Chapter 14: Cultivation and Second Meeting

-----Sol's PoV-----

After the maid guided me to father's room, she bowed and left without a word. I took a quick glance at her and shrugged my shoulder at her actions.

I then stared at the room's door in a daze for moment before taking a deep breathe and entering the room.

Inside, I can father's usual room that looks like an office, but this time, there is a praying mat in the middle of the room.

Currently, father is sitting in a lotus position on the praying mat. He is currently in his Draconian form with shiny silver scales with crimson hue. But looking closer, father's Draconian form seems to be a bit weaker compared to mine.

When I walked closer to the mat, father's eye lids slowly opens, but I can still feel father's dragon eyes that's filled with sharp bloodlust.

"Change to your Draconian form and sit in a lotus position on the mat."

I complied and did as father said.

Closing my eyes, I  activated《Dragonification》and scales starts emerging from my skin, while senses heightened considerably.

"Try sensing the Qi in the air, but use your mind and soul, not your senses. Imagine that Qi is water, while the your bloodlust is another type of water, and then combine them into another type of water before absorbing it like air."

I then tried to do it as father said. Closing off my senses, I only felt emptiness, as if the world is no longer there and there is only me in the world.

After what seems to be 5 minutes, I lost my sense of time, as if I have disconnected from the world and entered a brand new realm.

If Sol's father knew about Sol's current state, he would be stunned speechless by this should be impossible event.

Sol's current state is a state that only came out a few times in history, longed by every cultivator and is treated as a myth because of its rarity, Qi World Fusion State.

After entering this weird state, I can finally sense and feel the Qi of the world, but weirdly, it feels as if I can see Qi in a gaseous form. I then tried probbing the gaseous Qi, and suddenly, the view suddenly changed to the one arround the Qi I probed. If I have to describe it in another way, it's like opening another eye that can see the world in another perspective using Qi.

I then emanated my bloodlust and the star energy inside my body while trying to control the Qi in the atmosphere. But I surprisingly found out that it's ridiculously easy, as if the Qi is happy to follow my orders. I was dumbfounded for a moment but I then regained my composure and continued to try to do it as how the skill described. 

I then tried fusing my star energy and bloodlust with the Qi that I have controlled, but I soon found out that it's harder than how it sounded.

Qi, star energy and bloodlust are not the same, so they naturally repel each other like water and oil.

Clicking my tounge, I start trying to comprehend the fusing process of the Qi, star energy and bloodlust.

After around the time it takes for an incense stick to burn passed, I finally found a connection between the Qi and my bloodlust aura.

I then use that connection as rope and tied both energies together before the energies starts to fuse together.

Not long after, the process is finally finished, and the combined Qi entered my body.

My senses then starts to return and I slowly opened my eyes.

The first thing I saw after I opened my eyes is father's gaping mouth and a hint of red gas around my body.

Not long after, the gas then slowly starts to dissipate and father finally recomposed himself.

"Truly worthy to be called a Divine Bloodline, the purity of your fused Qi is of the highest level, and even your comprehension ability is abnormally high, I guess this should be something from your past life."

Father then sighed with admiration before continuing.

"Now you have reached the Apprentice Stage, it won't be long before you manage to reach the Mortal Stage. The Apprentice Stage is only when you are learning to absorb, store and circulate Qi.

But during the Mortal Stage, you will learn to use the Qi to strengthen the body and use Qi externally to use it on Techniques.

Now, let's talk about what will happend after this since your talent is to big for us to hold you here, especially since the Goddess Virs herself sent you here for a mission."

Father then took a deep breath and closed his eyes to rearrange his mind before opening it and said.

"Sol, since you are going to learn cultivation and magic at the same time, I reccomend you to join Nimbus Academy that teaches every possible subjects including the only school which teaches cultivation, it is also where talented people go, including your sister, Sophia. But I won't force you, it's your decision."

Hearing that, I almost burst out laughing, but I managed to suppress it and made a grin.

I then inclined my head back and said with a flat tone.

"Actually father, we already talked about it, and I have decided to go to Nimbus Academy, so no need to worry."

Father was dumbfounded for a moment after hearing that before he came back to his senses and laughed out loud.

"Hahaha, good, very good, that's my son."

Not long after, father suddenly stopped laughing and made a serious face that looks a bit downcasted, I knew father is going to tell me something important so I perked up my ears with seriousness and a hint of curiosity.

"Now, I... no, your ancestors, have a few requests, it's a request that is given to every descendant with high talents, it's your choice to accept it or not."

Father then made a sigh filled with sadness and anger.

"We hope that you could take revenge for us, so we can have back our pride as a Star Asura Draconian, we do not want to go back to the people that have driven us out, all we want is to settle the scores, dominate all the draconian elders, or even better, the elders of the Great Mountain Council, they who have abadoned us, must pay the price for their actions."

After father said that, he unconsciously tightened his fist and emanated killing intent, resulting a loud crackling sound.

I then suddenly relized that I was unconsciously emanating a killing intent and bloodlust.

'I guess this is how it feels like have pride of your ancestors.'

I nodded to myself before saying with a solemn tone.

