Hey!

I'm making this a dedicated chapter as I have a fair bit to say in regards to the state of the story and my plans for it in the future.

This is actually the second revision of the story, and as things are now, I still feel that it has the right direction and foundation, but with that being said, it's creeping up on its second birthday (which I will absolutely be doing something fun for), and I have certainly grown as a writer since then and ironed out some of the finer details of the story.

I need to take a true and proper break from writing for a little while. Maybe start a couple drafts of side projects I've had on the brain, play some games, actually do some reading for once, and have myself a proper hiatus.

However, during my time gone, I am still editing what has already been posted, so it's not as though I'm completely throwing this story to the side.

I've already begun the lengthy process of editing the roughly 150 thousand words I've already written - which is actually the first and foremost issue. I'll be going back and trying to cut some content. Arc 0 will be shortened and clarified, given some meaning, and the time Sorra spends in the cave, as well as Sage and Hyaru's adventures outside of it, will be condensed to the more important details and given proper meaning.

And the biggest detail, Vaxen, who I clearly forgot about and didn't have the heart to find a way to re-include, so I'll be making sure to bring him back into the story how he was originally intended to be.

At some point in the coming few weeks before Arc 2 begins, I will post an intermediate chapter to help all the characters transition to the coming plot, and with that, you guys will see the incredible artwork I've been sitting on for this arc!

I may also do a small segment with Sefal's backstory as a witch, or on one of the stories Lasory tells or Levahn writes in his notebooks - but on this I'm undecided. I may just move to Arc 2 for now so you guys don't have to wait longer.

I'll be posting all the new changes at once when they're done, and will follow with a short summary of the changes, or a synopsis including the new details - one of the two - so that any new or changed events don't confuse you later.

I don't expect to take long. Until then, sit tight! There's always more Midnight Wings to tell, and I don't care if it's a hundred or a million of you reading, I'm still going to be writing.
