Chapter 7 - Oh, yeah. It's all coming together.

It has been a few days now since I first spawned my mosquito swarm. The stirges was able to mature before night fall on the first day and joined the rest. I have been acclimating the [crimson lifeforce] that I would need for my goblin project but it has been much slower than I thought. Turns out that the amount of of energy that can be extracted through this method is quite low but at least I had been gathering the required stamina with the blood but again the amount that one mosquito can acquire is only a pittance. The stirges can gather much more than their smaller counterparts but they take much longer to find a sufficient target due to their size increase. They would probably have to find large beasts to get enough blood like dinosaurs or something.

You may ask, why would you say dinosaur, isn't this a fantasy world not the prehistoric age. Well I did not at first knew some of the blood the stirges were gathering were from dinosaurs but I figured it out when yesterday I noticed a large monster accidently entered my domain. It was a literal SPINOSAURUS. It did not stay long or even noticed me, it probably wandered over here while hunting or something. It was from what I could tell maybe small for its species and a little malnourished, but I'm no expert and it was HUGE compared to me. Besides its surprise appearance, the must interesting aspect of it was the name I got from [Dungeon Tooltips]. The name they called it in this world was a Fan Drake and it was technically a lesser dragon. I'm honestly astonished that there are dinosaurs here but they are f*cking dragons. Are there t-rexes here, what about the Brachiosaurus. If these are dragons, does that mean pterodactyls are wyverns and the loch ness monster which was rumored to be a surviving dinosaur, a sea dragon. Wait, it said they were lesser dragons, so does that mean there are true dragons like the traditional fantasy dragons here. This train of though entertained me for the rest of the day but also night because turns out I can't sleep, don't need to either.

Another thing I did during those few days were to spawn a couple dire dragonflies with the extra resources the mosquitos brought. I did this because I needed creatures large enough to carry objects for me. I assumed that I could gain more templates by absorbing new materials so I ordered them to gather herbs, plants, and anything interesting that they could carry and bring back, practically anything I did not already had the template for. I also focused on looking for interesting stuff in and on top of the soil. These were the templates I gained.

Templates Found

|Flora|

Plants:

- Bloodberry (Cranberry)

- Skyberry (Bog Blueberry)

|Miscellaneous|

Bacterium:

- Bog Slime

  - Diseased Slime

Items:

- Rotting Iron

The dinosaur was not the only thing that surprised me those days. I was able to get relatively good templates. The Rotting Iron was very fascinating, at first it looked like regular bog iron but it is filled with [necrotic energy] and makes the life around it wither. Very potential use for it in the future due to its unique properties. I could only image all the items, traps, practically anything I could think of in the future. I also tried to spawn the slime since the energy cost was low and any type of [stamina] can be used. To sum of the experience, it was not enjoyable. What spawned was a golf ball sized clump of mucus. A literal oversized bacteria. In my opinion, it was even more gross than myself. Not wanting my future goblins to get something nasty, I reabsorbed the organic materials from the slime.

One thing that interesting I was not able to put together until I gained these plant templates was the meaning of the parentheses at the end. They are actually the name of the Earth variants of these species. At first this was just a theory that was made when I first looked at my templates for the first time since their parentheses looked like the scientific names that Paleontologists name their discoveries and the Spinosaurus helped along but everything came together when I saw cranberries and blueberries. So a lot of the races in this world are just creatures and flora from our world? I know for sure there was giant dragonflies existed back then and dinosaurs are obvious but there was huge mushroom pillars too? I don't recall there being goblins on Earth but where do all those folktales about them come from? And if there being a zombie apocalypse happening before I left so where did the Myconids come from? Is it like the evolved version of the ones that can control ants or there will be an apocalypse in the future and the timelines between these two worlds are separated because I assume we are in a different dimension than Earth due to well the magic.

Dungeon Tooltips - You are actually in the same universe, just in another galaxy. The reason for no magic in your origin world unlike others is due to the event known as the {Desolation of Ash and Darkness} which not just caused the extinction of your world's dragons but severely crippled the spiritual forces of your world which included dungeons. This also birth the [Demon Prince] of djinns which restricts you world from recovering the energy levels.

I honestly don't know how the react at all, I'm just stunned. I was like that for well over an hour. This had giant implications, how did the [heroes] react when they learnt this? I legitimately did not know how to process this information so I just decided to forget about it. Don't look at me like that, this shatters any of my understandings of the world or reality. Almost everything I learnt about the Earth either may be wrong or incomplete. Can I even trust science anymore? No, I can because science is the study of how the natural world works, if magic is part of reality, it is also apart of science. Its just our understanding of science only applies to Earth which turns out to be an outlier compared to the rest of the universe which messes up the data.

Anyways, after this revelation I decided to continue with my project which came to completion today. I gathered enough resources to make my three goblins, yeah. I decided to make three due to two reasons, one there is strength in numbers especially since they will be small and weak like most goblins. The second is that after observing my mosquitos one day I found out that they were sneakily keeping some of the blood from me to make eggs of their own. At first I as upset to their betrayal but then I noticed that their eggs were under my influence like the mother. This was a cost effective move, if my goblins can reproduce that means I would not have to make more when they die. So I decided on three since it is one of the most fundamental numbers, the holy trinity, the three primary and secondary colors, the three little pigs. Three. Also I think having one boy and two women would be smart. I could have made more but I don't have the patience to wait for the mosquitos to gather the required resources.

After deciding that my little island needs more space for them, I brought more peat from deeper in the ground placing it along the shore and spawned weeds on top, don't worry I still have enough for the goblins. Once I felt it was adequate I started the process. At that moment, a large amount of energy surged forth from my core and through my roots into three places. At these spots, a red fleshy bulbs sprouted from the ground and started to grow in size. It continued to grow at that speed until it got around a cute size of a football and then slowed down, it was still growing fast but not at the lightning speed earlier. This will take some time due to them to being born as adults since I felt baby goblins would be entirely useless. As they grew I spawned some normal dragonflies to stop the wild mosquitos from feeding on my children, wait where did that came from, whatever. I also ordered the dire ones and the stirges to guard them from bigger threats and being turned into easy meals. I am practically counting down the minutes for them to hatch?, for them to be born. I can't wait for them to come and see what they can do.
