Chapter 17

There are different ways for non-gods or those of equal levels to claim a part of the soul space, but many of them are tedious and normally only happen with the help of those at the boundary between godhood and mortal life.

I, in comparison, have theoretically not even started walking down the path of cultivation, or as magicians call it, I have not even opened up my mana heart. The reason I was able to do so still, is because I used a very special language, one that none of the new gods would know about.

It’s classified as a fully dead language, something very rare in this world, as there have to be just two people that speak the language for it to be called ‘alive’. That means only I speak it, and it is thereby much more empowered.

The older gods that know the language, such as Oianon who will receive a little shock when he hears Onaia’s report, know that it’s a language from a lost origin realm. Realms are worlds outside the main world, the size depends on how you would call them. They go from lesser realms that can be created by mortals, to higher realms, greater realms and lastly Origin Realms.

Higher Realms are created by gods, it is their domain of reign, no matter how large it is, it will never be a greater realm, because the requirement for that is that it contains the domain of more than one. Technically, a long and ancient god could have a realm that is larger than a greater realm that includes five domains, but realms exist the way they do because each domain makes the realm more stable and closer to a real world.

All of them can be called worlds, but in truth, only Origin Realms are true worlds with its own principles. The reason they are called origin realms is simple, their origin is so strong that they don’t have to anchor themselves towards the main world to exist. Origin Realms can also be worlds that initially floated in the void, being an independent world. But they are called realms because they anchored themselves to the Main World, deepening the origin of the main world and gaining the chance to deepen their own origin too. Of course, at one point, the origin will be so intertwined, that separation is too difficult, even though they are their own realms.

The Demon Realm and the Holy Realm are two such independent worlds that became Origin Realms. Two of the deepest Origin Realms that were created by natives of the main world are the Immortal Realm and the Arcane Realm, cultivation and magic are very commonly found in the world because of that. Since they are native, they have it much easier than the demons or the holies to enter the world and create a lineage.

These four are a few of the deepest Origin Realms, deep in that they are Origin Realms, and their landmass and foundation are large. It is of no doubt that if one counted them, then there would be at least four more middle-sized continents. But there are of course more origin realms, their raison d’être is important too, else the four named faction above would fight relentlessly among each other to decide on one ‘ruler’ of the world.

Of course, after they anchored themselves in the main world, they were quick to understand that this simply wasn’t possible. Every continent in the world was once an island, the reason they expanded is of course because several gods in existence died in many conflicts, and their collapsed realms were then claimed by the world, enlarging itself.

Since an island had enough resources to grow a god, how would it not have enough to bring forth even more? The main continent is only this large because it had a lot of conflict, after all. That was also why small-sized continents were so great. They might have less resources, but this also meant that the gods were rather peaceful and wouldn’t be the first to attack and start a war against other gods if they enter their territory.

The Seer Tribe was of course interested in the southern continent’s resources, mainly so in the Origin it represents. But that didn’t mean they didn’t have resources they could exchange with the present gods. It was good that the Laya kingdom was the way it was. It wasn’t a theocracy, the religions thought it was too plain to even build a major church, it’s magic wasn’t interesting enough for the arcane realm, and there was no cultivation culture, so the immortal realm didn’t have any existence here at all.

Most of the other origin realms had a special need for territory they claim, others would only do so if the main population was of their race. Humans are one of the major races, but they didn’t have an origin realm specifically dedicated to themselves, there was no need to since there were enough human dominated origin realms, so that meant there was no origin realm that had direct interest towards the human dominated Laya Kingdom.

All in all, none of the Origin Realms have a direct interest, meaning those that would be leading the continent were greater realms. The Seer Tribe in itself could be a Greater Realm, a strong one at that, if they left the Demon Realm. So, they’d have enough strength to kick out one of the current greater realms over time. But, taking time would give other factions the space for intervention, which would result in even more spent time.

Now, the Seer Tribe isn’t a greater realm but part of the demon realm, they could theoretically call forth allies, but since they are neutral, it wasn’t an option they’d like to take. Meaning, they have the strength of a greater realm, but their rivals would be origin realms. Most wouldn’t bother since it’s an action taken by a single faction of the demon realm and it would cause more loss than profit to intervene, but the holy realm has a long-lasting grudge against demons, and a few of their factions would intervene and attack just for revenge, no matter the cost. Most of the time, it wasn’t for revenge, but for merit and fame inside their holy realm.

All this realm theory is to say that origin realms are rarely lost or completely destroyed. It happened, for sure, but it was rare. And, just a bit less common is the existence of someone that can speak the language of a lost realm, as language was bound to origin, and the attacks of the realm would normally completely destroy any remaining origin.

Now, after so long, it was obvious that these factions wouldn’t care anymore, or they were destroyed themselves, it’s not important anyway. Important is that this language came from a much later book of the author, where he describes the rise and fall of a hero that created an origin realm and died with it.

The realm he created was called the Flower Realm, a cliché realm for a cliché man. The main character… let’s just say, the author had his weird harem-phase, and created a book of a guy that was so into women, he claimed the most beautiful of them all and each of them joined his realm when he created it. He laid the foundation of earth, water and sun, and the women became the flowers that he cared for.

The only good thing about that guy is that his main wife was the Violet, all others were side-wives and concubines. So, I am technically claiming the origin of each of his wives when I pick up a flower of his garden and call myself the owner of it. I only need enough people to acknowledge my existence and origin, and one day, people will think of me when they think of flowers. Of course, normal people would never outweigh the acknowledgement of ancient gods, if I don’t somehow get the whole population to agree on the fact that Violets relate to me.

So, in turn, if I just get ancient gods, say like the Seer Tribe, to accept the fact that flower are actually my thing and don’t have a relation to those ancient goddesses of flowers.

They might know of the existence of these past gods; they just have to accept that the relevance of them is non-existent and that I have more sustenance. That way, I don’t have to first become a god before I can claim a part of the soul space, create a language with powerful origin and more.

I could have also called our house ‘House Flowers’ and the flower1 would be the first lineage, flower2 would be the second lineage, flower3 the third, etc. But that is too close to the origin realm I am using as foundation. The consequences would be dire if something went wrong, like actually reviving the origins with my rise. Why would I want to revive the origin of a bunch of women that have no self-love, joining a harem. Worst case I might even revive the girl fanatic, nah, better I just claim the lost origin and make something new out of it that just copy paste.

That is not to say I won’t use other flowers for other things… like my shop, but that is fine, since technically, there won’t be a deep relation between House Violet and Flower2 Shop, except that I they have a similar origin and that I am the owner. But since they are not ‘grouped’ together, they are independent organisations.
