Nolan was currently sitting cross legged inside a Meditation Cave with corpses of Underground Shrews piled up around him. The ones closest to him were the Common and Uncommon rank beasts. He grabbed hold of one of the corpses and started munching on it raw. Blood spewed and sprayed the walls but he didn't care and kept eating the corpse.

His teeth were so strong that he could break even the bones with a single bite. He chewed on the bones until they were powder and swallowed them. Nolan definitely wasn't a wasteful person so he ate everything. After he finished eating the first one, he ate the second, the second, he just kept eating. When the meat of the Underground Shrews reached his stomach, it was quickly digested and turned into pure energy that Nolan could control.

This energy then seeped into Nolan's bones and once the bones were filled with energy, all of them broke into tiny pieces and because Nolan was holding them in place using energy, they didn't scatter. His skeletal system healed itself at a quick pace and fully healed in a couple of minutes, Nolan filled his bones with energy again and broke them. This cycle repeated itself over and over again.

Nolan's actions were completely inhumane and straight out torturous. Breaking one's bones is extremely painful but doing it over and over again was even scarier. And the guy was sitting cross legged with a calm expression like he wasn't in pain. The reason why Nolan was doing this was because of his Meditation Art.

He called it the Nolan Meditation Art but its true name was the Hellish Evolution Art because of the hellish stuff one had to go through to cultivate this Art.

The Hellish Evolution Art currently had five levels since Nolan only deduced five levels. The first level was the Body Level where the bones, blood and organs were refined. The second level was the Mana Organs Level, Mana Veins strengthening, Mana Heart expansion and condensing the Mana Soul.

All of these were important components for one to grow stronger and be invincible in the same realm. Mana Veins are the organs that transport and carry from the heart to the body, a Mana Heart as its name suggest is a heart that contains Mana. The bigger the Mana Heart, the more Mana it's able to contain which is a huge benefit. And finally the Mana Soul. Although intangible, it's very important because it represents the third aspect of the body.

Body, Spirit/Mana and Soul. These three components make up all living things. With a Mana Soul, Nolan could then prepare to awaken his element by giving the Mana Soul the attributes of the element he wants. This wasn't something possible using normal Meditation Arts but Nolan's Meditation Art wasn't normal at all.

The third level is the Elemental Level where once the element of choice is awakened, it's condensed into a crystal and bathes in the Mana Heart, giving the Mana an elemental attribute.

The fourth level is the Soul Level where it includes the Soul Body fusion, Heart Body fusion and Element Body fusion. The Soul Body fusion allows Nolan to have both physical and soul damage which is very important when fighting those of the Soul Star Path because their Souls can escape from the body and possess another one when in danger. But when facing Nolan, that wouldn't be possible.

The Heart Body fusion allows for the increase in energy capacity but not just that, the body can become the heart and the heart can become the body. Meaning that if the heart has become the body, he won't die when his heart is destroyed and if the body becomes the heart, an even greater amount of energy can be stored. The Elemental Body fusion is effective when fighting those in the Element Star Path because all Spells are greatly boosted in strength and power to inflict more damage.

And finally the fifth level, the Fusion Level which is about the fusion of the first four levels to create a powerful entity without any weaknesses in all three Star Paths.

Nolan's bones broke and healed until they couldn't break anymore so Nolan could finally focus on his Mana Organs. The reason why he only repeated the process of breaking bones only and not the blood refinement and organs strengthening was because strong bones were a necessity. He didn't need extremely pure blood or strong organs since they would slowly become useless. Only the bones could give him lifelong benefits like weapons being unable to cut through his body.

After he was done strengthening his bones, he finally focussed on strengthening his Mana Veins. He devoured many Underground Shrews to replenish his energy and started the Mana Organs Training. Lots of energy filled the weak Mana Veins and ruptured them. He vomited blood and his face became pale and his eyes bloodshot.

It took slightly longer for the Mana Veins to heal, about thirty minutes and after they'd healed, he ruptured them again and repeated this process like he did with his bones.

A month later, a phenomenon of someone reaching the Celestial Realm occurred. A total of twenty crimson stars glowed in the night sky very brightly.

“Oh my goodness! Those are Red Stars!”

“How can someone only have Red Stars!”

“This is a true genius of the Demonic Sect, a true demon in fact!”

The months later, another phenomenon occurred in the sky where a total of thirty Red Stars appeared in the sky. They shone almost as brightly as the sun. Even those from afar could see the crimson light of the thirty stars in the sky.

“Someone has advanced to the Nova Realm!”

“Forget the realm, look at the stars! Thirty Red Stars!”

“Are you fucking kidding me! Who the fuck is responsible for this phenomenon!”

Eight months later, yet another phenomenon occurred but this one was on a much grander scale. Forty Red Stars shone in the sky, turning night into day, changing the colour of the black sky crimson. These stars shone as brightly as the Sun, completely on par with the Sun's brilliance.

“Forty Red Stars! I'm assuming this is the guy from last time.”

“Amazing! Amazing!”

“He or she is not someone to be messed with. He or she is very dedicated to their path to only have Red Stars.”

Two years later, another phenomenon occurred where a total of fifty Red Stars appeared in the sky glowing brilliantly. These Red Stars after shining so brilliantly exploded into red clouds and fused to become one big red gas cloud that looked like a nebula.

“Holy Shit! Such a fast improvement!”

“I've never seen such a thing in my life!”

“Is it a hidden disciple of the sect?!”

Inside the Meditation Cave, Nolan sat alone in a meditation position. All the corpses that he had placed around him were all gone. Only dry blood stains remained on the floor and walls. He'd advanced to the Nebula Realm about a year and a half ago and was now in the peak of the Nebula Realm.

He slowly stood up, the sound of bones crackling from stretching sounded out. Nolan had remained in the room for years and didn't move much so his body was very stiff. He walked towards the door which opened automatically and left the place. Fortunately, it was night time when he left the cave or the sunlight would have affected his eyes.

Outside the Meditation Cave, Donar and Riri were already waiting for him. When they saw him, the two of them quickly knelt on the floor.

“I greet the Demonic Child, congratulations to the fruitful seclusion!”

“I greet my Master, congratulations to the fruitful close door training.”

“Mhm. Stand up.”

“Thank you, Demonic Child!”

When Donar looked at Nolan, he could feel vast energy and power hidden within him. The power he felt made his hairs stand on end. Riri only felt that her master had become even more terrifying.

“Let's go back to the main sect. There's something I have to do there.” said Nolan.

“Yes Master.” nodded Riri and they walked away.

“Demonic Child, please wait!” shouted Donar while running after the two.

“What is it?”

“If it's not too much to ask, I'd like to become the Demonic Child's butler. I've learned everything a servant needs to know, I promise I won't disappoint you!” begged Donar. Nolan didn't respond immediately but instead looked at Donar deeply.

“If you're not afraid of death then let's go. Don't regret this decision because there is no turning back.”

“Thank you Demonic Child.”
