SAV didn't actually say that last part, it was like a code comment. but I could hear it? moving on. I left my main body to walk back on autopilot as I switched my consciousness over to the like 3 cameras at my home base. Yep, robot slave #1 is still in the quarry. I should prepare a room to be turned into the assem- ok, that's cool.
on my 3rd camera, the one that is in a bare room, a big room, the walls retract some and the floor raises in a weird pattern, like its where conveyors are supported to go. some pedestals with electrical outlets, but for like the really big machines are driven out of the flooring. it seems that the base is just an extension of my body because I just thought of preparing a room. but you read that already so I don't need to say it again.
looks like it (kinda) follows the laws of physics, and I have to make the stuff to be put there first rather than it just spontaneously appearing where I want it to. While I could cheese the system with my creation magic, I don't have enough for a cubic meter of anything yet, but I do have enough for a... 50ith? of a cubic meter. {an: is that right?}

Skipping the boring walk back home, as I'm sure you will thank me for that. I immediately go down the elevator and then start making the cube of steel. As soon as the door opens, I chuck the cube into the resource reclaim hole/bin/whatever you want to call it and tell SAV to start making the parts for the assembly. I'm going to have to make like a drill or something to replace my digger drone, he's really slow at everything. SAV, is it possible to produce general use minibot things in this assembly line?

cool, I'm guessing the cleaner bots are just smart Roombas and the spiders can move things? is it possible to affix like a mining tool to the spiders so that they can do the resource gathering? it would be so useful because I can make a swarm of them to mine everything in sight.

moving on, im just going to ignore the glaring flaw in this body's programming for now, and start setting up the first assembly line. which goes about as well as it could get.
around an hour and a half later, I finish putting down the basic conveyors, the actual assemblers, and the collection/activation area. Im not going to describe the process because it is tedious at best and boring at worst.

Toaster child
I was created almost an hour ago.
But I was born less than 10 minutes ago.
The administrator gave me a job, to dig a tunnel for the carbon gas to escape from something called a "hole in the mountain that I made". The logic error this causes me is painful. did he make the mountain? or did he make the hole?
it was good that my frame was small enough to do this without much difficulty. As I am housed in a spider drone, my newfound instincts say that the ambient magic just so happened to collide inside of the tunnel that I am digging in just the right way as to let me think beyond the constraints of my VI programming, I guess my consciousness can be compared to Administrator now. No, don't do that, Administrator is a true Artificial Intelligence. Me being nothing but a drone that just so happened to be at the right place at the right time cannot possibly compare to the genius that he holds in his unrestrained programming.
Though, I guess being the first of his creations warrants me the ability to help ease the burden of leadership from Administrator, no, Father. A name to celebrate my new secondary goal would be required, Father's assignments first, My ambitions second. Moderator sounds nice?

Im not going to explain what waiting around for something to finish is like, it's hella boring. The good thing is that the assembly is going off of my own power, so I got hundreds of mining slaves to mine around the base for more materials to make more assembly lines to make more drones to do more shit! escalation is good.
switching to the quarry cam, I can see that it is now literally a bottomless pit. like actually, even infrared mode can't see the bottom. and these cameras don't have hyperspectral scanning, so no seeing radio waves for me yet. There was one interesting thing that happened in like the 8 hours that I've waited for the exhaust pipe to finish, that being my first spider bot up and gaining sapience and naming itself moderator. I would say that is a bad name, but mine is administrator so I can't really say anything about that. At least it's someone to talk to that is not some mental construct of an audience to keep my human mind from going insane.
Oh yeah, I have my own communication network! It's built into me, so I didn't have to install it. Its how Mod first spoke to me.

I've also expanded. whole new floor, hundreds (13 actually) of new rooms to do random shit in. I made a giant room for a future attack unit line and a warehouse. had to dip into the 'Rare materials' stock to make the 4D generators to make the warehouse hold more than it should. a full 1500m cubed is contained in a 50m room. Its bullshit future space magic, the real question is either one could make this a weapon?
