Progressive/Adventure Fantasy Isekai ~ Long-Term, Wide Narrative Vincent has cheated death a few too many times. After waking up in another's body on another world, finding misfortune and betrayal at every turn through raids, assassination attempts, encounters with the past, and being tossed away into a deep and infinite mountain cave, he finds the strength to evolve and fight his way up from, literally, rock bottom. He meets Sefal, a woman whose miserable life has been controlled by others, like him, and the two decide to abandon their reality and forge a destiny of their own. However, in order to live life on his own terms, be it alone or at the top of the food chain, Vincent finds himself in the midst of an age-old rellighting war, where he must grapple with his identity as a demon, his complicating revenge, his feelings for Sefal, and just about the whole world itself. Through an ever-growing network of allies, favors, debts, and choices, Vincent must soar from the depths of hell, carried by nothing but midnight's wings. Genres/tropes: Isekai, Adventure, Fantasy, Comedy, Romance, Slice of Life, Epic, War, Multiple Main Characters, Action, Psychological, Strategy, Revenge, Transformation, Body Swap/Gender Swap, Progressive, Royalty, Action/Thriller, Lore, Discovery All of these named genres and tropes appear in some strong fashion throughout the course of this story (being that they aren't just offhandedly named for clickbait and appear only once.) This story is (obviously) my deepest passion, and if you've made it this far, here's a little bit about what you can expect to get from this story: It takes time to delve into backstories and side stories, and is overall a very wide-focused narrative with a few main characters. I make sure to let in all the genres, so you'll get a taste of revenge, romance, slice of life, action, a small pinch of mystery, some aspects of war and strategy, (attempted) comedy [ ;) ], and plenty of lore and plot to fill your cups with. While (at the time of writing this) it hasn't been done a whole lot yet, I plan to do fun lore-based segments where I touch on past lives or experiences of characters or fun side adventures to give the narrative a break, but (again as of the time of writing this), there's so so so much planned for this wonderful tale, and if perhaps you want to see how this wonderful epic evolves and plays out and the many intertwining and interlocking characters and plot lines, then please do check it out and give it a chance! ...perhaps a review, if you're so inclined :3
