‘Fourth Runic Seal - Release’
Unlike the previous unsealed runic seals, another grand visual display was not what could be seen. Rather, the intense outpouring of white-hot plasma like a hose from the hilt of the sword that could be seen even far far away in the battlefield, solidified into a white-hot blade. It was still massive, rivaling the length of a leviathan and a girth a whole quarter the length of the blade, but plasma no longer fell onto the demonic forest to cause devastation. It was simply a colossal solid blade of pure light.
The way the sword worked was to draw from the rune of destruction with fire as the medium. Runic seals acted to limit the rate at which the rune could supply firepower with an exponential amount of it made available to use with every runic seal unsealed. That was to say, every unsealing unleashed an entire league of power more in terms of destructive capacity.
Although this change looked insignificant, it was anything but. The blade simply became a hidden tiger, concealing the increased power within the blade to bare its fangs only when the wielder demanded. The power was immense. Mia's arms trembled. Sweat began to accumulate from every pore on her delicate face, and her fringe stuck to her forehead. However, the perspiration this time was also from the weight of the blade, not just the increased heat, since the ultra-heated plasma that had been ejecting out from the sword was now held within it, accumulated and waiting to explode outwards on command.
Mia had unleashed this power only once before, in the demon lord encounter. The fact that today, she had decided to do what had nearly killed her back then spoke to the trust she had in the increased capabilities of her friends to contain the backlash of releasing up to the fourth seal.
And neither Noah nor Evan disappointed.
In the start of the battle with the dragon, Evan had used five grand magic circles the size of cumulonimbus clouds. Out of those five, only four were used immediately against the dragon. The last circle was the First Circle - Water Ball, and had been held into he skies once executed. With the enormous mana of the grand magic circle combined with the simplicity of the spell, the quantity of water was so great, it was as if a lake had been lifted into the skies.
Through experimentation, they had determined the lowest concentration of blood in water for Noah to be able to control the mixtire with the combined control of both leviathan and chimera-enhanced vampire. An appropriate amount of blood had been mixed into the water ball, and had been held up in the stratosphere.
Thd source of the blood to mix with the water ball had been accumulated and had been sent up into the stratosphere way back when the invasion had just started, when Noah was still in wyrm form. It was to generate the immense volume of blood to add to the water ball, that he had mimicked the chimera, vampire and troll in the wyrm form, and one of the biggest reasons why he had chosen the strategy of hovering over the battlefield as a wyrm.
Outside of their expectations, when the demiplane had been first erected, Noah had worried about losing control of the blood ball and flooding the battlefield in rain as the ball fell, but to his good fortune, the barrier did not wrestle away his ability to still control the blood ball and hold its altitude.

And now, the ball of blood and water was rocketing towards Mia.
Within the dome, Noah’s eyes opened with a flash.
“Mia! Ball coming!”
As his eyes opened, he saw within the mouth of the dragon, a ball of light. If he was able to see Mia’s blade, he would understand that this ball of light did not lose out in the size of either his blood ball or the plasma sword in either way. All three were the size of a leviathan. It was half the size of the dragon, a size only possible to be unleashed because the dragon no longer had a mouth that could limit the size of the dragon’s breath. This was the dragon going beyond its limits to two hundred percent!
The ball of blood that had been rocketing towards Mia, similarly sized to the plasma sword, exploded apart in spectacular fireworks into a million droplets right before it reached the three of them. The droplets of blood that burst out condensed together into waves then surged back inwards, towards the three of them who were hovering in mid air.
Evan collapsed his massive heat shield cone, since it was no longer necessary, and constructed a different structure.
‘String Armory - Guillotine’
A rectangle formed from the roof of the dome as a base, with the great plasma blade within the rectangle. The rectangle and blade were in the same vertical plane, such that the length of the top of the rectangle was above and parallel to the blade.
It was a guillotine that stretched from the roof of the dome to the heavens, with the plasma blade as its blade.
Blood began to wrap around and seep into all parts of the guillotine made of string. The weakest parts of it were reinforced, and the moving parts of it were powered, motorized. At the side of the plasma blade that faced away from the earth, a blood mist hung that attached a strong electrical charge to the back of the blade. The blunt roof of the guillotine was neutrally charged. Thus, a fierce ionic wind was generated, the same mechanism by which rockets on earth accelerated.
Unlike the classical guillotine, gravity was not the only force that would propel the blade downwards. Ionic propulsion, use of blood to motorize the moving parts of the hardened string guillotine skeleton, and a blade of plasma.
It was now closer to a rocket-propelled bloody pile bunker, with a missile as its blade!
Noah’s eye saw. The dragon was ready to release.
“Mia! He’s coming! Now!”
Far above,
“Evan, now!”
“Roger!”
The blade began to shine and emit heat behind it, adding a fierce golden touch to the blue-red glow of the ionic propulsion from the blood mist. Thousands of strings creaked, but they held and transmitted the force of Evan’s arms, who was pulling on them with veins popping all over his body and a reddened face.
Even Mia, her delicate face was no different. Mana around her and within her was like an unrestrained torrent as she pushed down on the colossal blade.
As for Noah, he unleashed all his mana, which burst out of his body and signaled his incoming attack to the dragon.
But before the dragon could fire it.
The blade fell like a meteor.
‘Combo Technique - Bloody Wrath of Gaia's Right Hand!’
With the dragon’s weakened state, the barrier was also weakened.
Such a weakened barrier could not contain the joint attack of three of the former heroes!
Immediately upon contact, massive rays of light burst out and orbited in rampant circles, and a great crack appeared on the surface of the dome.
This crack was quickly followed by another dozen smaller cracks that traveled down the surface of the dome.
Noticing the cracks, the dragon angled its head upwards, and the massive ball of light followed its movements to point upwards. At the instant the dragon saw the cracks, it understood the situation.
And wasted no time.
‘Dragon’s Breath! - 200%!’
A beam—no, an unstoppable torrent of pure light was fired straight upwards, at the roof of the dome.
