Chapter 11: The Adoption and Confession

After returning to the carriage, Sophia-Oneesama and Elena didn't say a word, they might've considered my feelings and I appreciate that.

We then reached the mansion and silently walked back to the drawing room while receiving wondering stares from the maids and butlers because of the odd scene of me carefully carrying little Aaliyah in my embrace.

Arriving at the drawing room, I knocked at the door silently before opening it.

Inside, we saw mother and aunt Liza talking to each other before turning their head to us and showing a surprised and questioning expression.

They sat there quietly, looking at us, as if waiting for an answer from us patiently, I silently thanked them inside my heart before saying.

"Mother, this baby's name is Aaliyah Tenebris, she was born yesterday and already lost both of her parents, I ask of mother to let me adopt her as my little sister, I promise that I will take full responsibility of her actions."

I said sincerely while bowing my head deeply.

Everyone in the room was astonished by my request, because this is the second time I have made a real request and the first time I have bowed my head so deeply.

Mother was the first to regain her composure before saying.

"Sol, you are my son, you do not need to bow your head to make a request to your mother, now raise your head."

"...Thank you, mother."

I then raised my head while mother let out a sigh before saying.

"Now, for your request, we will adopt her to our family and treat her as one, I'll get your father to agree to this whether he likes it or not, and now, let her be now and forever be known as Aaliyah Dractum."

"Thank you mother, I promise I will tell you... everything, when we get back..."

Mother just smiled and took Aaliyah off my hand and caressed her face, Aaliyah have similiar characteristics as her mother, black hair and violet eyes, but her eyes are light violet unlike her mother's dark violet.

We then said our goodbyes and returned to our household. Looking at it from the outside, it looks like a small sized mansion.

And surprisingly, Aaliyah was quiet 

We then went to the drawing room after we had a maid to go call father to the drawing room.

After father arrived, he sat next to mother and Sophia-Oneesama while I sat across them, I then decided to start talking.

"On the road to the mansion, we saw a carriage being attacked, the mercenaries guarding the carriage was killed by bandits, the mother of Aaliyah, Alicia, died protecting Aaliyah, on her last moments, she asked me to take care of Aaliyah, so I accepted, and sister, you saw that all the bandits that was attacking the carriage have all died right?"

"Yes... the road was filled with blood and dismembered bodies, was that... all done by you?"

"Yes, I killed them all... you must be wondering how I, a 5 years old boy can kill people so easily without feeling nausea."

I than made a smile between a wry and helpless smile.

"Well, I... am a reincarnated person, sent here from another world by one of the gods of this world, Virs, The Goddess of Life and Death, to be her champion, and in my past life, I have killed many, many people..."

I then went quiet to let my family digest these information.

Then mother suddenly starts speaking.

"I... do not care if you are a reincarnated person from another world, or a champion of a god. All I know is, that you are my son and my family, and that's all I care about."

Mother then hugged me tightly.

I was quite surprised, but I just smiled happily, I don't know why, but when she said that, I feel like a burden has been lifted from my shoulder.

"So what if you're a reincarnated person, you're still my cute and handsome little brother."

Oneesama, no, Sophia then hugged my back in a child like manner.

"Even if you are from another world, you are still our flesh and blood, and I... have some secrets to tell you, this will involve Sol only, because only Sol's body holds the pure bloodline of my ancestors."

Father said with a sigh, I was quite surprised and excited, because father is going to tell me the other half of my race.

"I will explain it tomorrow, so you can get Aaliyah comfortable to the mansion and spend time with the others, because... this might have a huge change to your future."

Hearing that, I was quite nervous, but Sophia and mother just stayed quiet.

So, after a few moments, Sophia and mother stopped hugging me and called a maid to get a cradle for Aaliyah, because mother doesn't want to waste things, mother told the maid to get my old cradle, I spent the rest of the day reading near Aaliyah so I can take care of her at the same time before going to bed, because the cradle is in mother's room, I have to leave Aaliyah with mother.

The next day, father called me directly to go to his office, I don't know what work does father do, but he most of the time stays in his office.

Inside, there is a line of bookshelf that extends until father's office table, father looks like he is currently writing something, when he heard the sound if door opening, he stop writing and raised his head before making a faint smile, his smile looked like a self-mocking smile.

Father then stood up and pats my head before gesturing me to follow him, without hesitation I followed him.

We then went out of the mansion and into the forest behind the mansion, I had no doubts that father must be really powerful to enter the forest that's filled with ferocious beasts without hesitation.

After walking for about an hour, we saw a cavern inside a mountain, we then entered the cave.

Inside, there are a no torches, but the cave is brightly lit by the natural crystal inside the cave, the crystal in the cave let out bloody glittering glow. Inside this dark cave, the blood red glittering glow of the crystals made the crystal look like a blood red star in the night sky.

