Not even half a second after last time
I guess killing is fine. though the taser will leave something to be desired, I will probably have the small rivet to my right named after me, it goes for miles, and my accelerator did it. besides the accelerator, extinction rays, and the taser, what offensive options do I possess SAV?
[accelerating perception, you possess a few males options at your disposal. Begin recording 'The normal punching and kicking and all that, plus biting and scratching, we made your design also compatible with any conventional melee weapons too. though you do have an extra option. Geoff, the freak, let you designate tangos as biofuel, so vore too I guess...' end recording.]
fuck you, Geoff. though I guess its an option.
melee is out, there are too many of them. so either my accelerator or my 'breath attack' the extinction rays. need to rename that, (suggest a name, the edgier the better) what to choose, what to choose.
SAV, which one has the highest probability of leaving at least one survivor?
[they both have an equal chance of 0.02%]
damn, I guess it is a little powerful. eh, might as well invoke fear into would-be attackers. extinction is then.
"so you have chosen... death?" I say out loud after resuming normal speed, subtly charging the rays, beams? cannons. "what? we didn't even say anything, it's doing something! attack it!" says the leader, guess he could see the sides of my mouth start to glow.
and they rush over the bridge, well, some of them do. the ones that rush to the front jump off their horses and draw their sword, before covering the rest of the 3ish meters themselves. can't let them get close, so I use the taser to send them back. this is when I notice the ones in the back start to... chant I guess? and then the melee attackers get a yellowish sheen to them before they attack again. the electricity from the taser just glides around them now, so they are probably buffed by the spellcasters in the back. "Victoria, go!" you thought I forgot about their target? no. I'm buying time, also don't want her to be afraid of me when she sees the extinction rays fire.
some are trying to flank around me to get her, so I train the extinction rays on them and fire the low charge beams, it drains some of the charge I have gathered for the full blast, but it's fine, I see what the damage is. I didn't even use 5% of the full charge and the guys head just evaporated. oh yeah, when did you think that I couldn't fire things prematurely?
that little display gets the mages or whatever to focus on something else. though they have to stop buffing the front attackers to do it, I take the opportunity, testing out the claws that I seem to have, shredding one guy's breastplate. I can take that for the iron later, but now I use my tail and impale a guy behind me. hey, that rhymed, kinda. at around 28% right now, though I guess I could fire now if 5% was about half a meter in diameter. just angle them inwards and use them like energy scissors powered by the sun. and this is when the wizards finish their spell.
I can feel some of the accumulated energy vanish, and I'm back at 3%. they have delay tactics, shit.
----------------------------------------
the power it has generated has mostly vanished now. if only a fraction of the power that dragon was bringing to its mouth could do THAT to a person, even after that whole magic item ray. I shudder nothin' what it will be like if we allowed it to charge completely.
I was the one to suggest siphoning off the energy gathered by the dragon to the company scroll of mages, use it to help power a strong attack in retaliation. but now all that was good for was to buy time for the high inquisitor to escape with his life. even now, I can feel that that creature is gathering more energy for use in... something, that could erase the mana that it touched.
such a thing is paradoxical, how could a being that was formed of mana, for the most part, use something that not only had no mana cost, only energy, AND deleted mana? if I wasn't about to die, I would have loved to study its effect. maybe if the dragon were to spare me, I could offer it my services?

My name is High Inquisitor Vaelius Surantha. My name is also Yontaro Kira. I was 19 years old when I died and was reincarnated into the game world of First Fantasy XII. I was hit by 2 trucks at the same time, in a head-on collision with each other. Being my favorite game, I made a name for myself fighting off monster attacks from my village, I guess it also helped that I had the same system from the game.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
you could say I was reincarnated as the main character of First Fantasy XII. And being the epic gamer that I am, I capitalized on my meta-knowledge. I 'discovered' the easter egg sword Gram, the sword that could be upgraded indefinitely. and used it to make an even bigger name for myself.
I followed the main story until just before the stakes were raised to world-ending levels. the, I broke off. killed the big bad before he could get worse. of course, because of that, the highest total I could receive was High Inquisitor. But that is only a few steps down from the Savior title.

Almost all my attributes were maxed, but I can't seem to upgrade erasure defense. And that attack that destroyed that fighter was all erasure. and then I scanned the dragon.
Error, over-limit
Then I booked it. not taking on an optional boss when I didn't even have the balls to fight the final boss.

I have 30% charge, might as well just fire now. if I waste any more time they might just take it away again.
then again, is 30% even enough? what if it was just a linear increase? and now it would only be about 3 meters across? the spell slingers don't seem to be stopping the buff chants again, so maybe I can keep going. I melee killed like 3 goons now, I'll check level progress with the system after. good thing is, victoria zoomed off, so I might be hearing rumors about me being benevolent from the common people, and me being evil incarnate with the nobility. At least, I hope there is nobility here, wouldn't be much of a fantasy setting without it.
And the leader ran away. the worst possible escapee, I wouldn't have minded one of the soon to be PTSD induced goons to write the report overembellishing my abilities. 44% will have to do I guess, firing now.
opening my mouth and jumping back, I let the cannon charge at the front, causing balls of plasma to stick to the ends of the tubes where the attack comes out of. "it's going to use its breath! run!" I hear random goon #21 shout to the rest of the attacking party. and when i feel that all the stored charge has been used, I release my hold on the attack.
hoo boy, its an exponential blast, angling outward. the streams of pure black and red energy, pretty cliche for what I'm assuming is a world-ending attack at full power, quite literally annihilate everything that comes into contact with it. I'm guessing because of anti-matter bullshit, but why do i have anti-matter bullshit before I have magic bullshit? SAV, any extra things that I can do with these?
[you are able to angle the barrels of the ray inwards to further concentrate the energy, furthering the distance and damage at the cost of spread.]
that is very useful, do I happen to have remote access to the unnamed base? (choose a name here too)
[affirmative. you are able to expand the facility into any direction as long as you have sufficient materials and provided there is no substance effectively indestructible in the way of the build area]
cool, cool. have to get a name for the base though, maybe I could rip-off something. like the SCP Foundation? Site-19? confuse enemies into thinking there are at least 18 other bases?
when the energy supplying the attack ends, it just flickers out of existence, and a very cone-shaped crater is left over in its wak- oh hey! is that iron?
