CHAPTER 18 DAY 16
“Well I need a shower,” she said. As she headed for the bathroom she looked over her shoulder and said, “You need one too and it would be irresponsible to waste water.” I was busy imaging her naked before her last statement processed. I hurried after her for my second shower today.
An hour later we both went to our Cocoons. It was 3:16pm. I waited for Gina by the stone in Bluewater. I dozen or so players popped in and moved away before Gina popped in. She looked around amazed. I smiled. Gina looked the same to me except her breasts looked a little bigger and her hair was a silvery blond. With her tight fitting beige clothes she looked amazing. My thoughts went lecherous and I had to shake my head to get them out.
Gina was absorbed and I led her past the food stalls and introduced her to Grant. Grant had been doing well. He had hired two urchins to help collect stones and had a big supply. I replenished my personal stock and bought 200 stones for Gina. Gina’s natural charisma immediately got her on good terms with Grant.
Next we went to Dolan. He was rather chatty with Gina. I bought her 50 magic potions here and watched Gina interact with the NPC. In the end Dolan had agreed to teach Gina alchemy when she had free time. Gina was going to do well in this world. We then went to the Union Hall.
I was surprised to see Katrina in the atrium desk. We approached and she smiled at us. “Welcome back Daedalus. How goes the war with the goblins? And who is your new companion?”
“Master Katrina it goes well. We are started to build our forces and will be making regular attacks against the goblins soon.” I gestured to Gina, “this is my friend Gina. She is new and is going to become an enchanter as well. She wishes to become a Union Mage as well. I will aslo be purchasing some spells for her.”
“OK it has been quite busy here lately. I need some materials to help in my enchanting Gina. I have an order for a special dagger and need an excellent quality steel dagger. Get me one and I will give you my mark.” I checked the auction house. The dagger would cost about 70 silver. If one was available in a blacksmith shop it would cost half as much.
“Your first quest Gina!” I said. “I would like to buy all +2 stat enchantments Katrina.” She produced them and I paid for them and handed them to Gina. “Gina you can complete the quest on your own. Take these coins to buy whatever you need.” I handed Gina 200 silver. “I will be in my room” I said pointing to the apartments door. “I will give you access now.” I opened my resident access and added Gina.
I left Gina to go explore. I went to the Earth door and purchased the stone shape spell and rockball spell for Gina. The rockball spell was in case she needed some offense. I then went to my room and sat down to work.
I had made three +5 magic emerald ying-yang rings for Gina by the time she arrived. I pulled out my 4 intellect rings and handed them to her. “You can borrow these while you study.” I pushed the three rings I had just made toward, “you can keep these. I will make you seven more while you study.” Gina sat down and brought out her skill books for enchant and enchant: imbue she had just received from her quest. “Nice job!” I praised her accomplishment. “You should pick one enchantment, I would suggest +2 magic and learn it first and then stone shape. Then we can practice making a few rings. The use of equal parts black and white onyx will give the ring another +1 to channeling.”
I answered a few questions for Gina and then I got to work on making her 7 more +5 rings. I finished her rings before she finished learning the spells. I decided to make her an emerald ying-yang amulet as well.
She was finally finished. “OK you saw me create the rings lets see you make a ring with your stones.” I watched her through the process and gave he some pointers. The product was not pretty but functional but I praised her anyway, “Better than my first attempt! Ok, final lesson, if someone kills you they will be able to loot your rings and amulet. But I am going to cast a bind spell on all your equipment. If you give any bound equipment to another person the bind spell will break.” I cast the 11 bindings and noticed I was down to only 2 magic potions. I would have to see Celina. “Ok lets go sell your first ring!”

I showed Gina the auction house first and how it worked. Then we went to exchange and I showed her how it worked. I check the prices for a +3 ring, $10 to $20. I had Gina place it for $15. It sold within 30 seconds and she was ecstatic. I told her to learn to make the +3 magic/ +1 channeling rings. I guessed she could sell each one for $25. She could make 40 or so every day. Which meant $1,000 a day. She was giddy. Well half was coming to me for a while, but still a good daily earning. I got back my intellect rings and I left Gina to play. I transported to the island which needed really needed a name.