"Don't worry father, I swear upon my pride and name that I shall complete this mission in this lifetime. Since they have insulted and driven our race out, they have naturally insulted me to, so I shall make them all pay and suffer."

Father then took a deep breath and retracted back his killing intent before saying with a smile.

"Very good, I'm sure our ancestors will be proud to have you as our descendant. Now, our ancestor have a second requet. Before that, I will tell you something. 

When our ancestor ran away from Sacra, they faced many trials that almost made our clan destroyed, but luckily, in a moment of danger, our ancestors met a clan that was willing to help them, the kitsune clan, they are one of the races that have a voice in the Great Nature Council. So our ancestors requested for their descendants to repay their benevolance no matter what, even if it's life threatening."

A sigh then came out father's mouth before he continued.

"But I do hope you will cherish your life more than a favor and request."

Hearing that, my heart felt warm, so I replied to assure him.

"Rest assured father, I'll try to retain my life as best as possible."

"That's good then, now you can return to your room, you should take a rest and train tomorrow."

"Then I will take my leave now."

Saying that, I left the father's room and walked back to mine.

On the way, I decided to check all the new information I ignored all this time.

I was surprised when I saw an extra affinity, but I can make a guess what my extra affinity is, but I decided to put it in the back of my mind together with the unreadable titles.

Focusing back to reality, I realized that I unconsciously arrived in front of my room.

Pushing the door open, I see my usual room with a medium sized bed, a table set, and some book shelfs at the edge of the room.

There is a window that allows me to view the courtyard. On my free time, I sit there while reading book or watching Aaliyah playing there.

'So I will be leaving this place after a year.'

I then threw my self on to the bed like a bag and reminced about all the events that has happend.

Slowly, my consciousness slowly starts to fade before I fell asleep.

Suddenly, I saw a flash of light that made me unconsciously tighten my eyelids for a while before slowly opening them.

Looking around, I saw a nostalgic room of white, the same one that I saw before entering the world of Viria.

"It's been a while Yuki, or should I say Sol?"

Turning around, I saw the woman, or should I say Goddess, that sent me to this world as her champion, Virs.

She looks the same as when I saw her all those years ago with her usual beautiful smile.

"Yes, it sure is Virs, I'm quite thankful that you brought me here."

Hearing me calling her by name, she made a pout and said.

"Hey, I'm your Goddess, at least call me that or use honorifics."

Hearing her childish tantrum, I made a slight chuckle while she just made a sigh.

She then made a serious face which made me perk up my ear.

"Well, the reason I called you here is about why I sent you to Viria in the first place, we're going to talk about the champion war.

The war will be held about 18 years from now, so you have a lot of time to prepare. The war will be held in a large unhabitated island far from the continent.

When the time comes, you will be transported there with a teleportation magic and the rules will be explained there.

Now, do you have any questions?"

"Every god only have one champion right?"

"Yes."

"Then can a god or their champion make an alliance with another god or champion?"

"Yes, but there can only be one winner, so in the end, they have to choose or fight it out."

"Then will this war require killing?"

"I do not know, but if there is, they will be revived and sent back to the continent."

I was surprised at the lax rule, I still have some lingering doubts, but I decided to keep it in me.

Suddenly, a thought flashed in my mind, so decided to ask her.

"Virs, can you tell me about my titles and affinity?"

Virs then made a questioning face before her hand did a few movements.

When her hands finally stopped moving, she stared at empty space with hands on her chin while nodding to herself.

She then suddenly made a surprised face and glanced at me then back to the screen a few times.

After a few minutes, she finally stops and turned to me, but I can she a bit of sourness in her expression.

"I can't tell you about your title, but your slumbering affinity should be either Divine or Destruction, but seeing that you have no holy-like feeling, it must be Destruction."

Hearing that, I smiled wryly and shrugged my shoulders.

"Well, your talent is really amazing, even the system admits it, and you have affinity with 6 attributes."

"Why thank you for your humble praise madam."

Virs laughed a bit from my sarcastic reply.

"Fufu, your welcome, but as a compensation for being unable to tell you about your titles, I'll tell you a bit about the Destruction Affinity.

But first, I will explain about Divine and Destruction affinity. These two attributes can be powerful based on their user's emotions, if a person is a very kind hearted, he or she will recieve the Divine attribute, and the more kind hearted this person is, the stronger the attribute will be.

But for Destruction attribute, it's a bit different, it's more like the affinity chooses its user, every god except the Destruction God can not control this attribute. 

This attribute is rather dangerous, unlike the Divine attribute, this attribute will urge you to kill people and bring destruction, the more destruction you bring, the more powerful the Destruction attribute in you will be, but when it gets to powerful, the attribute will try to take control of your mind and make you its vessal.

Destruction attribute is known as the strongest and the most dangerous attribute, so please becareful Sol, and also, this is my advice to you, not as a Goddess, but as a... let's just say a friend. Try to kill as less as possible, contain your bloodlust and killing intent so that your attribute don't take control over you. I have seen many people with the Destruction attribute dying because of this attribute, and I don't wish for you to be another one of them."

She then gave me with a worried look, but I just replied with a smile.

"I'll try."

She then kept making a worried face before turning around with a sigh.

"You can go back now."

As she said that, I was engulfed by a ray of light before disappearing from the room of white.
