For the next couple of days, the goblins had been enjoying their presents. Adam was practicing almost nonstop to get familiar with the spear with some breaks in between for either eating, sleeping, going to the bathroom, and the occasional favor for Lilith to help her explore my domain. She has been keeping an eye on the map and been studying it to absorb as much information she could derive from it. The trips was to get the first hand experience of the terrain. On their travels they encountered some critters and beasts the wander into my territory but also found some noticeable landmarks like lonely boulders and some herbs which they brought back allowing me to gain the templates. On one of their trips they had a myconid wolf cross paths with them but they were not surprised since Lilith noticed it coming beforehand. Adam easily dispatched it due to its slow and clumsy movements. They tried to bring it back to eat it but I advised them against it since all that would have done was infect them so I dealt with the remains just incase.
For Eve, she got obsess with the spindle and been making as much thread she could. She even almost forgot what she was going to use them for before the other two snapped her out of her trance. Due to her not having a proper loom and having no experience whatsoever, her first attempts had been very messy but eventually got better with practice, especially since I made her a loom to work with, not a complex modern one but more like one of the ancient Greek looms, also known as warp weighted loom. The frame is made of bone and the thread is held down with rocks that was found nearby. Once she get better, I'm thinking about introducing her to the concepts of tapestry weaving and maybe embroidery.
A noticeable event that happened within this week was an earthquake that felt like it shook the whole entire valley. This made the goblins to panic and dash towards me. I tried to calm them down and trying to tell them it was not the end of the world but I was a little scared too because I did not knew the origin of the shake. What was that all about?
Dungeon Tooltips - The Spore Wastes exists above a large active [Red Leyline].
Oh, [Dungeon Tooltips], I almost totally forgot about you. How has you been, for I me I been fine until the ground literally shook. Was this caused by the leyline you mentioned, whatever that means anyways. Care to explain what just happened?
Dungeon Tooltips -
1. [Dungeon Tooltips] is incapable of emotions.
2. The earthquake is a common occurrence in this region due to the [Red Leyline] which would be known as a tectonic fault line.
3. Leylines are natural or artificial features in the planet's crust which conducts large amounts of energy. There are six main types in [Teahgra] which includes Red which was mentioned above, Grey that are great mountain ranges, Green as large forests, Blue for large bodies of water, Yellow for deserts, and Black for oceanic trenches.
4. Probably a volcano erupted a significant distance away but it is unknown.
Oh so this is common since we are in are on top of a tectonic plate boundary. It's kinda neat that the leylines are colored theme which reminds me of that card game but wait a volcano erupted! Are we in danger, will lava flow down and kill us? Will a toxic gas either descend from the mountains or appear from cracks in the ground? Is my children okay, will I die?
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
Dungeon Tooltips - Most of those questions can't be answered but there is a high probably that none of that would happen since there is no active volcanoes in you immediate area.
Oh thank God, for a second I thought I would have died a second time and almost had a full on panic attack there. This whole kerfuffle had all of us on edge and I was eventually able settle the goblins down. They were able to go back to their normal daily routines but they were sleeping uneasy that night while I contemplated the information I received from [Dungeon Tooltips]. If I am right above a leyline, as a dungeon would I be able to access the energy? I look at my energy reserves and noticed a small amount of my mana has some flavored as igneous stone mana and very very small traces of magma mana. If I could even access this energy source since my elements don't align with lava, I would have to expand deep down below and I don't even know how to expand at all yet. Also if Red means magma, Grey would probably mean stone, Blue and Green obviously be water mana and green lifeforce respectfully. That leaves Yellow and Black left. Well underwater trenches are one of the deepest and darkest places on earth so it makes sense for it to be Black for a place that is pitch-black. If it is dark that would probably means it would be darkness mana? Probably. For Yellow, it is harder to guess. Would it be sand, no there was no brown leylines to represent dirt so I don't think sand would count. Is it wind since the desert is known for its sandstorms, probably not. Leylines are described as features on the crust so something that is associated with the air would not be a leyline. Wait, if there a leyine for somewhere that is very dark, shouldn't there be one to represent the opposite, somewhere that is brightly lit and absorb a lot of heat and light from the sun? That is the literal description of a desert. So the Yellow leyline represent light mana but wouldn't that make it a white leyline? Since there is so much association with light and the color white but also all light from the visible spectrum together makes white light correct? But the majority of deserts yellow due to the sand, is that why it is Yellow?
These thoughts keep me busy for the rest of the night. My own thoughts have been keeping me entertained lately. Even though there is not much to do now, I need to start maintaining my focus on the real world or I will forget about reality all together. I know from experience back on Earth that daydreaming too much lead me to forget about social events with my friends and homework assignments, all because I as too busy trapped in fantasy land. It was not as bad as a human but I'm afraid that as a dungeon I would lose track of time easily due to the difference in timeframes. Heck I personally experienced here crazy experience with the passage of time, one time a minute felt like an hour and a whole day can feel like few hours. Time did not changed but how it felt did like how having fun can make time fly but it is way more drastic for an entity like me.
While thinking about all of this, ironically I missed the sun rise and the goblins waking up. You can see my problem don't you.
Anyways, the days continued to pass as normal until today. What was different this day was around noon I felt a disturbance in the force if you would want to call it. I could not pinpoint the feeling until I noticed a minute later a large group of people crossing the boundary of my domain. This sent me to panic a little again and I went to warn my children of the danger but I was not the only one who noticed them as Lilith was yelling to the other two to prepare as orange dots started to appear on the edge of the map. I hope this all goes well and no one get hurt.