We then entered a cavern in the shape of an upside down bowl before father turned around and looked at me in the eye, I don't know why, but father's atmosphere is extremely domineering, unlike his usual carefree atmosphere.

Father then suddenly said.

"Sol, I... no, to be exact, me, you and your ancestors, are not human, this, you should have noticed quite a long time ago, but what we truly are... is something that many people feared in the past, we..."

Father then closed his eyes before snapping it eyes open, revealing a slit pupils that looks like a dragon's before exclaiming in a domineering voice.

"Are Star Asura Draconians!!!"

I was quite surprised, I knew I wasn't human, but never have I guessed that I am a half draconian, but before I could ask anything, father continued.

"You might be wondering, what is the difference between a normal draconians and us, Star Asura Draconians. But first, let me ask you, what are the diffrence between draconians and normal dragons?"

Receiving that question, I went into a deep thought before answering.

"Draconians are dragons that can turn human or only summon half of their dragon-like body parts, draconians are commonly known to be stronger than dragons because of the innate abilities they have are stronger than dragon's abilities."

Father then laughed unrestrainedly before saying.

"Correct, my son is really smart, now I shall tell you about what makes us, Star Asura Draconians, really special. Our race is an extremely powerful type of draconian, we have the power of the stars, and the bloodlust and strength of an asura. But because we are too powerful, the other draconians feared us."

Saying that, extreme bloodlust emanated from father before he continued.

"Our ancestors are powerful characters, and they were feared by other draconian races, so the draconians banded together and drived us out of the Sacra continent, our ancestors were forced to move, because of our original small amount of number, we don't dare to go to the central continent, so we went to Earlshide in the Orion continent as the Dractum family, as humans."

Father then closed his eyes once more before opening it again, revealing his normal, human-like pupils and said.

"Because of this, you will have some draconians that will try to kill you, so forgive me and your ancestors, we can try to diminish your ancestral bloodline so other draconians won't notice your bloodline."

Father said with a regretful and loving tone. I then answered without hesitation.

"I will accept my ancestral bloodline, even if other draconians might try to kill me, I do not mind, I will use this power with heads held high to protect mother and the others."

Father's eye then brighten up.

"Good, you are trully my son, now, I shall awaken your bloodline, the quality of your bloodline depends on its purity, it is divided into:

Common Bloodline,

Ancestral Bloodline,

Ancient Bloodline,

Heavenly Bloodline,

Divine Bloodline.

The bloodline of our race will be atleast Ancestral Bloodline, with Divine Bloodline as the strongest, after your bloodline awakened, I will help you determine your bloodline quality."

After saying that, father lightly threw a glittering crimson pendant at me, looking closer, it seems to be carved into the shape of a coiling dragon.

"Now send your will into the pendant to activate it, usually, the more powerful your bloodline is, the longer it takes for your bloodline to activate."

After father told me that, I closed my eyes and sat down in a cross-legged position, then I tried sending my will into the pendant.

A few moments later, I opened my eyes, and I saw a void space, looking down my body, I saw that my body is in a spirit-like form.

Suddenly, a pair of piercing golden dragon eye showed up in the void of space, for some reason, I feel no danger from it, in fact, I sense a feeling of familiarity from it. There was no sound in the void of space, until suddenly a domineering voice rumbled out.

"Descendant of my Star Asura race, it seems you are a half-ling, born from a mating between my descendant and someone from another race, but no matter, you still hold the bloodline of my race, so you have the qualification to hold the power of Star Asura Dragons, now, I shall send in my will to activate your bloodline. Child, do not resist, you may faint if you wish to, because while I am inspecting your bloodline, your soul will feel agonizing pain."

I then did as I was told and calmed my mind and put down the defences on my mind.

A golden beam of light then shot out from the dragon's eye and into my eyes.

I then felt as if my body was cut by a thousand knife and then bathed in flames while being bitten by millions of ants, it was agonizing, but I decided to stay conscious and forced my mind to stay awake.

I don't know how long it has been, I have long lost the sense of time, my soul was tempered in this hell like place, my soul felt as if it was chopped, burnt, and bitten for who knows how many times, but I still preserved.

Then I suddenly I felt a surge of power and suddenly all the torturing feelings disappeared from my spirit body, my soul body felt as if it was strengthen by who knows how many times.

Suddenly, the golden dragon eye showed up once more, the dragon said in a surprised tone.

"What a pleasent surprise, my descendant, you have a powerful will and perseverance. And even more astonishing, you have a Divine Bloodline, my descendant, your future prospects will be astonishing, now, I shall send you back to the material world and let you test your new powers from your awakened bloodline, I hope you shall have a bright future ahead of you."

I was dazed by the revelation of my bloodline's rank, but I quickly composed myself and gave a deep thankful bow to the dragon's eye before I felt a force pulling my soul out of the void space.

I'm quite excited to test my new powers.
