Living after a time of change, life was full of creativity and boredom. Many ways to circumvent them were created, books and boardgames were the first ones. Books were always popular, not the scientific ones, no those would induce even boredom in their readers.
But reading always came at a cost and one had to be committed, so many preferred boardgames. Even when books became cheaper than those, and when the change from boardgames to videogames happened, not to say the former disappeared… this still wasn't a reason to read books for many.
This was never an issue for him. He liked reading, it was an expression of art that induced the creativity of one's imagination the most. Two could read the same book, and for them, the landscape, a house or even a person described so much in detail would look different.
This was why, with reading as an inspiration, he started many things written in his dear books. He wasn't a master in it, that was for sure, but it never hurt to start with dancing when you read the stories from Cinderella, maybe one day this would be the chance for him?
It also didn't hurt to go into different genres and learn how to scheme, to build and destroy kingdoms, to practice evil curses, draw wizardly circles, make pills with alchemy, draw talismans, drive away ghosts or meditate to pierce the heavens and learn the Dao.
This of course could only be done in proper attire and during real roleplay. Being a rather shy person, he didn't really like doing those meet-ups which were more often than not people being very desperate for social interaction, something he couldn't relate to. So, he spend time, a lot of time, drawing his ideas or playing them out in games.

This is the story of him, he who transgressed into a game he played that was made on the basis of a long series of his favourite book. The game so fantastical and so… extensive with so many genres, he was fascinated with it, so much that he died because he didn't take the recommended rest after each session, well it was only one session! A very long one…

I will write the novel in a book-ish format, so each chapter might end at 1.600 words, but the next chapter will just continue like there is no break inbetween. Only the end of a book will be a larger event with a small closure. I recommend anyone reading the book to read when the book is finished and as a whole, because a lot of things will happen. This also means that there won't be any cliffhangers, at least no intentional, so you might as well think of the book only being capped by the daily output.
The pacing will be fast, as unlike other novels where cultivators can live for thousands of years but everything happens in a matter of just a few years, this novel will span numerous years. Just for Book 1 I am planning around 10 years at minimum, each following book will only span longer times.
There will be extensive world building, even more in the early chapters, but it will never stop. I am introducing a massive world, Alaric will never have the chance to experience everything but he will experience a lot of the things. The book also won't end after he becomes a god-equivalent, you could say this is just a large milestone, far from the end. As for the end? In all honesty, I am not sure yet. I have planned events for up to chapter 200, and even then it's still far away from godhood, so we might enjoy a very long story!
I am writing another novel currently, and the end of my first novel will also be a 'large'-ish milestone for the Panartis! The MC's will most likely meet, but Alaric will stay as Panartis' MC forever. Other of my novels will also find a way into this world, but you can see them as side-stories for this novel if you are interested! But, know that currently, neither my first nor any other novel I started is at a point of contact with the massive world of Panartis. The world has a name, don't worry, but no spoilers.
