It took almost as long for these goblins to grow as it took to gather the materials to make them. As the bulbs grew, the more developed it became which can be seen from the outside. Turns out they start like all animal life, as fetuses, and as they grew larger and more complex, the what can be argued as a womb, became bigger and more see through. Half way through their growth, a notification appeared.
Goblin Development Notice The three goblins you are growing are qualified to be able to gain sapience if you so choose. If so they recently got to an optimal stage in their growth to influence their brain's development. If not they would be born with the traditional semi-sapience of normal goblins.
Um, sure. If I want servants, I want them to be smart enough to follow and understand orders but also be clever in situations I cannot give them step by step instructions. Also stupid goblins is well stupid in my opinion but also dumb and boring for watching them. How else will I find quality entertainment unless I make my own.
Warning Giving them full sapience will give them free will making them not fully under your control. The skill [Command Creature] would not work on them. do you still wish to continue?
Now that is quite worrying. There is no way to ensure them to remain loyal to me and how am I going to make them do stuff. Even if they can be ordered, they can disobey me. Do I really want them to be sapient? Hmm. Making them semi-sapient would be safer but more inefficient as I would have to practically control a bunch of toddlers which is as hard as herding cats. If I make them sapient there would be a chance they would betray me. The emphasis on the chance. There is no certainty that they would but also I am a literal [god], not just a random one but the one that made them and just looking at how fanatical, religious people on Earth is like to a deity they can't even conform is real, ignoring the fact it is totally is but in a different context, their is barely a question on their loyalty. So yes, lets make them sapient.
Satisfied with my decision I waited out the rest of the time for them to with nothing to note happened in between. Once in a while, I did looked into them while they formed when I was bored to past the time which gain me some insight in the formation of organic matter but that was it. Near when they would stop growing, the bulbs were quite large, around the size of a sac, and you could see the goblins inside of it in the fetal position. When they no longer needed to continue, I instantly got the instinct it was time and had them born. The flesh bubble popped like a literal bubble and umbilical fluid and bloods splashed everywhere as they collapsed against the floor. They started to stir while covering completely in gunk and mud. I only had one reaction when I saw this.
THEY ARE FUCKING CUTE!!!
Wait they are gross and dirty. Why did I thought like that, they are only the cutest things in the world. What is wrong with me. They are suppose to be my servants, disposable tools that only purpose to serve and defend me. I'm not suppose to feel like this too them but how can I not they are my babies. Ugh, [Dungeon Tooltips] please tell me what is wrong, did I got a brain parasite or did I got whacked on my head and forgot about. God, please don't let it be some type of mental illness for [dungeons]. From just starting out with a chance for a new life and instantly gets [dungeon] dementia would be horrible. Give it to me straight doc.
Dungeon Tooltips - This is simple. Creatures from dungeons are considered a part of the dungeon since they do have a part of the dungeon inside of them. This makes dungeons to have their self-preservation instinct minorly overlap. Due to you previously being from a race that raise and care for their young, this manifested as parental instincts.
Seriously. I did not imagine myself coming to fantasy world to just play mommy for a bunch of green gremlins but how can I not, they are my perfect little angels. Ugh. (Imagine myself covering my imaginary face with my imaginary hands). God, I beg you, please let this end, just kill me now. Unfortunately it seems like there is no way to fix this and if I was able to get used to being a giant, decaying tumor calling itself a [dungeon core], I can get used to this. I do have to admit they are cute and Miracles of Life... I really need to tone it down though.
Looking back at the goblins, they are starting get up and taking in their surrounding. They are still dirty but I can't do anything about it but at least can clean up the remains of the womb they were in and the rest of the fluids surrounding them by absorbing the organic matter. Now how am I suppose to instruct them or greet them, in general how am I going to communicate with them if I can't use [Command Creature]. Hmm. Wait don't I have [Ascended Mind]. It has an extra option from me being a [dungeon] which allows me to access the minds of all my creatures. There nothing in there that says it does not apply to sapients. There is a problem, the description of the option is quite vague how strong the connection will be, it somewhat implies that I can only transmit concepts. Well the only to know for sure it to try it out. I sent out a simple message to these three.

Welcome to the world my children. I am your father and I created you.
