We set off with the group of orcs towards the east, where the humans were located. Along the way, Ale, Bea, and I handled most of the zombies. Thargg was quite surprised,
"What race are those birds?"
"They are phoenixes, one of our strongest races."
"I see. Are there many in your settlement? Perhaps some might be interested in coming to our village."
"I'm sorry, but I'm sure they wouldn't be interested. Gris, where is the human settlement located?"
"We should see it any moment now."
Indeed, within five minutes, we saw a high barricade in front of a large residential area. Numerous soldiers with pistols and machine guns were visible, and one of them approached us,
"You're here for the meeting, right? Follow me."
We entered the residential area and in the hallway of the first block, there was a large table with all the chairs empty except one, occupied by a bald, beardless man of about 40 years.

"Welcome. You must be Dani and Gris from the monster settlement, and you must be Thargg from the orc settlement. Please, have a seat. If any of your subordinates want to sit, they are also welcome."
The orc sat down and said impatiently,
"Human, let's skip the courtesies and preliminaries. Make this meeting short."
"Of course. As you know, the purpose of this meeting is to trade meteorites. So far, the only meteorites that have been activated are those of lower, common, and uncommon rarity, which seem to recharge every 10, 20, and 40 hours respectively. We suspect that the others will also recharge but will take twice as long each time."
Dani interjected,
"But even if that's the most likely scenario, can it be confirmed? As far as I know, only meteorites of uncommon rarity have fallen around the magic classes, meaning there are only apprentice diviners who can only identify what classes or races the meteorite grants."
"That's true, but it's most likely they can recharge. Anyway, we've decided that the meteorites that grant the Berserker and Knight classes should go to the orcs; the Archer and Assassin classes to the humans, while the crafting and producing classes to the nymphs and other monsters. You have eight classes in total, but none of them are combatant. Additionally, we will provide meteorites with the races of our settlements and if we find a being with a race from another settlement, we will send them there. Is that okay?"
"The city of Fen agrees."
The orc chuckled.
"Finally named your city. The city of Gohh also agrees. But we seek food and water."
"The city of Fen can trade for cores and meteorites of other classes."
"Perfect, the orcs do not need the magic classes."
"Humans will trade only for cores."
"We have already marked our respective cities on the map, so a squad of griffins will distribute supplies to each settlement every week."
"Perfect, the last item on the agenda is non-aggression. We make a treaty not to attack each other, and not to enter regions that do not belong to us unless it is for trade or another meeting."
"The orcs agree."
"The city of Fen also agrees."
"Perfect, with this I declare the first meeting of the survivors of Thessaloniki concluded. Honestly, I expected more problems and that it would take much longer."
"I think now is not the time to fight among ourselves."
"I agree with the orc. By the way, I expected you to be much more aggressive."
"Most are, it seems the race is changing us little by little, but it varies by individual."
The human proposed,
"By the way, I know the non-aggression pact doesn't mean helping each other. Our alliance is commercial, not of friendship. However, several buses full of people are coming from Athens, where the situation is even worse than here. The convoy has suffered several attacks and I think a squad of wargs or griffins could be very useful. Clearly, we would generously reward those who help us."
"The orcs reject that offer."
"What rewards?"
"We could give you all the meteorites we have of the magic classes."
"That's a great reward, why?"
"To be honest, the refugees number in the thousands and they are not in good condition. However, they have many weapons and even tanks."
"Agreed, we'll send the squad, split in half, and a phoenix will go with us while the rest go with them. Ale and Juan, you will go to rescue them."
"Thank you very much, the path is straightforward, just follow the road. If you allow it, some of my men can ride the griffins and guide and support them."
As soon as the meeting ended, we were introduced to a few humans who mounted the griffins, and we set off immediately.
