Epilogue [Ageless]

Epilogue [Ageless]

"Now then," grunted the God King as he sat upon the chair Brutus had vacated moments ago. Whereupon he did make himself comfortable whilst the Lich King bowed a low bow to his person before entering the castle once more. "I will speak of one event before we press on with the conclusion of the story."

The children, upon hearing such words, turned towards his person with great curiosity whilst tilting their heads towards their shoulders. To which he replied with a chuckled before continuing, "During the whiteness which covered the world around us, and before the darkness claimed dominion over all, there were letterings floating within the stilled air above. Ones that were indiscernible, and written in haste whilst their colour was of fresh blood splattered upon virgin snow.

"This hung in the air for a time before ushering in the darkness, where we noted all who perished, but were not natives of Asha'ruun, were given life once more. There, they milled about with great confusion, and yes," his fox-like head bobbed several times, "many were slain due to their involvement with the war between the world and our persons.

"However, they would not stay dead, and it was here that Roj and his Tribunal of Fools did appear. Each of whom were quite annoyed with someone attempting to slay many others within their domain. That is, until they noted our presences."

"You," Roj pointed towards my person as I tore the body of a female Elf in green robes apart with my clawed hands, "You're not supposed to be here." Those still capable could feel the hatred and fear rolling off of their persons as their leader created such an outburst. Whereas the one at the end, the robed Minotaur, did tear away the red cloth in order to charge our positions with its head down and horns extended. The distance, by the by, was of three hundred metres.

Here, I turned towards Shauu and Sia with some boredom in my voice as I ordered, "Take care of the immortal trash who dares to attack my person."

"Yes, my Lord," the pair did salute before dashing off towards the fool of a Tribunal member. Of whom snorted with anger as Shauu's four, metallic clawed hands grasped its horns in front of her to stop the beast's charge. Whereas Sia's clawed hands were stretched to the fullest before rapidly stabbing the body of he who dared to attack my person.

Whereupon it did groan as bright, crimson blood fell to the endarkened earth below. Yes. It did try to fight back, or even to prevent the claws from penetrating even further, but to no avail. For the speed of my Left Hand in all things was something to be envious of, and in this case? She removed the warrior of Roj's group with her quick hands.

After it fell to the ground, unmoving, did Rojaahn appear around their persons with some curiosity. Whereupon he did turn towards my person in order to inquire, "Are you through? I wish to study this specimen."

Shauu frowned towards his person and turned towards my own. Where I did shrug and allowed him to do as he pleased. For although he was one of my servants, and followed my every edict, the Beastman also had his own objectives. Such as researching every creature we came across, and with a Minotaur's body in front of his eyes? How could he not resist such a chance to expand upon his knowledge? Therefore, he was allotted the chance to perform his desires.

Roj and the others, on the other hand, could only watch as all of this occurred. Well, that's not entirely correct, as he and his did try to recruit those who remained to fighting against us, but such was not viable to they who had to endure their deaths from our tactics twice already. Therefore, they wished to escape as quick as they may, and his group could do nothing, but give in to their demands. Which then led to us watching until even the torn apart Elven female disappeared, leaving only we and Melephas alone with themselves.

Whereupon I did direct my Undying, except for Rojaahn, to launch themselves upon the Tribunal of Fools, and to bring each of them to my person. "If a few perish, then so be it," my voice boomed within the space, "but bring before my person their heads."

As this occurred, however, I noted the presence of Melephas who was moping and poking the ground with his right forefinger. When asked why it was he was in such a state, he replied with, "My casino was erased," and noted a crocodile tear slowly trickling down his right cheek. Of which caused my eyes to roll in their sockets.

"You can make another one."

"it's not the same," he whined in an annoying fashion, "I want mine back."

"Melephas," I spoke with an annoyed sigh, "if you continue to pester my person with your grievances, you will be subjected with a punishment from which you will never fully recover from. Understand?"

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

"Aww," the Mage leapt to his feet, and dodged the head of a small female Elf which splattered the area which he had moped, "My big bro is trying to be intimidating. That's adorable," he then grinned and kicked the head off into the distance whilst watching its trajectory.

Yes. I was quite peeved by the chastisement I had earned from my so called "brother", as well as his removal of the head that was to feed my desire for more energy. Whereupon I did point towards his person and barked, "<>!"

Silver chains of bright light erupted all around the Human, quickly wrapping themselves around his wrists, ankles, waist, and neck. Of which then stretched his limbs taught whilst almost strangling his scrawny neck, and yes, I did hear him choke and gurgle in surprise. He even tried to escape with a small struggle against the chains, but to no avail.

