75. The Boys

I roll off my back, holding myself off the ground ready to evade a counterattack but nothing comes. Carnie only rolls around slowly in a daze from the blow. I knew it wouldn't knock her out so just dazing her is more than enough. She reaches up for me, I grab her wrist and slam a kick into her elbow causing the crowd to burst with chatter.

"Jesus he broke her arm!"

"Oh my god, he just broke her leg too!"

"Why isn't the fight being stopped?"

"Don't you know? Carnie can heal to a degree so she's allowed to take more damage than the rest of us. That's why everyone watches her fights, to see the gore."

"Of course I know but this is too much! She normally breaks her own bones to get out of situations but no one has ever done this to her! This is just, just cruel!"

Cruel? What about this is cruel? She can heal from everything I've done and all while still trying to kill me! You couldn't even consider this torture with her pain tolerance! The proof of that being the fact that even with breaking two of her limbs it still wasn't enough pain to snap her out of the daze she's in. Sure, I had stomped and slammed her head into the platform to make sure she would stay out of it, but I doubt that did much to prolong her daze. No this isn't cruel, this is necessary to win!

I lift up her head and place it under my arm, making sure my arm was wrapped tight around it. I prepare to lurch my body back to generate the necessary force to snap her neck.

""STOP!""

Two voices shouted at me simultaneously, but they were completely different in tone. Only one felt meant for me. I looked in the direction of the voice and saw Red, her fingers were no longer visible since they were gouged into the concrete that the platform was made of. Her body position suggested she had stopped right in the act of leaping onto the stage. It was her voice that had grabbed me and was the only reason I had stopped. I looked at her, and her I, the pain on her face and in her eyes was something I had never seen before.

While we stared at each other the other voice rang out once more.

"Stop, this match is over. Tom is the victor. Red there is no need for you to interfere, I had already made my decision to stop it."

The bitch in a box continued to speed but I couldn't listen, not with this weird feeling. Carnie's voice penetrated my ear. I had her head under my arm and that naturally put her right behind my shoulder and close to my ear. I know this but it still scared me when I heard her voice which seemed to be right next to my ear.

"You got lucky this time... a little longer and I would-of had your little boys!"

The weird feeling grew and I was able to place it. My balls! A hand was wrapped tight around them and only seemed to be growing tighter by the second. When did she?

"Oh, don't worry, I'll let you keep them for now."

I felt two light taps on them. Even with how light they were it was enough to cause me to hunch over and reflexively protect them while Carnie slipped out from under my arm. She stood up in front of me while I remained on my knees holding my stomach now. Carnie then threw her broken arm straight out to her side and it flapped a few times before going limp at an angle it shouldn't have been able to.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

"Dammit, it never works the first try!" Carnie then repeats the action except for this time the arm became rigid with a loud popping sound. She held it out a second and looked it over before reaching down and adjusting her broken leg. This time there was no popping sound but more of a bone against bone grinding. She had put all her weight onto her good leg while she stood so there was no chance she was going to fall over. A few moments later she nodded in confirmation before slamming her once broken leg down with all her might. It hit the platform with the loud slapping sound of her barefoot hitting it. I then heard the crumbling sound of rocks behind me so I looked over to Red who was pulling her fingers out of the platform edge.

So the bitch in a box was talking to Red, and Red was talking to me. I'm surprised Red even said anything, I would have expected her to just rush in and plow me down, although I'm glad she didn't. The once chattering crowd was now silent, probably due to her display of healing that she had put on.

Carnie then put her hand up into the air, "I lose!" She walked over to me and stepped uncomfortably close to me, "You can brag about this if you want. You've impressed me with your growth, your old scrawny tight-little-ass wouldn't have been able to slam me like that, it made me feel like a woman when you pounded me into the ground."

I could feel the shudder of disgust run down my spine at her words. "Please, for the love of god, stop talking like that."

While the way she spoke was the main thing that bothered me, it wasn't the only thing. I had nothing to brag about after this fight. The only reason I thought I had a good chance was that she doesn't have her claws and she wasn't at full strength. I turned out to be wrong about her strength level, who knew she would be able to recover so fast after not eating for so long, but the fact remains. Without her claws, she isn't nearly as tough as she would normally be and even with that it was still a draw. She had me in the palm of her hand when I had thought I was in control. I don't even want to know what would have happened if I had snapped her neck. Would she have taken my boys away? No, surely she wouldn't do that, she knows I can't heal like her... oh god. What if she did it because she knows I have Veronica's healing solution.

"I'm okay Red-Red, I promise. Anyways I was able to cop a feel for you, want to know about it?"

"What, I didn't..."

"Calm down girl! I'll tell you later in your room."

Looking over my shoulder while I contemplated the possible futures of my balls, I saw Red's crimson face. She quickly looked away from me, grabbing Carnie in a bear hug and carrying her away silently... well Red was.

"Red let go of me bitch! You are squeezing too hard! Come on, I'm going to tell you so you don't have to try and squeeze it out of me! Just because I can fix my back doesn't mean you can break it, if I wanted someone to break my back I would--"

Red instantly slid her hand over Carnie's mouth and carried her out like that the rest of the way.

Jason stood at the end of the arena entrance as I was leaving it, " Not bad, you did better than I would have."

No way, "Have you fought Carnie before?"

"No, I would never fight a little girl."

I see what you did there jackass.

"And I heard that."

...

"Come on, Carnie said she would meet up with you at the cafeteria."

"Why would she want to meet up?"

"From what I gathered she doesn't want Red to hold a grudge against you because that would mean, Red thinks you were able to hurt Carnie. By having a meal with you after the fight, in Carnie's mind, proves that she doesn't give a shit about you. Speaking of Carnie, don't ever tell her I wouldn't fight her."

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. From what I could tell by their short interaction back when Carnie cleared out the training room to fight me, she seemed to have some respect for, or even fear of, Jason. If she knew Jason wouldn't lay a finger on her she would probably torment him non-stop.
