With a large pushing gesture of Noah’s arm, the spears of execution converged upon the dragon like shooting stars of crimson as they descended unto the dragon.
Each spear possessed the power of an eighth-circle mage’s most powerful spell. In other words, this was no different from the unbridled, full-power attack of a legion of mages!
Though none of the scales could be chipped, the spears struck the dragon and promptly exploded into a mist of blood, shrouding the dragon's visibility. Then, the blood mist re-coagulated into spears and struck the dragon again. It was a bombardment of hundreds of spears every second, each possessing the power to obliterate a low-circle Lord-ranked warrior in just one strike. The dragon roared under the bombardment, its fury being made known under the thunderous spears.
And then the real thunder came.
Strangely, the space within the dome began to darken. The dragon was unable to see it due to the thick layer of blood mist shrouding it, but on the barrier, a thick layer of thunderclouds had begun to form. Light began to be trapped within the clouds, darkening the space as if signaling the approach of a storm.
As the dragon began to move mana for a dragon breath again, another bolt of lightning was struck the dragon's snout. Noah used the opportunity while the dragon was held down and unable to see him to condense another bolt. The dragon’s head was flicked backward with a great clap of sparks. Instantly, the familiar pain allowed the dragon to understand the purpose of the bolt, and it attempted to separate itself from the ground to escape what was coming the same way it had done before.
But the blood mist did not allow such an easy escape!
The hover enchantment - Noah was able to understand the general way it worked with his arcane eye. It amplified the pressure differential that wings created to amplify lift. But all if the pressure above the wings were made artificially greater with the use of blood mist as opposed to below, the amplified and reversed pressure differential would reverse the direction of lift - and anchor the dragon to the ground!
With that, from the clouds that layered the barrier, with just a single thunderbolt starting off the chain, much thicker bolts of lightning began to rain down on the dragon. Each bolt was as thick as a person, and the lightning bolts appeared at a greater frequency than the spears. The dome turned into a gray world of blue and red, mixing occasionally to become a purple luminescence. The world of the dome seemed to exist only as a hellscape to exert the wrath of the heavens onto the dragon, and it was helpless to resist.
Noah was not done yet.
‘Blood Construct - Slingshot!’
Noah had sought inspiration from Evan, and had realized the possibility of mimicking a simplified version of Evan’s string armory with Enhanced Blood Control. Only basic structures were possible for him, and these structures had to be significantly simpler as compared to what Evan could construct. One such construct was the slingshot. A simple weapon often used by children, but in a fantasy world where elasticity had no real upper limit, it was a weapon capable of boasting unprecedented power.

The crimson slingshot was five meters tall and equally as wide. The Y shape of the slingshot, though usually somewhat comical, was not so funny for the dragon looking at the slingshot cocked back almost fifty meters behind the Y-shape. If Noah had not sent a large amount of blood gushing out of the ripped wings deep into the ground then hardened it to use as firm roots to anchor the slingshot, the slingshot itself would have undoubtedly uprooted the earth and flown backwards at supersonic speeds.
Noah, who currently was leaning back against the crimson band of the tense slingshot, closed his singular eye, and calmed his heart that was furiously pumping adrenaline around his body.
In that moment, he allowed the deafening cracks of lightning, the thunderous explosion of the spears as they burst toward the dragon, the gentle noises of the swirling and colliding debris, and even the roar of his own rapidly circulating blood quieten down, and he sunk into the depths of his own consciousness.
In his current meditative state, he felt the connection to his own spirit temporarily reach an elevated state.
He exhaled, focusing on his exhale. This exhale was dense with mana.
He then opened his eye, and the dragon felt like a great being had awakened before it. Through the dense layer of blood mist, the purple luminescence of the battered dragon snapped open, and it saw.
His act of shattering of the sound barrier was inaudible over the lightning and collisions.
To anyone else, the a trail of blue and red that seemed so fast it stretched out as it streaked almost a kilometer under the overcast landscape.
The slingshot released Noah at such a blistering speed that he immediately shattered the sound barrier like a train through paper. He appeared simply like twin bolt of lightning a blur of blue and red from the afterimages that he left in the sky from the wake of his path, and the wind that dared to impede him screamed as it was ripped to shreds. It was only because the dragon possessed the draconic eyes that the dragon could see the arm swathed in a thick layer of lightning it appeared uniformly blue, as well as the blood that burst out from the ripped wings on his back like jets to propel him forward.
To Noah himself, he had to endure the soul-tearing pain that came from carrying dozens of lightning bolts on his arm, simulating each and every nerve on it to an unimaginable level.
But he only had to endure for less than a second!
The impact that followed was beyond anything Noah had ever outputted before.
Time seemed to slow to a crawl at the moment right before Noah extended the punch, for both Noah and dragon, when he was right before the brows of the dragon.
Even though the eyes of the dragon were entirely a luminescent purple, making it usually impossible to discern where the dragon’s gaze was focused on before it, Noah, who was right before the center of the dragon’s brows, saw the gaze of the dragon on him through his peripheral vision.
“Burn, you fucking overgrown lizard!”
Still in the world of stopped time, a small arc of electricity arced from the dragon to Noah. The barrage of lightning on the dragon paused at this moment.
The next, the thousand kilometer-long thick tendrils of lightning that had been distributed evenly along the dragon's gigantic body from all over the dome burst onto Noah.
