Chapter 8: New Weapon and A Visitor

-----Sol's PoV-----

Sitting on the bed, I focus on feeling the Divine Star energy in the atmosphere.

I then caught a reaction, it seems it is quite attracted to me thanks to my Legacy, the energy is really calm, no fluctuation, when it starts making contact with me, it makes me feel somewhat safe.

If the past inheritors knew what was happening, their eyes would've bulged out of their sockets.

Because even with the Legacy, Sol should not have been able to control the Divine Star energy so easily.

The Divine Star energy is supposed to be quite wild and dangerous, even for past Divine Star Legacy Inheritors, the cause of this is because of Sol's affinity with this energy in the first place.

After I felt the energy's reaction, I focused on making the frame and the insides of my weapon on my bed. I proceed on compressing energy within it for as long as I can which caused the weapon to shine a glitter because of the star energy characteristics.

After about 15 minutes, I finally reached my limits, my body is soaked by sweat and my hair and clothes are sticking to my body because of that. I noticed that my hair have turned glittering silver colored, I assumed that this is another change the Divine Star Legacy gave me.

After the weapon is finished, the shine of the weapon fades and reveals the weapon that I have been making all this time.

A Gun, a desert eagle pistol to be exact. I then proceeded to appraise the gun that I just finished, until suddenly an information window showed up in my mind.

My guess was proven correct, I gained a skill to appraise things, but I'm wondering how can I learn a Rare skill so easily.

I decided to just put it in the back of my mind for now and go out and test my gun.

But I suddenly remembered that I was unconcious in the forest before I was brough here, so I decided to go and find my mother first since it's already morning.

5 minutes after searching around the household, I finally heard my mother's voice, but I can hear another voice mixed with mother's voice, so I decided to go to the source of mother's voice.

After a few moments of walking, I finally reached the place where the voices are coming from, the drawing room, I'm guessing that mother is attending a guest.

So I softly knocked at the door and said.

"Mother, I have woken up."

No reply came, but suddenly, there's a sound of rushed foot steps from the other side of the door before the door got swiftly pushed open by my mother who have face brimming with happiness. She then looked around and stopped when she found me.

She then rushed to me and picked me up and hugged me, I didn't resist because I know I must have worried her a lot, so while hugging her back, I said.

"Sorry for worrying you mom."

"As long as you're safe, I'm happy Sol."

She said while hugging me tighter.

I then let my gaze wander around and I spot a women and a little girl with a matching long silver hair looking at our way in wonder from the drawing room mother just left from, so I said.

"Mom, what about your guests?"

"Ah, yes, sorry about that."

Mom said while reentering the drawing room with me in her arms.

"It's fine, why don't you introduce us to him?"

"Sure, Sol, these two are Liza and her 1 year old daughter, Elena. They are from the Fricies household, a household that's in a friendly relation with us, and they are from a noble household, a duke to be exact, unlike us which is a normal household."

"Ah, my name is Sol'Lux Dractum, pleased to make your acquaintance."

I then did a bowed my head slightly.

"Fufu, no need to be so formal, my name is Liza Fricies, and this is Elena Fricies it's our pleasure."

Elena echoed, they then slightly bowed their head.

I was surprised that my parents are friends of a duke household, but then I realized something and asked my mother.

"Mother, which kingdom do we live in."

"We live in the Earlshide kingdom in the Orion Continent."

I was quite surprised, my mom isn't human, but she lives in a human kingdom.

As if reading my mind, Liza said to me.

"Don't worry, the human kingdom doesn't discriminate against other races, but sometimes a few arrogant nobles might discriminate other races."

Liza said with a wry smile.

"Thank you, uhhh..."

"You can just call me aunt Liza."

"Okay aunt Liza."

When I said that, aunt Liza made a bright smile. I then turned and said to my mother.

"Mother, I'm going back to the courtyard to train."

"Why don't you rest for a bit, you just woke up, your body should be tired."

My mother said worriedly, but I replied with a firm tone filled with determination.

"No, my strength is still to weak, I noticed after fighting the ferocious tiger, but I promise I will watch over myself."

"You're only 1 year old, but you are already filled with determination, I wish you would be more unrestrained and act more like your age."

My mother said with a sad smile. So I said with an apollogetic tone.

"I'm sorry mother, I promise I will spend more time with everyone else later on."

But suddenly aunt Liza butted in the conversation.

"Why don't you bring little Elena with you, she must be quite bored listening to me and your mother talking."

I thought for a bit then replied.

"Okay, I'll watch over her for auntie."

Aunt Liza then pushed Elena to me and I offered my hand, but Elena just stopped for a second before proceeding out of the room, I raised an eyebrow at her arrogant act before following her out of the room.

Arriving at the courtyard, I secretly brought out my weapons out of the weapon space and start rummaging the pile of weapons to choose a weapon to train in.

But suddenly, a Elena's voice sounded out.

"...Why do you train with so much weapon?"

"I train using every possible type of weapons, may it be a sword, scythe, bow, or even unarmed combat, I train using all of them."

I replied indifferently without turning my back. But she then looked around and once again asked a question.

"Why do you train alone? Don't you have a teacher?"

"I like to train alone, I hate disturbance during training time because it disturbs my focus."

"Then why did you bring me with you?"

"Because auntie, your mother asked me to."

She went quite for a second before asking once again.

"Do you dislike me?"

I stopped rummaging through the weapon pile and turned around and asked indifferently.

"What makes you say that?"

She then looked down and said.

"You never talked to me, the only thing you did was offering me your hand, just like all the other noble kids, all you want is my title as the duke's daughter and not myself."

She said with a hoarse voice, that sounded like she might cry at any second.

I was surprised about her thinking process, I'm a reincarnated person, so It's obvious I was quite mature, she's a daughter of a duke, but even so, how can her mind mature so quickly?

My train of thoughts came to a halt after hearing a sobbing voice, I then turned my focus to Elena and I can see her trying to forcibly hold back her tears.

Flustered, I got closer to her and tried to calm her down, but she just pushed my hand away and said.

"Don't try to comfort me, all you people want is my title and not me, I then need comforting from you people."

I then forcibly hold her hand and moved my face closer to hers and said in a serious face.

"I don't care about your title as a duke, I just thought that you were arrogant because you just walked out of the room after I offered you my hand."

She was surprised, but then quickly calmed down and said.

"I'm sorry... but will you be my friend no matter what even if I'm not a duke's daughter?"

I then gave a faint smile and said.

"Yes, even if you are a commoner, I will still befriend you."

She then cried and dived into my chest while I caressed her hair.

After a few minutes of crying, Elena slumped down while I lifted her up on my back and brought her back to the drawing room where my mother and aunt Liza is at.

When I reached the drawing room, they were surprised at the sight of me lifting the unconscious Elena on my back.

Aunt Liza then decided to bring her back home without asking for any explanation.

Mother then went to her room without asking for an explanation either, I appreciate that they didn't ask anything because I prefer Elena telling the story herself.

I then went to the library to read because my training time was used up for accompanying and calming Elena down, but I didn't regret it, I was happy to help her.
