The Unseen Damage

What, what's going on. Shit, did I get knocked out?

I lift my body off the ground, stand up and go to take a step, tripping and falling back onto the floor.

I scan my surroundings. Everything... everything's so red. The TV is on the floor, and the table that had been in front of the couch was now across the room upside down. Bodies lay on the floor in pools of blood. Looking around I see the two brothers lying next to each other. The one who I had stabbed in the arm with his big knife now laid next to his brother with his head turned too far backward for it to not be broken. His forearm with the knife in it now rests over his younger brother's throat, the knife sticking through it and out the back into the wooden floor. Across from them Bryan Cole, aka Chipped-tooth motherfucker, lay on the ground his throat cut so far open that his head now lays on his own back facing the ceiling.

"I don’t remember..." I back up, my feet hit something and I fall to the floor catching myself in a sitting position on the ground. My legs laying on the thing I tripped over, the person. A girl. Her face was so beaten it was hardly recognizable. Her neck had handprints around it. She laid on her side facing me.

"FUCK!" I crawled away from her eventually running into a wall. I sat there shaking terrified of the sight I was seeing. Terrified of what it meant. I looked at myself. My hands were covered in blood despite my being uninjured, my clothes soaked in so much blood it couldn't possibly be my own.

"Did...Did I do this?"

Looking to my right I look out the front door that was being held open by the doorknob, it was plunged into the drywall. Dim, dispersed light started to brighten the sky making it just a shade lighter than the night, the stars beginning to hide behind it.

How long have I been here?

Tobie stood on the front porch looking up at the sky, his back to me.

"You're here?" I walk toward the door, a smile starting to form on my face before I remember what he said to me last time. I reach out, my hand passing through the doorway first.

"You were right, please! help me!"

Tobie turns around, his eyes red with tears, anger on his face. Turning his head away from me he speaks softly, "No."

I pass through the arch of the door as Tobie turns away from me, walking off the porch and across the road, fading away more with each step. My hand falls to my side, "What’s happening to me?"

WHAP!

Everything goes black.