The activity was subdued when I arrived. I was late and Celina came up to me instead of one of my guild members. Apparently the entire guild had left 20 minutes ago with Harrash to kill goblins. Well shit, I missed out on the fun. I tried to teleport back to Bluewater Bay but the cooldown timer showed 58 minutes. I had forgotten about that rule. Well damn it. I went to Celina’s house and restocked my potions. I exchanged my minor health potions for regular health potions as well. I asked Gina if she wanted to go adventuring and she jumped at the chance. I then asked her where was a good place to kill monsters. She thought for a bit and then said there was an island with a hidden cave that had relatively easy monsters. Great let’s go! Maybe I could level on my own. I stressed to Celina she was to run if we got into trouble. We took our horses for a run on the beach to the island. After two miles Celina stopped and pointed to a small island with a large mountain about a mile away.
Hmmm. I was thinking a short swim. There were a few large trees nearby. Celina went into the brush and started dragging out a small canoe. We pushed the canoe in and paddled to the island.
The island was small and was basically just a mountain. Celina guided the canoe to a small beach. Two large crabs were on the shore. I took out both of them with a few flame spears.
We pulled the canoe on shore and Celina started climbing the rocks. I followed, slow and steady. It took an hour to climb but finally we came to ledge that led into a cave. The cave entrance had ancient runes over it. Most important caves had them to let players know what to expect inside. It took me a while to ‘translate’ on the wiki. This was a scaling dungeon! After it was cleared it got a little more difficult. It was seven levels, meaning it had seven bosses. This was great. The ledge was 400 feet above the beach and quite a strenuous climb. I sat down and pulled out a scroll, stone meld spell. I talked with Celina for a few minutes and said we were not going in today. Instead I was going to make a staircase to make reaching this dungeon easier. I asked Celina to make potions for me. I pulled out my alchemy kit and a whole bunch of ingredients. I had 4 gallons of water and 150 empty vials. She got to work as did I.
I did my best to ‘hide’ the staircase from anyone that might view it from the water or beach. The cave was recessed and slightly down slope on the ledge so it was not visible. As I started forming the steps it was taking around 300 magic per step! I drank a fortify magic potion to help my regen rate and max. I made each step. Even with Celina supplying more potions I only completed 102 step and about 100’ descent when darkness came. My Earth magic was level 3 with 71% toward next level while Earth: Stone magic was level 6 with 99.9% toward next level. It had happened again!
I told Celina to return to the village. I would sleep here. She was to bring as many magic potions as she could carry and the guild in two days here. I had 1763 magic and it fully regened in 3 hours. I could make 6 steps if I logged in every 3 hours. This was probably overboard but I was a builder and this staircase was something I really wanted to invest in. So that is what I did. I logged out and took care of Flicka and my appetite. Gina was still logged in. I set my alarm for 3 hours. I woke logged in, cast myself dry, logged out, went to sleep. When I logged out the second time I noticed Gina had logged out. She was probably crashing upstairs.
On my fourth logout Gina was stumbling down the stairs. “Afternoon,” I said happily. She looked up and smiled.
“I transferred $1100 to your account!” She exclaimed. Flicka was on her heels. “I made $2200 selling rings yesterday! It was amazing. I made in ten hour what normally takes me two weeks at the restaurant.” I was happy for her.
“That means you can focus more on school. And my meals.” She stopped and looked at me seriously. Shit was she mad at my joke?
“Oh my god! I forgot to make you breakfast! I am so sorry!” She went into distressed mode. Not my intention.
I walked up to her and looked her in the eyes then kissed her passionately. When I came up for air I said, “Don’t know that was a pretty good wake me up.” I took her hand and led her to my room, “but maybe I might need a little more to satisfy my appetite.” She giggled as we went to my bed.
With Gina happy and stress free the sex was awesome and full of energy.
I kept to my schedule leaving Gina sleeping soundly with Flicka at her feet.
