Chapter 34: Carter’s Final Destination.
Much to my chagrin, we must look at Melissa’s side now. After all, Carter was on the way out of the story, and missing that would be a disservice to you all. In the… oddly medieval dungeon of some grand estate, Carter was chained up.
Carter: “Please… let me go.” He pleaded, spitting blood out of his mouth.
Melissa: “I will let you go when… you give me information about Monia!” She exclaimed.
Carter: “That woman? I only spoke two sentences to her! How the hell am I supposed to know anything about Monia? Look, what’s the point of getting her number, anyway? I doubt that my sister lets Monia use a smartphone…” He explained in reply.
Melissa: “If she doesn’t have access to a smartphone… how is she currently reposting things on social media? There is no reason to debate this… do you have her number, or not?” She asked with her arms crossed.
Carter: “No, I don’t. And Risa wasn’t even slightly willing to give it me… She did make me give you her number, you know…” He denied.
Melissa: “…” “This farce is getting me absolutely nowhere…” She scoffed in her mind.
In truth, though bloody and beaten, Melissa has done nothing to Carter personally. In fact, the woman despises the very idea of even touching him for a small moment. Rather than beat him herself, she just called over all the women that Carter abused or used.
The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
And, Carter wasn’t that badly injured, really. At most, the women just let off some steam, and the one that hurt him the most was Bern. Yes, she also called over the men that he betrayed or ruined as well. Truly, Carter had now gone through at least one layer of hell on earth.
None of them ruined his face, though. At most, it will only take a month or two to heal from these injuries. But the wound that was most painful… was how Melissa had now completely destroyed his pride. That wasn’t something that would ever recover. At least, not for a few years. With this, Carter was now out of the game, fully.
Melissa: “Give me your shares.” She spoke after a long silence between the two.
Carter: “Shares? My sister was too smart… I only have 1% of the total shares…” He replied with an embarrassed tone.
Melissa: “Very well. Though as little as that amount is, it is better than nothing. Give me them, and you can go free.” She said with a sigh.
Carter: “And… my money?” He nervously asked. “Practically all of my connections are gone, and this woman had ruined the last few that I had. I didn’t even realize how many people hate me… Regardless, I need my money back, or I will probably starve to death on the streets!” He thought with an anxious tone.
Melissa: “Most of it was split between those women, Carter. Right now, only $5,000,000 is left.” She replied with a slightly evil laugh.
Carter: “…That’s fine. Release me, and those shares are yours.” He happily agreed.
He didn’t want to live like a poor person, but that remaining money was enough to last him for a while. It isn’t enough to make a comeback, but if he doesn’t live that lavishly, then it is unlikely that he will be homeless any time soon. The restraints on him were removed, and his shares were transferred to Melissa. Now, the first step of her plan was complete…
