Alaric looked to be struggling even more, but he reluctantly gave in and said “Alright, miss. Since we met each other, fate should be with us. You may travel with me to the Central Continent tomorrow. Do you have a place to stay? Since we have tickets, we can already board the ship. It might just be a bit messy.”
The young lady shook her head and said “I have no place to stay. This waiting room has been my place of stay for several days, the branch said they would contact the southern continent and the Elf realm, but since it took so long, they probably didn’t use high communication, probably the lower ones which will take several days to be delivered. If what lord said is true… then they probably truly used the lowest one or… the Elf realm is not very welcoming of outsiders, since I have no identification on me, it will land in an administration building. I heard from my aunt that each of these buildings are packed full of work, it might take weeks till I hear something.”
Nodding thoughtfully, he walked forward as he swished his hand in the purple robe, signalling her to follow. He had acted nice enough by now, since the other party took his favour, there was no need to be too fake.
His goal in this? Of course it was to get her to join the Violet family! Just look at her taste of colour, all purple! They are truly fated. Unfortunately, the Elf realm has always been stricter in this regard, but her parents don’t live, and her aunt is, although caring, always busy and doesn’t have much time for her. Emotionally, she can be convinced. The aunt? Well, she will also somewhat be convinced, especially after knowing that Alaric is married and doesn’t have such thoughts of her niece. Basically, he would make himself the uncle of Varia!
He would only have to somehow make her truly like him, then he’d nanny her, take her into the family. The difficult question was whether he could even make her a family head since she was a single person, it was better to make her a guardian with the goal of making her a family head. It would be great to have Elfs in his family!
As for why he was so excited? There are six factions in the Elf Realm: Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Light and Dark Elfs! Varia was a Dark Elf, but she had a major affinity for Space! Her Space affinity was equal to her Dark affinity, which a very rare case, since her Dark Affinity as a Dark Elf is naturally high, and she is of Noble origin, naturally it’s even higher! Combined, they would be as strong as Illic’s Shadow affinity, and he has an extremely high one! In the game he had 80 out of 100! This was something gods could achieve for sure, but mortals? It really is a surprise how he could have that high of a number, he’d have to be the son of a Major God! Varia might have a god-aunt, but her parents were mortals, her having an affinity comparable to Illic is very exciting!
He wasn’t sure of her future path, maybe a space mage that is protected of all dark alignments and shields against light, or a dark mage with extreme AOE effects, it didn’t matter, as long as he took her in, she’d be his niece and could do whatever she wanted, he’d tutor her regarding these things and make sure she becomes successful.
The group soon exited the building. A light breeze came upon Alaric’s face as he took in the panoramic view. This harbour was one for Airships, after all! So, naturally, it had to be in the air! There are harbours that just use the ocean as an entrance for airships, but the southern continent’s main harbour was stationed on a really high mountain to ensure no issue when starting. The extra flight would be helpful in man ways, but the most important was that it was cool. Small continents had to be quality-wise better if they want to compete.
Kendrick, Keen and Illic had never seen anything similar, so they took a moment to enjoy all the greenery and rockery around the whole place.
Behind them was a large building made of white marble, somehow blending it perfectly well into the surroundings. They took a few steps and a bridge appeared in their view, one leading to many different platforms of similar design.

Walking around, they finally arrived at their port. The harbour above is actually only the main centre and there is an elevator of sorts that leads up and down, below was the real city while above was only the administration for teleportation and travelling. Obviously, people that teleport here do not intend to stay for the city.
At their port was a large ship docked. It was a small to middle sized ship, enough space for a few thousand passengers and some materials, mainly focused on compatibility and comfort, exactly what you’d expect from a passenger ship.
The ship was fully red, had small sails in the back and large ones in front. At the back of the ship is a circular glass window-like construct that has a white glow with gold rims, which are actually formations and runes, as this is the main movement engine.
A large white bridge connects to the red airship, a few guards standing in front of it. Alaric and his group approach the bridge as Kendrick takes out the tickets he just put away. Exactly five, a bit of a surprise to Varia, but she doesn’t comment on it.
The guards check the tickets with magical scanners before they bow their heads as greet “Welcome abroad the Great Envelope!”
With a nod, Alaric walks on the white bridge that seemed to have no anchor at all. Servants seemed to have been notified of his arrival as he is taken to the business-class housing. It was in an apartment-style, three simple single bedrooms and one master bedroom, as well as a small living room and bathroom. Fortunately, hygiene was advanced in this world.
Alaric didn’t spend too much thought as he told everyone to first look at their rooms before coming into the living room. And so, they did. Alaric and Illic’s room as the master room, which was slightly larger, everything was in chinese style though. One could assume from the ships name and how it looked, but especially the master bedroom looked a bit festively decorated. The bed was heightened and enclosed in wood, it had a basic bedding, blanket on the side and pillows behind. The front of the wooden enclosure was circularly opened.
To the side was a small table, a lamp and some seats. It all looked pretty simply, the ‘simple’ single bedrooms would probably look even more basic, which turned out to be true as Alaric talked with Kendrick and the others after a quick overview of the room.
“Our rooms also have a bed and a table, but the room is smaller, and the table is directly next to the bed without a seating, so one would probably sit on the bed. There are candles on the side for light, nothing fancy, but it is enough for the journey.” Reported Kendrick.
Although it seemed a bit poor for ‘business-class’, it was definitely better than the commoner class, which would be squeezed into communal bedding with randoms, and you’d only have a single bed you can call your own for the next two weeks. Really, great difference!
Now that this issue was over, Alaric looked at Varia as he talked “Once we arrive in the southern capital, I can temporarily seal your soul injuries and heal your bodily ones, but this is only temporal… to truly heal your soul and in turn your body, you’d have to wait till I gain some more cultivation. Your cultivation will also be stopped during the whole time.”
“I- I can’t cultivate for the whole time? How much would it take…?”
Smiling wryly, “I can’t help it either. Cultivation is special for me; I will take a long time to progress. If you are thinking about that… then don’t worry. Your aunt is also recuperating for at least the next ten years or so, by then I will have already reached the requirements to heal you. Also, don’t underestimate the benefits your current situation can bring you.
You can cultivate anew with experience, not make any mistakes and build a stronger foundation while reorienting towards your true goal, your own idea and imagination of what you want to be. I am telling you this because it is important. Take your own path. Not one other dictate you to take. Even if it is your aunt.”
Varia thinks about it hesitantly but nods in the end. I send her away as I sit with the others in the living room. Kendrick seems to have no thoughts as I look at him, with a nod he also goes away. Lastly, I look at Keen. He seems to be indifferent for the first minute, but after some more time, he blushes a bit.
“Keen, you are still young and haven’t seen much of life. Do not think too much about us, and don’t act like Kendrick, okay? What you are feeling is fine, but make sure what you feel is truly what you think it is and not something that stems from your body. You have put restrictions on yourself, looking just as young as Varia, but she is still older than you. Even if you are theoretically already sixteen, older than you look, she is still older than you. I am not going to dictate your life either, but remember that although Elfs age slower, they still experience the same years. Take your time, but if you truly wish so, then I give you my blessings.
