuspecting Tyranitar, freaking the rock type a bit before it realized that it's wounds were closing and injuries were being healed and gave a big roar of satisfaction before going on the offensive by aiming for the Tropius.

The four hunters snapped their heads towards the area where the Heal Pulse initially came from and what they saw was a Clamperl, a Ralts, a Leafeon, and me who was behind the other three exiting the treeline.

"Tyranitar is aiming for Tropius so Light Screen any poison moves that Victreebel and Muk try to use, other than that just battle." And with those encouraging words the three rush into battle with Leaf setting up a Rain Dance since she was the fastest and Pearl aiming a Water Gun at Muk while Ralts and Leaf began dealing with Victreebel and Cloyster who were ganged up together.

"Damn kid, stay the hell away from our paycheck. Victreebel use Toxic!"

"Muk use Mud Bomb!"

"Fire away with Hydro Pump Cloyster!"

I didn't really hear what the last guy said since he was too busy worrying about his Tropius currently being bombarded by a smorgasbord of rocks falling from above it by the use of Rock Slide. Also I was making sure to be as far away in the field as possible since I definetely didn't wanna be caught by them.

"Sunny Day, Confuse Ray Pearl."

Sunny Day procced Leaf's Leaf Guard ability which meant that she took point in front of Ralts to protect the fairy type from the Toxic while also weakening Hydro Pump enough that it could barely be blocked by a few Light Screen and dealt minimal damage to Leaf. The Confuse Ray from Pearl made Muk miss its Mud Bomb and gave Pearl the chance to get close to it and use Clamp since it dealt a predermined amount of damage that wouldn't change before using a point-blank Water Gun to shoot herself away from the retaliatory Mud Slap.

The Tropius trainer took out his pokeball and returned the flying type who I just noticed had fainted from the devestating super effective attacks of whatever rock type move that Tyranitar used. This caused all four trainers to lock eyes and then send out all their Pokemon.

Suddenly instead of it being a three v four it was now an eleven v four. These guys are probably masters at using numbers to their advantage. What did mom always say about that one quote.

Jack of all trade, master of none... is oftentimes better than the master of one.

"Ralts and Pearl! Only use Confuse Ray. Leaf use Solar Beam. Tyranitar use a buffing move"

"Machoke and Hitmonlee use Protect!"

"Same deal Muk""

"Wide Guard Sawk!"

Evidently, there was no Solar Beam that came out as all the Pokemon clambered behind the four stated Pokemon. What did happen was a burst of Confuse Ray's, the Growl and Baby-Doll Eyes combo paired with Tail Whip's, and Tyranitar growled as a warning to me before listening and using what was probably Rock Polish since it had the same gleam that Woody would regularly have when he used the move.

"Victreebel get that kid with Vine Whip, Golbat use Sludge Bomb, and Razor Leaf Gloom!"

"Sludge Bomb Garbodor and Muk, Close Combat the Tyranitar Machoke!"

"Cloyster use Hydro Pump, Sawk and Hitmonlee use Close Combat!"

"Golbat use Sludge Bomb, Scizor get that kid too!"

Half the Pokemon didn't listen since they got hit by Confuse Ray's but the other half still followed orders. Ralts used Teleport to get on top of the only Golbat that wasn't confused and started whamming its head with a flurry of Thunder Punches while Tyranitar took the time to use Rock Tomb defensively.

Of course, Cloyster's Hydro Pump shred through the rocky defense like a hot knife going through butter so Pearl had to give her all and gambled with firing off Brine against the stronger water type attack with mild success; the attack didn't hit Tyranitar but it did blast her back into rock type and nearly knocked her out. Scizor was the only one who was aiming for me, since Victreebel was confused, but a quick Flame Charge from Leaf dealt some serious damage on the dual typed opponent, alongside stunning the group of hunters long enough that Ralts had finished beating up her ride and used Psychic to grab hold of all the fighting or poison types. With a clear shot for a full power Hyper Beam right from Tyranitar.

Tyranitar didn't waste any time, it was probably really peeved that these guys had been fighting it for a really long time and were always spread out.

The giant orange beam of light took time to charge, enough time that the Sawk Pokemon and the Victreebel managed to break themselves free from Psychic's hold.

After it was fired on the remaining bunched up Pokemon, Tyranitar took a knee from exhaustion and Ralts took a moment before she used Life Dew to freshen both herself, Pearl and Tyranitar from any physical and mental exhaustion; though it didn't really have an effect on Tyranitar other than making the rock type stop clenching its muscles as hard.