The three instantly look towards me and with eyes full of amazement began prostrating in front of me. The women originally on the left took action first while the other two copied the same pose on either side of her. She was not the only the first to show respect but also the first to speak. With great difficulty since it was literally her first time ever, stuttered in near perfect English, "I..I no w-we th-thaaanc fa-fa-father." Her voice was a little raspy but what do you expect. I do admit there was some pride that swelled up a little bit when finished but I am just glad they could have understand me. They would have to practice with each other before they can get any good but good attempt. As I went over them one more time and I forgot they were still covered in grime. With feeling a little shame for having them be in that state for that long I instructed them to bathe in the water. At first they were confused until I told them to turn around and showed them the image of themselves going into the water and using it to remove the gunk on their skin and in their hair.
As they were cleaning themselves, I decided to prepared the stuff they would need. First food, I spawned a bunch of bloodberry and skyberry bushed and made them bare fruit. Done. Now for the tricky part, shelter. How am I going to do that. Oh, I can use the Grey Pillars as building materials but using them as walls would be too expensive and having that many in one place would cause them to starve and die. Maybe I could use one as an actual pillar for a teepee but I don't have anything to use fabric.. or I don't have anything now to use, I can just make it. Now time to experiment. If I can use my resources to make items and living things, can't I manipulate the blueprints? First experiment, I made a dead toad to see if I can only make living things. It worked, I even made two more for all of them to eat. Wait if I could have made dead things, I could have met the requirements for undead, whatever that's long past by now. Now let see I can change these materials to another state. Second experiment, tried something more simple like making withered weeds, just needed to make dead weeds and have the water removed. I used the results as bedding for my goblins. So I can change the properties of my templates, can I further manipulate the shape or form. Experiment number Three, technically a success. I tried to see if I could take the fibers and weave them into a piece of cloth but my thread control and weaving ability was not one could say good at all. The concept itself was proven correct but I had to reabsorb my shameful attempt before my children think less of me. I tried again with thicker strands which were the size of some of the thinner weeds since it was easier to work with. I then made quite simple clothes with this cloth with rough estimate of their sizes. They were just tunics and a rope thread which I knew how to make, just twist two strands individually as you wrap them around each other.
Now I was done with those experiments, I was ready to take it up a notch. Cloth that was as bad as this may work as clothes but would not protect them from the elements but I know what would, leather. You may ask, how am I going to make leather, well that is simple. Its just skin and I can defiantly at least make that. You may be saying that I am underestimating the leather making process and how difficult to turn skin into leather but I'm not dumb. You need to use tannins to preserve the material which is hard to find in nature but guess one place were naturally producing tannin is very abundant. I give three guess, just kidding, its bogs. And where are we, a Bog! All I need to do is spawn some skin and burry it. Accelerate the process with magic to make leather and then copy it to make as much leather as I want. So I did it and it worked as expected, well I needed to draw more tannins from the soil than I thought and the artificial leather is not as durable as the natural kind but it's still leather.
With the required tests complete, I made their shelter. I grew a Grey Pillar on my island and removed the life surrounding it. I decreased the moisture in the ground and covered it with dried weeds. I then made a tent of leather connected the top of the fungus and the ground with bone stakes. It even has a flap as an opening which can be open and closed. I even made a firepit made of stones and had dried and peat as fuel and dried weeds as tinder. Now I just have to figure out how to start a fire, meh I'm probably just tell them to bang rocks until they get a spark.
When they came back they were surprised with how much things changed and immediately figured out it was my doing making them prostrate themselves in front of me again. I told them that these were gifts for them, pointing out what was food, their clothes and new home. They then declared their gratitude for all of it but I felt the thought of not deserving emanating from this heads. Good thing they were born with some humility but I was not done with the gift giving. If they were going to be proper people one day they would need names. Inspired from the story of Genesis from Christianity, I decided to name the man after the first man Adam, the outgoing women Lilith and the other one Eve. I know it is a little on the nose for me being from Earth, but I would not have to worry about other otherworlders finding out until much later and I assume any otherworlder would not want to hurt one of their own. Even if there was an entity that would want to harm otherworlders would probably not get the reference. Plus I really like the names and think it fits very well. When I gave them their names, they again were surprised but legitimately grateful and instantly loved them. They actually been repeating their names all night and practicing their words too before they finally settled for the night. They were able to figure out fire after multiple tries and was startled when it worked. They liked the warmth but didn't understood its true purpose until I had to prevent them from eating their toads raw. They also ate multiple handfuls of berries, Adam especially like the sweetness while Eve admired the work of the tunics but they eventually turned in for the night after it turned dark with full stomachs and interesting first day.
Anyway happy birthday Lilith, Adam, and Eve.