"These are used to bind Lesser Gods, Demons, and Extra-Planar entities, Melephas," I grinned as I stalked towards his front in order to gloat a little, "there is no escaping this until I give the order. Therefore, you are my prisoner." Whereupon I did release a maddening chuckle whilst the other only grinned as flecks of his blood seeped around the edges of his mouth. For that which was around his waist was in the process of disemboweling his person, and had to be loosened up once I noted such a thing.

His eyes, on the other hand, were not full of the fear that I expected, but of an excitement which was seen within those who desired to see the outcome of their actions. Of which was not what I desired to see, but would have to do as my servants quickly appeared around us with captives and heads. however, Rojaahn was still at the body of the Minotaur, and did not wish to return to my side at that time.

"What's going on, my Lord God?" inquired Brutus as he dragged the body of a child-like creature known as a Halfling behind his person. This one's gender was unknown at the time, but did not interest my mind. For Iinidra silently handed my person the body of Roj, and was rewarded with a head pat for the gift. Whereupon we each noted her tail swaying with some joy before it stilled.

"Thank you, Iinidra," came my gratitude as I set to work with draining the foolish Tribunal leader of his everything. Whereupon he did illicit a wonderful scream of pain and despair whilst giving up everything to my person. However, it was still not enough, and commanded his body, and all others, to be bound whilst I conjured up the spectral Skeletons who would then send their essences into the void that was hidden within my being. Whereupon they did howl and beg for mercy and release as they were each subjected to becoming yet another power source to fuel my every need.

Upon completion of such a task, I did sigh as a golden light erupted around my body. Of which was then used to dispel the darkness of the Void Space in order to be replaced with the mountain that I had split once before, but found it whole.

This light, by the by, was the return of my Divinity. However, due to the circumstances of being removed by a God King from our world of Terra, I could not return to such a place. Therefore, I decided to remake our kingdom within Asha'ruun until such a time that we could return and retake our world of Terra. For although this one was similar, it did not feel like our home.

"My Lord God," cried out Brutus as he fell upon his clawed hands and knees in obvious worship of my person, "It is so good to see your return to power, my Lord God."

Yes. The others did fall to their knees as my Lich did perform, or bowed if they could not. Whereas Rojaahn merely frowned from where his position was, as the body of the Minotaur was nowhere to be found. Which led to my person to chuckle before turning away in order to reshape the mountain into what our home used to be.

That is, until Melephas coughed out, "You know, it's great you have so much power, and all, but what about me? I still want EXP to level up, and you promised to give that to me. So? Where is mine at? Huh?"

I then turned around slowly, my eight eyes glowing with a fierce crimson which held a great desire to end the insufferable maggot who annoyed us for so long. However, I had a better idea, and gripped his neck whilst banishing the chains which bound his body. Here, his hand did grip my arm and wrist whilst trying to find some way to survive the ordeal. For he no doubt felt as though his life was slipping away as quickly as his consciousness was.

When it was nearly lost, however, I did toss him to the ground just as my free, clawed hand sank into the fabric of reality. Whereupon I did rend it thoroughly, revealing only darkness with the sounds of a great battle occurring within. "You desire 'E-X-P'?" my voice growled as I pointed towards the hole within Space and Time, "There is your 'E-X-P'."

Slowly, carefully, he did stand tall whilst brushing off his tattered, dark robe. One of which he wore throughout the entirety of our time together, never exchanging it for something else. After taking his time, he did straighten himself and slowly walked over whilst examining the portal. Which then led to him turning his head in question, his brows furrowed before leaning back with his arms crossed. He then shook his head with closed eyes as he voiced, "Nuh-uh. I'm not going in there."

This, and this alone, infuriated my mind. Enough so that I did grow to double, then triple my height, and gripped Melephas's body with enough force to cause him to vomit blood. "You will leave our sight, you insufferable maggot. Whether you desire it or not, you. Will. Leave." Whereupon I did open my grip over the portal to allow his body to fall towards it, but such was not enough. For I used my open palm to forcibly push and guide his body into it, which then obliterated the opening of the portal in its entirety.

"Thus ending the tale from which I promised you, Nox," grinned the Ageless as he watched his son and his friends wiggle their tales with joy.

"Yay," they cried out, and bounded away towards the castle whilst discussing which parts of the story they enjoyed, and which they did not. Thus, leaving the God King to mull over the story which had been told, retold, rewritten, and told once again for over a millennia.

"If you only knew what actually happened," he muttered softly, patting the yellowed book with a paw, "Would you still be as joyous as you are now? Well, no matter." In so saying, he did stand tall with a stretch of his body before scooping up the story with which the tale was told from, and placing it within the crook of his left arm. "Let's return you to your shelf," he commented softly, and vanished from the gardens.