Now there were only Scizor and Cloyster that were close enough to attack Tyranitar but Muk and the remaining Golbat unfortunately only got caught by the fringes of the rock types' Hyper Beam. So there were still six Pokemon on the field.

Suddenly a pokeball- no, an ultraball is flying through the air and makes a hit on Tyranitar's face.

It fell down and opened up with Tyranitar not having enough energy to try and resist.

The ultraball then started shaking after it sucked the rock type up, moving this way and that, before making a clicking sound.

All the guys then shouted in huzzah while I was just standing there wondering.

"Hey Tyranitar, why don't you get out of the ultraball? You do know that Pokemon can freely exit and enter their ball right?" I ask the black and yellow orb. To further prove my point I return Leaf and she lets herself out of her ball the next second. Without her speed buffs but thats unimportant.

...

A pop sound occured and Tyranitar was back up and standing, though it might have been the trick of the light but its cheeks were kinda pink and Ralts was clearly laughing at something. It cleared its throat and roared, issuing a challenge to the remaining six, and I think the circumstances are really affecting the four guys since my best guess is that they never fought against actual human trained Pokemon in a long time. Either that or they don't have counters against Pokemon who use utility moves.

Someone pulled something out of their pocket.

Is that a gun!?!

"Ralts, shield against the humans okay!" I yell as I very energetically run behind some cover.

The guy who pulled the gun out shot it and then I had the epiphany that, no, it isn't a gun and its just a tranquilizer with loaded darts.

My bad.

Either way my action was unneeded and is resulting in the Scizor coming to get me again but everyone is way too far or busy to help.

I wonder how Dee-Dee and Lupa are doing?

----------------------------------------

A little before

----------------------------------------

The dark and thick foliage that was blocking the hunters line of sight was a great boon for the Rockruff and Indeedee. While both knew that they could go with reckless abandon, a thought that made Lupa whine about not doing that, they also knew that any Pokemon that was standing guard would be alerted and ready to counterattack. They both went a little further into the forest since Dee-Dee could sense where the locked up Pokemon were through their emotions.

As the two ran as carefully as possible, they saw glimpses of the ensuing battle. As viewers of the conflict they were able to see subtle things that all the trainers and Pokemon may have missed. The way that the giant beast called a Tyranitar glared at their trainer only a little less than it did to the hunters, the rapid Disable Ralts had fired on Muk to stop it from using Toxic after Pearl had barely smashed the Mud Bomb, or even how the flying four legged thing had landed a ghost move on Tyranitar that immediately made the rock type's movements sluggish even as it fired the attack that knock out the giant Pokemon.

After the initial attacks were all fired off, they ran right to the two white trucks with either blue or yellow stripes on the side and saw the cages.

Black bars held Pokemon inside, some being common ones from the region such as Pidgeotto or Graveller while others were rarer and held more value such as the Elekid that was discharging electricity in its cage in the hopes of breaking out of it or the badly beaten up Sneasel. The cages held a red and white pokeball motif with a key slot in the middle.

"Hey, mind if I break the locks." Lupa asked, tail curled between his legs as he grimaced.

Dee-Dee nodded at the request and that was the only confirmation the rock type.

Simple brown stones began materializing around the rock type's tail before being fired off onto one of the cages. Lupa and the captive Bulbasaur were crestfallen as they saw that the attack did nothing to the cage.

Dee-Dee suspected that was the case, no way would the outside not be as tough as the inside, and she looked at the hunters but didn't notice any obvious keys on their person.

"Lupa sniff for the keys. Little Bulbasaur, have you tried using your vines to open the lock; my trainer is fighting the hunters so you have time to try." And that was all she said before she hurried to the front of one of the trucks and opened the door to begin checking for keys.

Lupa and Bulbasaur took a moment to look at each other before both shrugged and did what the normal type had asked.

None of the other Pokemon had spoken since they were not only unaware of the species of Dee-Dee and Lupa but also from fear of being found out by the hunters and punished brutally. All except for Elekid and one other.

"HEY, HEY, GET ME OUTTA HERE NOW!" Elekid yelled, stopping its electrical discharge to get the two free Pokemon's attention. An act that came with a lot of shushing sounds from the Pokemon near it.

