"Heehee," giggled Nox as the world around them reverted back to its midnight colours, "Papa got angry."
The reason why he giggled was due to the fact that the Ageless paired his telling of various tales with as much flair as possible. Especially when in front of a young audience like the children before his eyes.
This meant that they were given a show of what occurred with the many lightings and effects as one would expect within a theatre. For although words were enough for some, they weren't enough for the rest. Of which the God King then took it upon himself to create a stage in such a manner that the audiences before his person would be able to see what it was that he was telling them.
Of course, not everyone enjoyed such showings, and tended to be quite vocal about such things. However, for children, they tended to enjoy them all, especially Nox. Of whom had grown up with his father speaking to him as well as showing off several methods of keeping him entertained. Such as a great orb of one metre in diametre giving way to show the story in its entirety. From the swaying of the grass, to blood spurting out of an open wound, such was what he grew up with. Which, in turn, was what his friends also came to enjoy, despite the Darkness present.
"Yes," drawled the Ageless with a low sigh, "I was. The Humans present believed everything we were a part of was nothing more than a game in which to play and prance about. It was here that I learned of their bodies, for they were not their true forms. Instead, one could say that such things were nothing more than energy given flesh and blood for their minds to occupy and enjoy."
"Um... Lord Ageless?" Anasi raised his hand tentatively, then flinched as the one before himself turned towards his person slightly, "Um... Why would they... um... say that it's a game... um... if they could feel pain?"
The God King before him leaved back in the chair he sat upon with a complex look about his features. One of which was of him contemplating some great mystery, as well as recalling such past events. This caused the four friends to sit still as the one before them continued to think, not wanting to interrupt his person.
After a few more moments, however, surprise etched over his features. Of which caused the young children to wonder what it was that caused such a great being to become so surprised. For they had never witnessed such a thing before.
"Papa?" mewed Nox, who squirmed out of the grasp of the twins in order to scamper over to his father's sighed. Whereupon he did paw at his right leg, bringing his father out of his revelry.
"Ah," his eyes blinked a few times, and reached down to lift his son up in order to place him upon his lap. There, his right paw absentmindedly began to pet the child's head and back, as he revealed what was upon his mind.
"They did not feel a thing."
"Huh?" Each of the children held a similar expression of not knowing what was being spoken, as well as Maya, Mia, and Nox perking their ears whilst tilting their heads off to the side.
"They did not feel a thing," he repeated slowly, "That makes sense now. Forgive me children, but I must leave. I will have Brutus take over from here." To which he did set his son down off his lap, stood tall, and snapped two of the digits of his right paw. This created two portals of equal size and contained the colours of Madness.

From one came the Lich King clad in a snow white robe, which swiftly closed behind his person. There, they spoke in a low tone as to the revelation the other had for a time before venturing into the other portal to who knows where. Thus leaving the metallic Skeleton to sigh as he turned back to curious, and a tad upset, children with enlarged and hopeful eyes.
"Apologies to you four for our Lord's behaviour. He's gone to see Rojaahn and those under him on matters of great importance. One that must not be pushed aside for stories, I'm afraid," Brutus rubbed the back of his skull with his right primary clawed hand, whilst his left reached into the air to pull out his Story once more.
"It's okay," Nox mewed, as he was pulled into the embrace of the twins once more, "He's done that before."
"You are far too kind, Nox," he nodded slowly, taking up the seat of the God King and slowly opened his own Story. Whereupon he did flit through the pages of the book until he came upon the spot he so desired.
"Now then, shall we continue where He left off?"

Just as He had shrunk and changed into his Human guise in order to speak to the Humans, I had leapt down in order to stare about the scenery as the heavy clouds rolled away to reveal a cloudless and blue coloured heavens above. It was here that I felt somewhat at ease, though it was quickly shrugged away so that I could remain as impassive as needed. We who are of the Undead need not have such feelings beyond the emptiness within.
Or, at least, that is what I told myself back then.
In any case, during his time of glaring and scolding the Humans for believing our existence was nothing more than a game to them, my eyes did catch the gleam of metal coming from the forest ahead. Of which there were a dozen, and after invoking an ability to see further, did I call aloud, "My Lord God? We appear to be having company soon."
"Hm?" His voice hummed with curiosity as He turned towards my person, then towards the direction I was currently facing, "Oh. So it appears." His voice was tired, but annoyed, as He pointed towards my glorious body, and transformed it into an Elf once again. Of course, these unknown nuisances had no doubt seen the magicks used by our Lord, but as they were soon upon us, did nothing more than draw out their weapons whilst directing each towards us.
"
The one who remained alive, however, quavered as I advanced. For it was unsure as to what had occurred, as the entirety of the troop it was a part of had been alive, then the next, dead. Yes. It even soiled itself, as I walked past the toppled bodies with expressions of surprise about their features.
For you see, children, the moment one of them spoke aloud, I did spy our Lord's expression becoming rather curious. He had never heard of whatever the language was,, and would want it for himself. Therefore, I took the initiative and slew all, but one of those before us, and would present it to Himself soon after.
Now, the remaining creature standing was a male Orc, and appeared to contain quite a few bulges all about his body. This, coupled with many scars marked him as a war veteran. Unfortunately, whoever he was would die that turn, and coward greatly as I gripped his neck, dragging his body over to our Lord who was a tad confused by such an event. Whereas the Humans, on the other hand, especially the Templar and Cleric, were horrified as the body of the Orc spasmed greatly whilst it released a delicious scream into the air. One which was filled with horror and pain as it felt its entirety be drained from its mind.
And Afterwards? Well, the body was tossed away, drooling upon the ground with its eyes drawn behind its skull, leaving only the whites visible. Of which frightened the pair even further, as our Lord laid his hands upon my skull, granting it a copy of the language and vital information the body once contained. This led to us nodding at one another after it was complete, and, turning towards the direction of the outpost, we set out whilst ignoring the demands of the trio behind us.
