CHAPTER 19 DAY 17
I logged in again and got to work. I expelled my magic on six more steps. Checking the time, I noted Celina should be bringing by the guild members in an hour or so if my estimate was accurate.
Out of magic and potions I had nothing to do. I was regenerating about 10 magic a minute. I decided to form 4 ying-yang amulets. No emeralds just amulets. I had my old amulet for Gaia. I would enchant +5 magic for Tara and Madre. Then +5 constitution for Gray Eagle and Joker.
They still had not arrived. I decided to practice climbing until the showed. I spent an hour climbing up and down before Harrash’s new boat landed. I met everyone on the beach and handed out their requested rings. Everyone was in great moods and had updated their gear from their shopping spree. They had gifts for me as well. Celina had 77 magic potions for me. Gwyn presented me with a pair of black leather bracers from everyone. It was not black dragon but still black. Etched on the bracers was the all seeing eye pyramid. Apparently they had decided on the guild crest. The pyramid for being builders and the eye to symbolize knowledge they explained to me. They said I could choose the colors as the mark on my bracers was just and etching. I inspected the bracers, black leather vambracers of the magi, 16 studs, +10 to magic, +5 magic, +10 defense (this item will be bound when worn). Wow what an awesome gift. I took off my old translocation bracer and put in the new pair. They covered the back of my hand and my entire forearm. When I inquired to the cost they said they were 5 gold but they were only that cheap because Gray Eagle had found a hidden vendor in the undercity at Bluewater Bay. A similar item on the auction house was going for 25 gold. It was an incredible gift. I had to go the forums to learn how to transfer my two studs with translocation stones already locked.
I then used a few potions of magic to finish the amulets and handed them out. I explained the scaling dungeon up the cliff and my plans to use it to level the guild. We would divide into two groups and alternate rooms. But always having the second group close for support. Gwyn decided on the groups. I was with Gwyn, Tara, Carrie and Celina. The other group led by Madre and had Joker, Gray Eagle, Harrash and Gaia. We climbed up the cliff and encountered my stairs eventually. I expended my magic stores to make another two stairs. So far I had 145’ of stairs on the top of the 400’ climb. I planned to stop about 20’ from the ground, figuring it would help hide the cave from poachers. I should also make a way to hide our boats. Have to figure that out later.
We were at the cave entrance and I had the other group go first since I was out of magic. The creatures in side were mini human fungi. They were 3’ tall and didn’t deal a lot of damage but their spore attacks varied from sleep to blindness to confusion. The first room only had 4 of the creatures. My group stood back as the other group handled them I made sure to use analyze creature ever chance I got.

The only issue we had was their spores were AOE and that meant in the small room it hit everyone. My group was next and we had seven of the creatures. After analyzing them all I prepared a hail of stones and released it before our fighters closed. I killed 5 and the remaining two fell quickly. Gywn muttered something about me being a show off. It was really an easy battle. We continued alternating rooms. The groups began to figure out how to work together even though the monsters were not much of a threat. After ten rooms the monsters began having a few level 2 creatures in the group and soon all were level two. This continued for eight more rooms before we encountered the boss. I did get two skill increases as well.

Fire Magic 2 Tier 2 unlocked: +1 Charisma, Tier 2 fire spells can now be learned
Analyze Monster 3 Tier 3 unlocked: +1 Intelligence, analyze monsters up to three levels higher
I could now see stats for monsters level 9 and lower since my current was level 6.
I scanned the boss.
Fungi King Level 6 Health 1200 Magic 500 Damage 50 Special Attack spore cloud
He was flanked by two level two fungi men. It was our groups turn. I switched to flame spear and our fighters rushed forward. We focused on the king but the soldiers kept healing him. I quickly switched to a soldier and eliminated it and then the other. The king fell quickly after that. Both groups searched the chamber. Gaia found a shaft down to the next level and someone produced a rope. The king only had a few silvers on him and two items. Staff of Spirit, +1 to spirit skill, +5 intelligence. It would have been useful to me since I rarely used my sword. Tara was our spirit mage though so she received the item. The second item was a scroll with a tier 3 attack on it. Quick Slash, 30 Stamina, +50% damage. It could be learned under any slashing weapon. It was a good attack, the higher the tier usually the less stamina cost. Well Gwyn and Carrie played rock, paper, scissors and Carrie won it.
It was actually really close to log off time for me so we left it here. Everyone walked out to the cave said our goodbyes. Some decided to lay down here, others just logged out. I went down and made 4 more steps before logging out. I was looking forward to tomorrow and conquering level 2 of the dungeon.
It was 2:15am when I emerged from my Cocoon. Gina was still in hers. Flicka was happy to see me. I went and made some cereal and gave Flicka the remaining milk. I went out side and was shocked to see the frame of my guest house half completed. I didn’t remember hearing any sounds of nail guns or the voices of construction workers. A large shipment of pallets was also nearby. This all just reminded me of my obligation to complete the trailers. I had 15 days before my future tenants would be inspecting them.
I yawned and went to bed. I woke when Gina came into the room and climbed into bed with me. She pulled a pillow under her head and went to sleep. It was 5:04am. I went back to sleep myself. The next time I woke was when my alarm went off at 10:00am. Gina head was now using my chest as a pillow and Flicka was masquerading as a pillow next to my head. Flicka saw me move but she quickly closed her eyes and pretended to sleep like there was no issue with her being at the head of the bed. I slide out from Gina but woke her anyway. She located the alarm clock and sprung up swearing. Apparently she had class at noon as it was now Monday. She rushed away to her room and I admired her body in her bra and panties.
I rolled out of bed and went to the fridge. Gina had made me four roast beef sandwiches. I ate two and packed the other two to take to the trailers. I walked out with Flicka to get some work done today. I planned to work eight hours. I was pleasantly surprised to see the progress on the exteriors. Four trailers had windows and doors. All of them had siding completed. It looks like I would be paying that bonus.
The sandwiches and water were not enough and I ordered a cheese pizza as well. I got the electrical done and the plumbing well started. The shower was directly next the sink and the tank and water heater were under the sink. I started the gas lines for the water heater and space heater.
I walked into my cabin with Flicka tired and hungry again. In the fridge was stuffed peppers. I ate three of the six in the dish. I gave Flicka one of the fillings. After my shower I logged in.