"Have you checked the bluey driving machine. The human who handled the keys left something there." A bruised Kadabra said.

Dee-Dee nodded to the psychic type and went to the front of the white and blue truck, taking a few extra moments to heal the badly injured Pokemon with Heal Pulse.

Once she was inside she began searching everywhere she could, on the floor to the dashboard and even the sunblocking thing that they placed for the people in the front and found nothing but the key to the truck. She then remembered that there was this thing called a glove compartement that John's father had used to store important things like papers or keys to his store when he went driving. Hoping that that was common human behaviour, she used her good hand to open the glove compartment only to hear the jingling of keys. Smiling to herself, she rustled through the storage area and came across a set of keys.

Praying to Sir Calyrex, she began placing the keys she found into a cage holding a family of Graveller. With each wrong key, moral from the Pokemon in cages and the two out of them plummeted. Dee-Dee placed the second last key onto the cage and wiggled it in defea-

The cage clicked and Dee-Dee took no time psychically ripping the handles away to free the three Graveller in the cage.

Spurred on, she moved to another cage and swiftly began unlocking the cages of the Pokemon and freeing them.

Some immediately ran away, some came out of their cages and stayed nearby when asked, while others were simply too afraid to leave their cages.

Lupa had counted about forty six different Pokemon in the cages and of those forty six about seven had ran away as fast as possible, the others staying behind for either healing or for whatever other reason.

Lupa whined when he thought about the other reasons, because that meant that they would go into battle against the 'hunters' which made him remember he was on guard duty against any powerful Pokemon which would make him remember that there wasn't anything guarding the cages which would make him become upset that he didn't get the chance to battle. And all of that combined made him want to rush into the fight and battle all the Pokemon there.

But he couldn't. So he stayed and quietly whined about the injustices of the universe.

Once everyone was healed as best as possible, since Dee-Dee was running out of juice from extensive move usage, they all began shouting about how they'd punish the humans that locked them away.

It was only through great force of will and the Pokemon present being smart enough to know that they needed a plan that they weren't already heading off into battle, something that groused Lupa and more than a few of the Pokemon present.

Dee-Dee, after calming everyone down enough for her to be the only one talking, coughed into her only hand and addressed the Pokemon gathered around her. "Look, I understand better than anyone that you want to beat up the smelly humans that did this to you. I lost my bloody hand because of one of those belching tightwads. But we need a plan because my human and my friends are there distracting the other humans long enough for you to escape. Help will be on its way in a couple minutes," That made a quarter of the mob deflate since they thought that they wouldn't have a chance to fight "but I think thats a bullshit reason to not get some licks in against the idjiots that did this to you. So lets beat their bloody faces in!" and like a switch those who deflated were the tallest standing, their faces clear with giddy or laser focused.

Dee-Dee continued "Now, my human is tinier than the other four and he's gonna be far from the group so Lupa will use Rock Throw to aim at all the Pokemon that we're not pals with and you lot will mob them. Then everyone can get one punch in on each human before they get carted away." and with a sharp snap of her finger the mob ran onto the area with the hunters. Prepared to take some action. Dee-Dee only had a couple more uses of Heal Pulse left in the chamber, hopefully she wouldn't run out of them after the fight is finished.

----------------------------------------

Man, getting caught by your underwear by a Scizor is majorly embarrassing. And my team isn't willing to do anything since Scizor has a claw at my face ready to fire a move at any second. The only one willing to attack is Tyranitar but the team pesistently said stuff that made Tyranitar stand down.

Honestly though. "Guys keep on battling. I read that humans can take attacks like Hyper Beam for breakfast so I'll be fine."

Of course, Scizor decided to smack me on my head using its other claw. I then realized that what I read was a hoax when something wet began sliding down my face, and touching the substance so that I could see it on my fingers revealed that its blood.

Scizor and the hunters were a bit startled by that, and the team became really pale, so odds were that they didn't know that that was gonna happen.

Them being startled was great since a rock type canine I know came onto the field and used Rock Throw on all the hunters Pokemon aside from Scizor.

Then came the wild Pokemon. Lead by Dee-Dee.

It was a slaughter fest.

That thing about the Pokemon not being ready to fight even numbers. It was doubly true when faced off against extra numbers. And the wild Pokemon didn't stop at the hunters' Pokemon, they aimed for the hunters as well.

"... So, since you guys clearly lost. Mind letting me down." I ask Scizor. It huffs before complying and Pearl, Ralts, Leaf, and even Tyranitar come over to me.

The team tried getting hostile with Scizor but a few words to calm them down and Scizor saying something made them not immediately attack. Even though Ralts and Leaf stopped being all tense, Pearl still looked like she was seconds away from attacking.

Pearl. Pearl. Bearl. Barrel.

"Barrel. Ease up, its aight. Scisszroy decided to stoooop, yaknow." All eyes cmea to. em fro som erason.

"Hey DeeDeeDee is hre. And Lulu too." I gspb in del- dle- happy "Yay, is it my birthday?"

Ooooh. Burple.

Wait... what was I just talking about?

The entire team look over me in worry- since when was I lying down on the ground- and Tyranitar, Scizor, and even a Wooper are here too. "What? Did something happen?" They all sigh in relief after I said that.

Wait... memories are coming back.

I put on a dopey grin and point to Dee-Dee. "Oooh, burple likey." And immediately snap the pic of everyones reaction before bursting into laughter.

Pearl joins in on my laughing and, like a switch, the tension in the metaphorical room disappears.

Once the wild Pokemon finish up with beating up the hunters, the rangers arrive with perfect timing.

The next ten minutes is just a bunch of answering questions and waiting for a police truck to cart the bad guys away, who ironically were currently stuffed in the cages that they brought.

Tyranitar had picked up the ultraball that it had been caught in and was staring at it for a while now.

"Hey Tyranitar," it shifted its attention to me "why don't you just keep it." It lifted an eyebrow at me "Well, with the ultraball you won't be able to be caught anymore by any hunters since you already have a ball. Plus there's a neat trick that Beedrill- one of my other Pokemon- does where he can enter and exit the pokeball without me being near it so you could probably sleep in the pokeball in a small cave without ever stepping foot in it. Plus Pokemon can rest up in a pokeball without having to worry about stuff like status conditions afflicting them so that they have enough energy to go around searching for the right berries and stuff to take care of the serious stuff like poison or burns."

It then growled something to Dee-Dee who pulled up some dirt and made a drawing of a cave. Then she shifted it from a cave into smoke? No an explosion! And then an image of the cave but blocked by rocks.

"Oh, you lost your home because of these guys?" A deep rumble that raised the hair on my neck confirmed it. "Well you could either try to find a new home, explore the world, or give a person your pokeball and stay with them." I say as I pet the Wooper. Tyranitar looked at me before nodding and going elsewhere.

Guess that was goodbye. I wave as he goes and I'm pretty sure he saw me.

Once Officer Jenny arrived the Pokemon that were present were all patched up and given a clean bill of health to go back to their homes. Everybody aside from a Bulbasaur, an Elekid, Wooper, and Tyranitar stayed. The Elekid wanted to go with one of the rangers while Bulbasaur took a liking to Officer Jenny who couldn't resist chucking a ball at the grass type who found that they liked carting away bad guys.

I went over to the present officer to give my final statements. "-and yeah, thats basically it. By the way, are you heading to the town between Virmillion and Fuchsia?"

"Yes, due to the fact that I am stationed at Gringey City." Though her smile became wibbly wobbly for a sec when she said the place's name.

"Do you think I can come along for the ride?"

"Of course, I was always going to ask in case you wished to get treatment for..." she pointed the side of my head where I found blood previously.

"Yeah of course. Getting a hospital trip might be the best idea. I got all loopy before Dee-Dee used Heal Pulse so I need to check and make sure that doesn't happen again... and buy some new underwear."

Transportation taken care of I headed back to my team and began giving them thanks for such great before I sent them all back into their balls with promises of treats for a job well done.

Ultimately, I had to stop holding Wooper so I put him down gently onto the ground and patted his head before heading back. Though I didn't take more than three steps when Wooper decided to stand in my way. My mind was beginning to take a trail of thought that was becoming more and more likely since Wooper began nuzzling my leg.

I wordlessly held out a pokeball which made the little water type jump with joy and chitter some happy noises.

"Well Wooper, you can decide what to do once you join the team. Whether its battling, doing contests, or just coming along for the ride. But either way." I tossed the ball in an underhand which let Wooper slap the capture button, quickly being turned into red light as he got sent in.

A click sound gives me the confirmation and I take the ball and place it on my belt alongside the others, who feel warmer than they did five seconds ago.
